Project management of business company

This thesis is focused on the evaluation of project management in chosen company,especially projects in the field of aviation. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the project management system in the organization and to suggest possible changes, which will help to improve the prosperity and continuity of the business. In the theoretical part, the author studied the available literature on the basis of which is written a literature review. The practical part describes the system of project management in the organizations. At the beginning there is described the chosen company furthermore individual phases of the project lifecycle, responsibilities of the various participants in the project, needed resources, budget of the project, communication between the participants and used software. Afterwards were described the greatest problems with project management in the company and were suggest possible changes to improve.
The Use of grant titles focusing on the European territorial Cooperation between Austria and the Czech Republic

The thesis is focused on the use of grant titles program of the European Territorial Cooperation Austria - Czech Republic, namely at the level of the two projects, which were realized in the South region, in cooperation with Austrian partners in the promotion of tourism, culture and leisure economy. The introductory part deals with the issues project management, principles of project preparation, structural funds, but especially the Operational Programme European Territorial Cooperation - Cross-border cooperation in 2007 - 2013. The conclusion of the theoretical part is complemented by the INTERREG program VA-Austria - Czech Republic. In the practical part will analyze the data of two projects implemented by selected criteria. Analysis of data will be performed considering to the scope of the data obtained individual project. The results will be evaluated at the level of individual projects, so in general the impact on cross-border cooperation at the level of tourism. As analyzed by the project, and a general level the proposed measure, which would lead to the promotion of tourism in the border region.
Evaluation of preparations for the Olympic Games based on Rio de Janeiro 2016

Brazil is a country which enjoys great potential to become one of the world`s superpowers. In recent years it has had problems to live up to these expectations. Hosting 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro is a unique chance for Brazil. When both sports events are well planned and coordinated they can accelerate Brazil`s economic growth. This is the main reason why the primary aim of this bachelor thesis is to set key milestones for the 2016 Olympic preparations and characterise main factors which affect preparations of the 2016 Summer Olympics. This is achieved through application of general rules of project management and through analysis and comparison of past Summer Olympics. To achieve the primary aim, this bachelor thesis further uses analysis of Brazil`s economic development and description of Brazil`s cultural specifics.
Project management in selected company - Agile vs. traditional approaches

The aim of the study is to compare traditional and agile approaches to project management, analyze particular projects in selected company and propose recommendations for t for implementing agile and traditional approaches. Thesis is focused on IT project management, specifically in in the field of developing software products and services. The theoretical part is devoted to project management and the characteristics of the basic concepts. Furthermore it deals with the traditional methods and agile approach to project management and differences between them. Theoretical knowledge is then applied in the practical part in a corporate environment. Major differences between traditional waterfall and agile approach are compared using the examples of real projects. In conclusion, there are basic problems in implementation of agile methods in corporations and recommendations for their implementation.
Evaluation of the investment project of the JETE completion

The thesis deals with the project of the construction of the Temelin Nuclear Power Plant, as an optimal new production source of electrical energy to ensure the majority of the coverage of the growing electric consumption in the Czech Republic and to ensure the state energy independence in the future. The main part of the thesis is dedicated to the methods of strategic investments evaluation. Emphasis is placed on the dynamic methods, which are also working with the factors of time and risk, which are relevant in this case, because the project time horizon is 70 years. The investment project is evaluated from the perspective of owners, as well as from the overall perspective of owners and creditors. The Monte-Carlo method was implemented into the model to support the decision-making process and to move closer to reality. The method assigns the relevant distribution division to the model input values. The output is the set of available values, and the probability of their occurrence. The main thesis objective lies in the decision of the decision maker with a neutral attitude to risk, whether accept the investment or not.
Use of Project Management for Organization of Sports and Cultural Event

This bachelor's thesis deals with theory and practise of project management. The first part is focused on basic knowledge of graph theory, which is important for next reading. Afterwards there is explanation of project management, its methods and procedures. The main part of the thesis is application of project management for organization of sports and cultural event, which celebrates the 80th anniversary of founding of Sport Club in Ronov nad Doubravou. Firstly the project is created using MS Project 2010 and then the project is analysed for time, resources, costs and risks. The emphasis is on finding of the date of project's beginning and on financial evaluation.
Creating a reference model for mapping of project methodology

The diploma thesis deals with IS/ICT project management. The aim of this diploma thesis is to create a reference model of project management that can be mapped on to another project management methodology. To verify the reference model map to other methodology in this work is defined tool for mapping methodologies. The reference model in this diploma thesis is mapped to the four selected methodology which was subsequently used in the mapping of three selected companies.

This thesis deals with the practical use of project methodologies in real business. Basic concepts of methodology, project management, project cycle and project roles are defined in the theoretical section as well as two concrete project methodologies. The practical part are these theoretical aspects bridged into practice and daily business on examples of specific projects. Afterwards their real use in practice is evaluated and compared.
Application of modern elements in classical project management

This thesis deals with project management and with different ways in which can be cur-rently approached. Beside the conventional, classical approach based on processes, modern approaches based on the theory of constraints and agile principles are discussed. Based on analysis, the main objective of the thesis is firstly to find weaknesses in the classical project management and strong key elements of modern approaches and after that to make suggestions to enhance the classical approach with the selected strong elements of modern approaches.
