Foundation Supporting Non-Profit Organizations Focused on the Social and Humanitarian Field

This bachelor thesis examines and describes how foundations registered in the Czech Republic support non-profit organizations operating in the social and humanitarian field. The aim of the idea was to find out the structure of the Czech foundation sector focused on the social and humanitarian field. It was also map the amount of funding that Czech foundations have provided in 2018-2021 to the non-profit sector operating in the social and humanitarian field, in addition to which other activities that Czech foundations carry out in these areas will be mapped.

The status of women in management positions of the foundations and endowment funds

The diploma thesis is focused on the topic of women in leading positions of foundations and endowment fund. The thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part of the work discusses the role of women in society, historical development and theoretical concepts with an emphasis on the explanation of concepts that are intertwined in the contexts of civil society. It describes the segment of foundations and endowment funds in more detail, clarifies the basic specifics of the non-profit sector with an emphasis on values and the meaning of work, and explains the individual concepts associated with the position of women in the management of organizations. In the empirical part, qualitative research is carried out, which deals with understanding the experience of women who hold a director's position in foundations and foundation funds at several levels. A key element is the clarification of the path of individual women to the leadership of a specific organization, their motivation and possible barriers. How do women see themselves in a leading position and what is their view of the story and culture of a particular organization. The History of Parish in Stráž nad Nežárkou between 1900 - 1950

The Bachelor thesis deals with the histori of the parisch in Stráž nad Nežárkou in the period 1900-1950. The main topic is the beginnings of the clerical administration in Stráž nad Nežárkou, which date back to the middle of the 14th century and further developed over the centuries until 1900. It describes the beginnings of education, which is related to the Bishop of Budějovice J. V. Jirsík. From the 20th century there is information from both world pre-war, war and interwar periods. It describes the life of the owner of the local manor, opera singer Ema Destinnová. The work deals with the history of transfers and exits from the Roman Catholic Church in the period between 1919-1941 and other information from the parish until 1950. The theoretical part took place mainly by collecting data from archives and practical by processing them and supplementing them with information from the used literature and Internet sources.

Cultural activitis in the City Domažlice

This written work deals with cultural activities of the inhabitants of the town Domažlice between the years 1880 - 1899. The used information is taken from the "Posel od Čerchova" newspaper. The aim of the work is to show particular cultural events as they were presented in the newspaper. The work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is focused on the concept of culture. It explains the importance of the word culture and events that happened in the 19th century, especially in the second half of the 19th century. The middle part introduces us into the history of Domažlice in the 19th century. We want to create at least a minimal concept of the city development and of the form of the city. We describe the political and economic level of the city in the defined years. We include institutions which were there.The last part shows the cultural activities of the inhabitants the way they were presented in the local newspapers. We answer the question how people lived in a small town and what cultural life they had. We got some answers. The most common activity was the formation of clubs that allowed people to take part in some private or public social events like concerts, trips, lectures, debates etc. The membership brought certain benefits and a certain self-fulfilment. The communication Strategy of Nonprofit Organization Movember Foundation in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis Communication Strategy of Nonprofit Organization Movember Foundation in the Czech Republic presents international nonprofit organization which focuses on men's health. The first part of thesis focuses on history of the organization and its missions. The thesis continues with a chapter in which is explained the role of marketing in nonprofit organizations then marketing goals in the organization are defined. The next part of the thesis is concentrated on communication strategy of the organization in the Czech Republic. This part also analyzes who are target audiences and defines competitors among other nonprofit organizations within the same area of interest. Furthermore this chapter presents communication activities in two time periods: 2009- 2012 and 2013-2015 and analyses them. The next part concerns author's own research, which will reveal awareness of the organization in the Czech Republic. Moreover research will show if Czechs consider the organization as trustworthy institution or not. In addition to that, research will disclose if the organization was successful in terms of increasing the awareness of male's cancer during the 7- year-period of its presence in the Czech Republic. Josefína Kablíková, personality of Vrchlabí in the 19th century

In my Diploma thesis I wanted to explore a theme which is close to my region. I decided to write about Josefina Kablíková, a modern and progressive woman of the 19th century. Josefina was an emancipated woman with a very intriguing life story. She was one of a few women botanists of her period. At first, I will present her own biography and a biography of her husband, Vojtěch Kablík. Vrchlabí in the 19th century and its specification is described. The following chapter is devoted to Josefina Kablíková as a botanist. Her botanical research far surpassed the region of Krkonoše. She became famous for her gathering of the Krkonoše flora. Even several botanical species are named after her. Another section illustrates the scientific research of Vojtěch Kablík, a pharmacist and a chemist in Vrchlabí. The last section concerns the Mánes family, who were frequent guests in the house of Kablíkovi. A large number of Mánes's drawings, paintings and portraits came into existence depicting Vrchlabí, its surroundings and Kablíkovi themselves. The aim of this Diploma thesis is to explain significance as well as the life story of the Kablíkovi couple in the context of the period and the region.

Problems of activity of foreign foundations and endowment funds in Czech Republic

THE ABSTRACT Topic: Problems of activity of foreign foundations and endowment funds in Czech Republic. This thesis is primary aimed to clarify problems regarding to activity of foreign foundation and endowment funds in Czech Republic. The purpose of this work is to explain related problems and provide possible solutions for such issues. In the early chapters, the author familiarizes readers with history of foundations and endowment funds in Czech Republic and explains the terminology and meaning of foundations and endowment funds as a legal person. Secondly, the author analyses legal situation in Czech law and presents various options for activity of foreign foundations and endowment funds in Czech Republic. Furthermore, the author deals with the description of the solution consisting in the establishment of branch in Czech Republic. This part of the thesis is the largest content because the author provides possible solutions for various problems arising from establishing of branch. The thesis also describes foreign legislation relating to foundations and endowment funds. And finally, the author states possible changes in Czech law, which will lead to the better foundation's legislation in Czech Republic and attaches drafts of documents usable for the thesis topic.

Marketing communication of Czech Olympic Foundation

Title: Marketing communication of Czech Olympic Foundation Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to analyze and evaluate the current marketing communitacion in Czech Olympic Foundation and according to these knowledges to create a project presenting proposals for the improvement of the marketing communication of this organization to increase the efficiency in use of the individual parts of the communication mix and to introduce new unused instruments. Methods: For the evaluation of the marketing communication are chosen both quantitative and qualitative research methods. The method of electronic interrogation with a sample of available respondents is realized. Data collection is carried out thanks to prepared questionnaires which are sent by electronic mail to each interviewee. The method of indepth interview with the manager of the project Czech Olympic Foundation is also used to find out all current communication channels. Results: The outcome of this thesis is a proposal of the marketing communication containing new communication instruments and ways to increase the efficiency of the existing ones which are based on the analysis and evaluation of the current status of exploited marketing instruments. In the first part is subscribe clearly theoretically few pages about applied research, including dividing and describing the most often use research methods. In the second part bachelor thesis point on describing organization which gives a subsidy and describing subjects which can receive a subsidy. In the third part is the description of few projects, which were successfully finished.

Foundations in Central Europe: The Comparative Analysis of the Sector of Foundations in the Czech Republic, Bavaria and Hungary

The main aim of this work is to analyze the development of the foundations sector in three countries, in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Bavaria. From methodological point of wiew it is conceived as a comparative study. The main goal is the analysis of the development of foundations in these countries, especially after the year 1989 which meant a possibility to reestablish the foundations as a full-fledged institutions of civic society. Main theoretical basis of the work is the assumption, that the interruption of natural development of foundations in the Czech Republic and Hungary after the year 1948 had significant effects on their restoration and function after the year 1989. The work aims to analyze different approaches to restoration of foundations in the Czech Republic and Hungary and to compare their different initial conditions with the conditions in Bavaria, where the development of foundations in democratic environment with the exception of the era of Nazi Germany wasn't broken.
