Autor: Marek Zámečník Title: Case study of the physiotherapy treatment of a patient after embolisation procedure of spinal arteriovenous malformation with a nidus in the Th12-L1 segment with developed severe paraparesis of lower limbs. Objective: The aim of this work is a summary of theoretical and practical knowledge, approach the issue of spinal arteriovenous malformations. And from the perspective of a physiotherapist to manage a case report of a patient who underwent embolisation treatment of spinal arteriovenous malformation of ThL spine, after which developed severe paraparesis of lower limbs. Methods: The work is divided into two parts - general (theoretical) and special (practical). Theoretical part is based on the research of specialised literature and summarises the basic information about spinal cord lesions and in great detail about the arteriovenous malformation of spinal cord, about diagnostics and treatment of individual types of malformations and finally a physiotherapy of this kind of diagnosis. Practical part documents the process of physiotherapy of the patient after embolisation treatment of spinal arteriovenous malformation with developed severe paraparesis of lower limbs. Results: The therapy reached the best results in the area of better overall condition of the patient,...

Title Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with Paraparesis Aim of the thesis The theoretical part brings general outlook and detailed information about diagnose of spinal cord injury. Practical part overviews a study case of a patient with traumatic spinal cord injury resulting in paraparesis. The study includes outcome and effect of the applied therapy. Method The protocol is based on two weeks therapeutical plan that was based on initial kinesiological examination. Therapy included maximal number of most appropriate techniques to reach maximal result of improvement. Result After two weeks of intensive rehabilitation patient showed a signs of improvement. Nevertheless, patient is 10 months after injury with slow progress of improvement. Two weeks is short time for significant improvement. The results were recorded not quantitatively according to standard testing, but the quality of the movement, fluency, comfort and the dexterity which patient obtained in this two weeks, are the main positive results. Author: Jan Novák Title of thesis: The case study of physiotherapeutical treatment of the patient with a diagnosis of spastic paraparesis as a result of intradural meningioma Objective: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to elaborate theoretical knowledge about a spastic paraparesis as a result of intradural meningioma. The theoretical knowledges and findings were used as a base for creating proper physioterapeutical treatment for patients with diagnosis mentioned above. Methods: The thesis is devided into two parts, the theoretical part is aimed to spinal and spinal cord anatomy, its physiology and patophysiology. Moreover information about spinal cord tumors, their symptomatology, diagnostics and treatment are included. The practical part contains the case study of patient and includes in kinesiological analysis, detailed description of all the therapeutic units, out kinesiological analysis and the conclusion. This part gains its practical findings from specialized experience at rehabilitation department in Fakultní nemocnice Královské Vinohrady in period from 21st January to 15th February, 2019. Results: Patient's health condition has been improved. We could observe better muscle strenght and range of motion of lower extremities and participation of core muscles. Moreover quality of sitting,...
