Rational reflection of faith in theology
Koch, Rudolf ; Salvet, Ondřej (advisor) ; Svoboda, David (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with theological reflection on the doctrine of the knowledge of the Christian faith. True knowledge is possible only with an understanding of the philosophical reason with which faith is interrelated. Reasonable thinking has its origins in the Greco-Roman wisdom of antiquity. The aim of the thesis is to describe theological teachings that deal with the search for truth from the time of ancient philosophy. The ancient books of the Old Testament describe, in the form of a distinction, the unity between the knowledge of faith and the intellectual knowledge of human truth. The fullness of truth has been perfected in the good news of Jesus and is accessible only in the light of faith. The main sources of faith are the testimonies of early christianity and the origin of the formulation of the confession of faith. The encyclical Fides et ratio, which is the primary source of this work, combines philosophy with theology. The study of philosophy is an essential part of theology and together they support the search for truth. Today's theological reflection emphasizes important aspects in matters of understanding the nature of man and the meaning of life. This truth is available only in the search for God, which is the culmination of every theological reflection. Keywords Word,...

Seizing the past in the Novels of Julian Barnes with Regard to the Author's Narrative Techniques
ČEŠKOVÁ, Karolína
The thesis examines the concept of the past in selected works by Julian Barnes, regarding the narrative techniques chosen by the author. It focuses on central thematic strands: fictionalizing of history and the bidirectional nature of past and present. The outlined thematic strands represent the author's approach to treating the theme of the past in his novels. Besides the common theme of the search for historical truth that Barnes' works share, the aim of this thesis is to examine the depiction of the past in relation to the themes of memory, truth, and how these factors shape the formation of individual and collective identities. The thesis considers not only narrative but also thematic inspiration provided to Barnes' contemporary writing by postmodern tendencies, particularly the scepticism towards historical truth and the subjectivism with which he views history.

East and West and Cognition
Koláček, Luboš
of rigorous work Mgr. Luboš Koláček, Ph. D. The work is a specific approximation of the European author to the thought of the West with the East, based on the thinkers he selected on both sides. It presents a reflection of ontological, epistemological, ethical and psychological, sociological and other questions and answers to the problem, indicated by the name itself. It is a kaleidoscopic thinking that, by multiplying the contents in the reflections of the others and the others in the third thinkers, intertwines and unfolds into a huge breadth of ideas. In the work, intentionality is contained in the appropriate network of connections, which represents the West as thinking of explicit meanings and the East as thinking of implicit meanings. The point is to present to the reader not only ready-made statements, but the reader is invited by questions to cooperate in uncovering the unconcealed, i.e. aletheia. It is a hermeneutic method that starts from ready-made answers and only then comes to the questions that are at the same time the background from which the answer arose. It is a special dialogical method that does not want to juxtapose ready-made judgments, but requires the reader to go through this challenge as a co-solver of the question that is to come to the difference between the West and the...
The similarity between Socrates and Jesus of Nazarteh
Čížková, Blanka ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Blažková, Miloslava (referee)
This paper's focus was the similarity between Socrates and Jesus. We have compared various events and circumstances in their lives and in their teachings. Both men were responsible for the emergence of a thinking that was unparalleled until then. Their teaching is of an ethical kind. The task of every man is not only to know the virtues of goodness, justice, truth, etc. but to live by them.
East and West and Cognition
Koláček, Luboš ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Rybák, David (referee) ; Kalábová, Helena (referee)
The work is a philosophical and necessarily also historical-philosophical comparative analysis of mutually corresponding accents of the issue spanning the period from the 8th century BC to the present, with regard to the "axial period" of cultural "miracle" similarly prosperous cultures and philosophies in the relatively severed countries of East and West. It then deals in more detail with some important and fundamental philosophers and spiritual teachers, related scholars or artists of various disciplines, but also lesser-known personalities, based on general inputs into the deepest depths of thought of these thinkers, all in a relatively intuitive connection, because the scope of work does not allow for a more detailed continuous interpretation of such a wide range of issues. In the end, the author emphasizes, philosophically analyzes and evaluates the most pressing issues of contemporary society. The work should primarily show the Way, not lead, but it is up to the reader / researcher to decide how to approach the text. There is always "some" Enlightenment at the end.
Remains of Internal Emigration
Sližová, Eva ; Polívková, Kamila (referee) ; Klímová, Barbora (advisor)
This diploma project has been gradually composed from performative applications of fragments of my poetry collection which is being written. It deals with the presentation possibilities of literary poetry by its author. Simultaneously it reflects the particulars of my poetry practise that is, amongst other things, strongly inspired by Vladimír Holan's inner emigration. Since I’m working with open material I’m not binding myself to a concrete goal/purpose.
