This diploma thesis deals with the creation of business strategy for the development of small company. Especially at improving competitiveness and expansion of the branch network of retail stores with cheese. The thesis is based on the theoretical knowledge. In the analytical part is analyzed the current situation and based on the results is designed business strategy for the development of the company.

Reducing operational risks in a construction company using project management

The work is focused on the analysis of operational risks in a construction company, which are associated with the implementation of constructions. In the individual chapters, I focused on the definition of operational risks and counter-risk measures. I defined the project, types of projects, project management and principles of project management. I described the construction company, its organizational structure and operational activities. I analyzed the risks in the construction company, risk management and risk control. Finally, I listed the criteria and options for achieving the goals and success of the construction company. The output of the work are recommendations of procedures to eliminate risks and achieve business goals. The benefit is an increase in the company's competitiveness.

Use of Controlling at a Company

This master thesis deals with the analysis of current system of control and state of control in company PREMO Ltd. The SWOT analysis is processed in strategic planning, followed by Porter's Five Forces Model. To assess the economic situation there are selected indicators used of operational planning for the last 3 years, then evaluate the processes of Marketing and Sales and Altman Index and Du Pont Analysis. The result of controlling will be the implementation of the controller, defining his obligations and responsibilities. The second proposal is dealt with improving the internal processing of information using the reporting.

The bachelor’s thesis deals with strategic analysis. Characterizes, analyzes and valuates the current situation of the Semperflex Ltd. The theoretical part focuses on the general characteristics of strategic analysis and methods of creating strategic plans. In the practical part is made the external and the internal analysis, which is the foundation of the SWOT analysis. The results of the analysis are the essence of making proposals to improve business competitiveness.

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou rozvoje konkurenceschopnosti obchodní firmy v Brně. V teoretické rovině je zaměřena na odborné poznatky a nejnovější trendy v oblasti strategie a konkurenceschopnosti. Na základě literárního průzkumu analyzuje a zhodnocuje stávající přístup k strategickému plánování v dané společnosti. V rámci analytické části je provedena strategická analýza firmy. Na základě literární rešerše a strategické analýzy je zpracován návrh strategie, který si klade za cíl přispět k efektivnějšímu řízení interních procesů, systematičtějšímu přístupu ke strategickému plánování a v konečném důsledku k zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti firmy.

Marketing plannig in construction company

The aim of the thesis is to create a marketing plan for a building company in 2012. The theoretical part is devoted to the description the building market, strategy and marketing strategy, situational analysis and its tools. There are basic concepts explained, each division and structure. In the practical part describes the company and its activities. The marketing situation analysis, describes the current situation in which the business is located and the influences that act on it. Each analysis is the basis for creating a marketing plan for the company Klima-Brno in 2012. The marketing plan defined objectives. The chosen strategy is elaborated in action programs, by which should be complied with that goal. The conclusion is given control system and the possible risks that may impede the achievement of the marketing plan.

The making of the strategic and conceptual documents on the level of Czech ministries (with the focus on the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defence)

Marie-Anna Bitnerová VERASP, FSV UK Abstract The diploma thesis deals with strategic planning at the level of ministries of the Czech Republic (with a focus on the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defence). It focuses on the creation of strategic and conceptual documents at the state level and thus describes the process through the lens of the theoretical framework of the Multiple streams framework. The research was carried out on the basis of in-depth interviews with nine employees of the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defence (who actively or passively participated in the creation of the documents), two experts in strategic planning and one respondent from the Fire Rescue Service in Prague, who is responsible for the agenda. The thesis analyses and then explains the creation of the materials from the initial idea of creation to the final acceptance, implementation, and evaluation. It also focuses on the individual variables that enter the process - time pressure, conflict of interest, the influence of political elections, politicization, etc., and on the actors involved who play a crucial role in the process (officials and their superiors, elected politicians including the government, and experts).
