Methods for the fast detection of water and degradation changes in lithium based electrolytes
Šimek, Antonín ; Čech, Ondřej
This paper deals with lithium-ion batteries, specifically the electrolytes used. The degradation mechanisms oflithium-ion batteries are addressed, with a focus on electrolytedegradation. A considerable part is then devoted to thedegradation of lithium hexafluorophosphate, especially afterexposure to water or moisture. The decomposition of the lithiumsalt is linked to the evolution of hydrofluoric acid, whose influenceon the electrolyte parameters and methods of fast detection is thesubject of the experimental section.
Rule-based Engine for Position Data: Low-code/No-code Approach to Process Logic
Vychodilova, Natalie ; Juran, Radovan
Real-time location systems (RTLS) are becoming astandard part of modern digitized industrial facilities, enablingacquistition of position data of objects or people tracked in agiven monitored area. These systems can utilize the virtualizedcoordinates to divide the real space into user-defined digital zonesand give them meaning within a process. This paper describesthe design and implementation of a commercial RTLS systemextension, intended to eliminate the need for programming anycomplex position data processing by leveraging Low-code/Nocodeapproach to creating process logic in a user friendly way.
Major industrial accidents in the Czech Republic - accident analysis of LPG
Maťa, Jakub ; MBA, Petr Bulíček, (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
The first part of diploma thesis focuses on the characteristics of LPG accidents, their prevention, evaluation and manifestations, the understanding of which is a key prerequisite for statistical evaluation. Next, attention is paid to the characteristics of LPG, which is complemented by safety and identification of the substance and a survey of LPG storage together with protection and safety zones. The main part of the thesis describes individual LPG accidents in the Czech Republic between 2003 and 2022, which are evaluated by the ESIA method and the ISAAC causal model. Finally, a statistical evaluation and a proposal for a correctional measure together with its economic evaluation is made.
General barrier-free routes in Jihlava
Navrátil, Jan ; Radimský, Michal (referee) ; Matuszková, Radka (advisor)
This thesis deals with the development of a master plan for barrier-free modifications of individual routes in the city of Jihlava. The work is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and describes the elements and requirements for barrier-free use of roads. The second part is practical and contains proposals for improving the quality of routes in terms of barrier-free accessibility. This part also analyses the surfaces, gradients and existing treatments of the individual routes.
Information System Assessment and Proposal of ICT Modification
Pustka, Martin ; Novák, Lukáš (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis the information system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in the company XYZ s.r.o will be assessed and changes will be proposed to eliminate its shortcomings in the company. The theoretical part will explain the concepts that will be used later on. The analytical part will evaluate the company and its information system. Based on the analysis and the identification of deficiencies, the design part will make proposals for changes leading to the elimination of these deficiencies.
Calender operation safety in rubber industry
Darvaši, Martin ; Blecha, Radim (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with legislative requirements for the safe production and operation of machinery in the territory of the European Union. It describes the most significant European directives in this field and explains their importance for machinery manufacturers and operators. An overview of harmonized standards and their application is also provided in the thesis. Furthermore, a risk assessment of a rolling machine in operation on the territory of the Slovak Republic is conducted. This section elaborates on the issues related to operating older machines.
Hydrogen as a storage medium
Ventura, Jan ; Zeizinger, Lukáš (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This thesis focuses on various means of hydrogen production with focus on ecological side of each method. Closer attention is given to, so called, blue hydrogen that tends to be considered as one of the ecological ways of producing hydrogen. Next section focuses on hydrogen storage and their comparison based on efficiency, viability and security of each method. Aim is than directed towards comparison of hydrogen and battery energy storage. This comparison is based on efficiency and ability of each method to hold large amounts of energy for extended periods of time. Main outcome of this thesis is creation of theoretical computational model of hydrogen energy accumulation system based on data of energy production of C3 building of FME BUT complex. Based on outcome of this model, specific components were chosen for real life application and an approximate price estimation was made as well as comparison with equivalent battery energy storage. Final step was designing a modular hydrogen storage.
Nuclear Power Plants Design and Safety: A Case Study of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant
Nuclear energy future development perspectives in the Czech Republic and in the world
Horák, Ondřej ; Lisá, Hana (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
The submitted bachelor's thesis deals with the irreplaceable role of nuclear energy and the types of reactors being designed at the same time. A large part of the work is focused on a relevant overview of nuclear reactors in the world, including those under construction. The thesis deals with the legislation of the Czech Republic in the field of nuclear safety and international cooperation between operators of nuclear power plants. In the conclusion of the bachelor's thesis, the perspective of the future development of nuclear energy in our country and in the world is mentioned. The research-synthetic method was used for processing the text.
Knowledge of a selected group of the population in the Karlovy Vary region about behavior during emergencies
Ernestová, Agnes ; Váchová, Alena (advisor) ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (referee)
The content of this thesis deals with emergency situations and behavior during their occurrence. The main objective was to investigate the awareness of the population of the Karlovy Vary region regarding behavior during emergency situations. This knowledge was verified by a questionnaire survey, which also tested the theoretical knowledge of the population in this field. Based on the results obtained from the questionnaire, a proposal for a possible two-hour seminar was created to supplement the missing knowledge and strengthen the existing one. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of an emergency event and its classification according to the method of occurrence. The issue of civilian protection is also addressed, including the evacuation of civilians, warning of the population, evacuation bags, and improvised means of protection. The reader will also learn what a crisis situation is and how to distinguish between its types. The basic components of the integrated rescue system and their tasks are listed here as well. The last chapter covers selected emergency events and recommendations on how to behave during them. The practical part is devoted to the research survey itself. The results were evaluated from 142 questionnaires from residents of the Karlovy Vary region. The condition for...
