Typography of web design

Typography is one of the most important elements of web design and marketing. Good typography makes web design more appealing, which is important for readers in evaluating titles and the quality of text. The aim of this thesis is to provide a characterization of good and bad typography. I will use this characterization to identify modern typographical trends in a digital background. In the theoretical part, I will describe the basic features of typography. In the practical part, I will distinguish appealing typography and visual smog, and find specific examples demonstrating typographical trends in web design.
Preparation of 19th century poetry for publishing (case study)

This thesis deals with 19th century Czech poetry editing. It outlines, among other things, the historical and social conditions of literature edition of this era and strives to point out all that could have affected the situation of the time and that could have subsequently been the cause of certain editing alterations. The author also tries to think of what a 19th century editor needed to know and consider; what mistakes could have been caused by human factor and/or the author's or external influences. On an example of a short poem from the first half of the 19th century, the thesis attempts to point out the proper and improper alterations together with their necessity or voluntariness.
Contemporary Typography in the Context of Art Education

The aim of this study was to summarize the theoretical content of the Ty- pography/Writing lesson. The theoretical part focuses on world and the Czech typography in the 20th and 21st centuries. It summarizes its most important personalities and adds new ones that are not yet included in any publications about the evolution of typefaces. It also introduces the reader to current trends, events and publications. The theoretical part includes a recapitulation of the development of typography since the mid-15th cen- tury. The development includes key personalities and technological ad- vances. The didactic and practical part is based on the theoretical part. The didactic part is devoted to the search for connections in the field of typography in the curriculum framework. Afterwards, individual cur- ricula of secondary art schools with the educational field of graphic de- sign were examined and compared. The focus was on the time allocation to this subject. From the information gathered, a thematic block was suggested, treating the topic of contemporary typography consisting of three parts - explanation of theory, discussion and practical application. The Scripture and Hermeneutical Solutions for its Interpretation in Various Christian Traditions

Matouš Holeka's dissertation examines various interpretation methods of the Scriptures by theologians in the Roman-Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant traditions. These interpretation methods can be most clearly identified in the relationship between the Scriptures and tradition, in historical-critical methodology, and in political-cultural readings of the biblical texts. In this dissertation, these themes are shown as representing different ways of common critical reading of the sacred texts. As well as the historical-critical approach, there are also pre-critical and ideological readings. The dissertation starts by looking at this diversity in documents of the World Council of Churches. It shows that the differences in understanding the Scriptures are no longer connected primarily to the specific views of the respective traditions, but rather that similarities or differences in readings across churches. Christians within these traditions refer to their own sources: in the case of the Roman-Catholics to Church documents, in the case of the Orthodox to the Church Fathers and as far as Protestants are concerned, to the Confessions. ABSTRACT: The diploma thesis entitled Left-handedness and its acceptance in contemporary education system and families follows up and complements the bachelor thesis entitled The issue of left- handedness in the development of children and youth - history, present and perspectives. The first and second chapters of the theoretical part of the diploma thesis focus more deeply on the characteristics of left-handed writing styles, advantages and disadvantages of left-handed writing, suitable writing aids, classroom order, organization of work environment and writing methodology. The third chapter is devoted to laterality tests with a focus on the upper limb, lower limb, eye and ear, test tasks, their conditions and evaluation. The last fourth chapter of the theoretical part deals with the central nervous system, more precisely the brain and its asymmetric anatomy, function, control of upper limb movements and motor development of the upper limb. How to orient social relations in times of crisis?

This work that called How to orientate social relationships in the crisis period? is concerned with works of three chosen authors of European philosophical phenomenological tradition in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. They are Zygmunt Bauman (Pole), Byung-Chul Han (Korean living in Europe for longer time) and Anna Hogenová (Czech). This work has built according to uniform scheme for all three authors. It presents their life and work shortly then presents their ideas and conceptions in a longer face. It also presents response of their works by chosen authors from The Czech Republic and foreigners. Important ideas and conceptions have to serve as a possible way in a help for social work and also for description, analysis, possible development and solution of problems that arise in the crisis period or - as well as told with Bauman - in liquid times. This work has written i terms of Christian Crisis and Pastoral Work - Diaconia so it contents also reference to this subject of study. This work derives from works of three main authors and from works of next ones, too. An important part is a work with Holy Scripture.
Aleš Najbrt and his standing of Czech graphic design

This bachelor work consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. In the theoretical part we will focus on the Czech graphical designer and typograph Aleš Najbrt and his contribution to Czech graphical design. Part of this work will be his work in contemporary context. Also, we will briefly comment on the history of graphical design. In the practical part this work will focus mainly on typography. The practical output of this bachelor work will be an author's font following its usage on a poster.
