Methods of non-destructive testing of materials and products
Vontor, Jakub ; Mouralová, Kateřina (referee) ; Prokeš, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to perform a search of methods of non-destructive testing and to choose a right method for experimental test of sample. Bachelor thesis is mainly focused on the methods which are used for inspection of welds. Result of experimental non-destructive test is important to verify by destructive inspection.
Maitainig and Diagnostic Methods for Gas Turbine Engines
Avrat, Jan ; Ing. Med Slavomír, Ph.D (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This master`s thesis deals with methods of turbojet engines maintenance and diagnostics. First specify and review methods. Then choose acceptable and perspective methods of non-destructive testing. Based on this choosing will be designed modern service center.
Evaluation of quality welds on chains for harvester
Teuer, Tomáš ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Sigmund, Marian (advisor)
The diploma thesis examines the influence of setting welding parameters and welding process on the resulting structure and strength of the welded joint of harvester chains. The theoretical part discusses the problem of weldability of pine steels by using method “135” with the possibility of destructive or non-destructive testing of welded joints. In the practical part, this matter is examined on a specific weldment, the harvester chain. Cross member with a cube welded in two ways by method 135, followed by an assessment of the performance of welds. The results of the evaluation are written down in the manual.
Use of thermographic methods for diagnostics of concrete bridges
Janků, Michal ; Hobst, Leonard (referee) ; Matula, Radek (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
This dissertation is focused on the research of the applicability of the thermographic method in the diagnosis of concrete bridges in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part characterizes selected defects of concrete structures and the principle of their detection. The practical part describes the measurements made in the laboratory on the test specimen and the field on the concrete bridge. Most attention is paid to infrared thermography, ground-penetrating radar and ultrasonic pulse-echo method. Based on the results of the dissertation, recommendations for the use of the thermographic test method in practice were developed.
Determination of the formwork strength of concrete using a Silver Schmidt hardness tester
Janka, Marek ; Kocáb, Dalibor (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deal with the issues of nondestructive testing of the formwork removal strength of concrete. It works with two different compositions of concrete and for both of them, it determines the relation between compressive strength and surface hardness obtained by the SilverSchimdt hammer with mushroom plunger. It shows inappropriateness of ultrasonic impulse method to determine formwork removal strength. It compares obtained relations with each other and with the literature. The goal of this thesis is to utilize determined relations for verification of minimal requested formwork removal strength during construction.
A Project of a Product Cleaning Line and Non-Destructive Testing of Machined Parts
Pospíšil, Karel ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
Description of Ultrasonic Cleaning technology. Description of Non-destructive testing technology process. Design of Ultrasonic Cleaning equipment. Design of equipment for the ultrasonic cleaning machine. Design of non-destructive testing equipment (Liquid Penetrant Inspection and Magnetic Testing). Feasibility study of designed technologies and supporting processes.
Non-destructive properties detection of concrete of prestressed beams
Mikulec, Jan ; Bílek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
The masers’s thesis is about the methods of non-destructive testing and about determining the properties of prestressed concrete. The first part pursues an introduction on the prestressed concrete, its essence and material properties. The next section describes the non-destructive diagnostic methods used in the practical part – the ultrasound impulse method, the resonance method and the rebound hardness test method. There are described destructive tests on the specimens for the calculation of the calibration. This is followed by a practical part, which describes the item tested - truss, its manufacturing, storage, and perform the test. Then search value are calculated from the test results and results are compared according to various procedures specified in the standards. The last section is devoted to the calculation of camber truss and loss of preload.
Design of instrument for the analysis of crack initiation and propagation
Šubrt, Stanislav ; Andrš, Ondřej (referee) ; Houška, Pavel (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to get an insight into a field of non-destructive testing using potential drop techniques that have nowadays become the standard not only in the fatigue and loading tests but also in the industry. These methods can serve to non-destructively and continuously measure material specimens, thickness, corrosion losses, deformations, spectroscopy and detection and analysis of crack geometry. They can help to identify materials and measure material changes over time. The second part of this thesis deals with designing the aperture for detection of cracks in steam and product piping using potential drop technique modified by Ing. Ladislav Korec, CSc. Last part deals with extensive testing, experimenting and evaluation of the aperture.
Non-destructive testing of welds
Šaloun, Jan ; Sigmund, Marian (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis describes non-destructive testing (NDT) of fusion welds of metals. There are five fundament methods of NDT discussed in the theoretical part – visual and magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic, radiography and penetrant testing. Principles of methods, examining procedures and their evaluations are described. The methods are compared with each other. In the experimental part of the thesis two samples of welding joints were welded and tested by selected methods. To verify correctness of the indicated defects, metallographic samples were made. At the conclusion practical results are compared with theoretical statements.
Detection of Failures and cavities in structures using radar
Tkadleček, Petr ; Anton, Ondřej (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis describes non-destructive testing and methods, which are used in civil engineering. It is focused on the detection of failures and cavities in concrete structures. In the first part the methods are described and compared. The second part describes experimental measurements on concrete structures, which contain failures. The results are described and interpreted. The used methods are compared. It was evaluated, which of these methods is suitable for the detection of failures and cavities in structures.
