Aid for Africa: Its mapping and effectiveness in the case of Ethiopia

The diploma thesis deals with the current problematic of foreign aid effectiveness and is divided into theoretical and practical part. Within the theoretical part is introduced its background needed for further understanding of current state of foreign aid today and its impact on developing countries. Ethiopia is used as a practical example. In the practical part of the thesis are established four sectors with the highest foreign inflows and the impact of aid is examined on them. The final part of the thesis is devoted to recommendations of what might be improved, either in Ethiopia as well as on the general level.

Využití rozvojové pomoci pro zlepšení socioekonomické situace lokálních komunit v severní Ghaně

The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the possibility of use of development aid to enhance the efficiency of traditional production process of shea butter and improve the socio-economic situation of local communities in Upper East region, Ghana. Main part of the work will be a model project, in which the characteristic of the process of production of shea butter in the community Paga and ways of increasing the efficiency of production will be done. Based on the realized work experience and model project there will be generalized recommendations for improving the effectiveness of development assistance in the region.

Návrh integrované strategie cestovního ruchu pro vybrané území

Within these sections, attention is focused on the functioning of local groupings especially of local action groups and their funding opportunities for development (Leader, etc.). Furtermore thesis speaks about "LAG Kyjovské Slovácko v pohybu" and its potential in tourism. This section serves as background material for understanding and following the practical part. In the second part thesis deals with the comparison of the views of interested persons of the local action group, affecting communication bottlenecks of the local subjects and proposals for tourism development.

Možnosti rozvoje cestovního ruchu mikroregionu Rokytná

The diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of the tourism potential in the microregion Rokytná and on possibilities of tourism development. At first, a literature review was made, with the basic terms such as tourism, regional development and sustainable development, there were also described methods for assessing tourism potential. Afterwards, microregion Rokytná was characterized and the tourism potential in territory was evaluated according to method by Bína (2010), which was modified for the evaluation of the microregion. It was also made the analysis of urban plans of two selected villages in the microregion. In the end, measures to support the development of tourism and indicators for monitoring the effectiveness of the suggested measures were proposed.

Identifikace možností rozvoje cestovního ruchu směřujícího z České republiky do Chile

Tourism is a phenomenon for several decades. The fact that nowadays travels for more distant destinations for recreation is popular in the western countries since the fifties of the last century, in the Czech Republic after the fall of communist rule. Travel agencies among other destinations focus on trips to Chile. This country is in an incredible way to diverse, both in terms of relief, climate, and culture. Therefore, it offers a plethora of variations of tours offered by travelers. The thesis focuses on the identification of tourism development in Chile and provides an overview of other options, where to travel in Chile. Conclusions and proposals arising from the practical part were formulated from the results of both structured interviews with experts in the field, so the questionnaires.

Změny venkovské obce na jižní Moravě po roce 1990: případ Lanžhota

This bachelor thesis deals with changes in the small town since 1990. Town Lanzhot has been chosen for the subject of the thesis. It is located at the southernmost spot of the Czech Republic on the border with Slovakia. Basic terms and review of the literature concerning rural changes after 1990 are mentioned in the first part of the thesis. The census data are used in the second part, where the town from the view of demographic, economic and social is described. In the third part the changes in the town that have occurred after 1990 are discussed. The findings in an agribusiness are evaluated in the last part of this thesis. It was stated that the overall development of the comparably sized municipalities in a particular region primarily affected by the human potential.

Návrh využití bývalého vojenského areálu v chráněné krajinné oblasti Poodří

This thesis deals with brownfields and is focused on the issue of brownfields of military origin in detail. The aim of this thesis is to propose an new utilisation of a specific military brownfield located in the protected landscape area Poodří. The former military area has been used as storehouse of fuel for the airport Mošnov. This area came under the administration of the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic in the year 2012. Nowadays the area has no use and deteriorates. An new utilisation is based on a detailed research of this area and on broader conditions. The proposal for an the utilisation respects requirements of the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic, is feasible and sustainable.

Možnost ekonomického rozvoje malých obcí: srovnání případových studií Morkůvky a Kurdějov na Hustopečsku

Bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of economic development in small municipalities. I namely focus on municipalities Kurdějov and Morkůvky. First I describe problems which small villages have (technical infrastructure, civic amenities, the migration of the rural population and its aging, human and social capital). I also deal with opportunities for the development of small villages (housing, business, recreation and tourism). Subsequently I statistically characterize the situation of small municipalities (200 -- 499 inhabitants). Then I characterize the municipalities Kurdějov and Morkůvky in terms of geographic, demographic and structure, economic and technical infrastructure. Finally, I suggest opportunities for the development of both municipalities. The results show, that the municipality Kurdějov has much greater potential for development than Morkůvky. The reason consists in closer distance from the town Hustopeče, connection to the highway D2, which is also the cause of greater interest of tourists. There are also business entities that can offer tourists services (accommodation, restaurants). Both municipalities should be focused on promoting.

The thesis titled "The Strategic development plan of perennial plantings called "Silbersommer" deals with the processing of information on the maintenance and development strategies. Literary part concerns the historical and current usage of the perennials, describes the perennial plantings that are close to the nature and characterizes the principles on which they function. The research concerns the subject of maintenance and development and describes experiments conducted on the "Silbersommer" project in Lednice. The practical part is getting on with the evaluation of the association and comparing the results from the previous years. On the basis of the growth strategies are explained the processes and the behavior of association.

Význam vědeckého výukového centra MU - Bioskop pohledem učitelů ZŠ a SŠ

The following bachelor's thesis is focused on the evaluation of a scientific educational center called Bioskop. The first part of this thesis contains a theoretical point of literature devoted to the importance of science and research on regional development, on employment and on education. Vital parts of this thesis are the methodology and the thesis objectives. The second part focuses on the search for opinions from elementary and secondary school teachers who attended at least one course at Bioskop. This was achieved by the use of questionnaires. Based on the evaluation of these questionnaires was Bioskop, in regards to teachers' opinions, evaluated.
