Changes of the catecholamins, serotonine and lactate levels during sport climbing on a climbing wall depending on the leader climber's style of belaying
Kárníková, Kateřina ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee)
Title: Changes of the catecholamins, serotonine and lactate levels during sport climbing on a climbing wall depending on the leader climber's style of belaying. Goals: The Goal of this thesis is to build on the bachelor thesis and develop its goals. The research is focused on a detection of blood hormonal changes before performance, right after it and after a 15- minute pacification depending on a style of a personal profile and style of belaying of the climbers. Hormonal changes have been compared during the performance on two climbing routes of the same difficulty and different styles of belaying. Methods: The randomized research sample consisted of 10 women, climbers, who climbed two routes using the OS (on sight) style on the level of maximum effort. One of the routes was climbed with clipping in protection points against the second route, which was climbed without protection points. The research was performed using a blood collection from v. brachialis and spinning off the blood plasma of the collected blood. Lactate was determined on Siemens Adria 1800 in a routine laboratory, serotonine was determined using LS-MS/MS with a gradient elution. Catecholamines were determined using LS-MS/MS with an isocratic elution. The survey composed of three psychological questionnaires (DMV, RCAI, Eysenck's...
Strength of knee extensors and flexors as a determinant in performance of speed abilities in youth
Šípková, Petra ; Malý, Tomáš (advisor) ; Zahálka, František (referee)
Title: Strength of knee extensors and flexors as a determinant in performance of speed abilities in youth Objectives: To find out whetherthere is a correlation between the strength of the knee flexors and extensors and the performance in speed tests in a selected age group Methods: There was a laboratory and outdoor testing carried out with a group of 42 students. The results were processed in tables and graphs, the arithmetic mean and the standard deviation functions were used Results: The tests showed that the more powerful the knee flexors and extensors are the better the performance in speed tests is. The hypothesis proved right, there is a strong relation between the knee flexors and extensor strength and a speed performance. The flexors scored higher in the importance for a speed performance than the extensors Keywords: Speed, strength, testing, youth, performance

Title: Quality of Performance in Shooting Sports related to Heart Frequency Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to determine the influence of heart frequency on the quality of performance in shooting sports. To compare the control group with the experimental group on the basis of results. Methods: The method for obtaining data was the measurement of heart frequency by means of Polar sporttesters. Processing of obtained results by means of the program Polar ProTrainer 5. Tables and all statistical calculations were carried out by means of adequate functions of the program Microsoft Excel 2010. Adaptation of military pilots of supersonic aircrafts on stress workload
Kloudová, Gabriela ; Bahbouh, Radvan (advisor) ; Štětovská, Iva (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with impact of stress on performance of military pilots of supersonic aircrafts. The theoretical part is based on definition of the term stress, his relating theories, the strategies of coping with stress and possible methods of objectivization of mental workload. This part also provides an overview of stress occuring during flight activity and specifics of the job of military pilot. The research is based on theoretical models and previous researches and the aim is to analyze the hypothesis about the dependence of stress on performance of the military pilot. This correlation was empirically verified by experimental study conducted in tactical flight simulator designed for a training on supersonic airplanes. The mental workload was investigated by physiological data and psychological questionnaires. The results are showing the most stressful and most difficult situations that appeared during tactical combat mission. There was a significant correlation between personality, resting heart rate and the effectivity of the performance. Key words: Stress, Military pilots, Performance, Mental workload, Heart rate

On Belief in Power
Smetana, Pavel ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Blažková, Miloslava (referee)
This thesis researches the phenomenon of (mostly human) power from the point of view, from which human accepts it and believes in it. At first, it deals with the phenomenon of power in the work of Machiavelli (The Ruler) and it points out the possible danger of its absolutisation. For insight into thinking of Machiavelli, it deals with the analysis of Ľubomír Belás and also with the viewpoint of Anna Hogenová, Jan Patočka, Ernst Jünger, Václav Bělohradský and other authors. The thesis also shows the Comenius' criticism of Machiavelli. There comes a sort of revelation of the principle of power which disregards other values and the thesis warns against it. In the next step, the thesis researches the conception of Václav Klaus (Blue, not a Green Planet) and with the help of Jan Keller's statements and some scientifical opinions in ecological issues (Ravi Kumar Kooparapu) the thesis finds it closed in a certain way of economical thinking, guestioning-suppressive and thus somewhat power-based. Further, this thesis researches the form of strong distortion of the picture of the world which appears in the work of ideologist Alexander Dugin (The Great War of Continents). It shows dangerous power - demagogic features in his work and compares it with the similarities in the orations of Rudolf Goebbels. The...
