The Potential of Railway Stations in Trade and Tourism
Diploma The Potencial of Railway Stations in Trade and Tourism examines the potential of the selected railway station. It is primary focused on increasing the attractiveness of these areas, using new technologies and innovations. For this work was chosen a station building in Kutná Hora. The resulting proposals will be applied to respond to the current needs of local passengers regarding the possibilities of the station.

Architectural progression of the building of the main railway station in Prague

In bachelor thesis I examine a architectural progression of the building of the main railway station in Prague. I will focus on the main evolutional phase of the building when the start of the construction of the future station dates back to 1869 and was in the Neo-Renaissance style. Another evolutional milestone is the beginning of the 20th century when it began to be built in an Art Nouveau building designed by Josef Fanta. In the 70s, there was extensive reconstruction by architect Josef Dandy and early 21st century has begun reconstruction led by Patrick Kotas.

The Personality of Josef Fanta and his Art Nouveau works This thesis will deal with the personality and Art Nouveau works of Josef Fanta, who lived from 1856 to 1954. In the first part, the thesis approaches the personality of Josef Fanta and outlines his style of historicism. The main part of the thesis will focus on Fanta's works influenced by Art Nouveau during the period 1897-1932. First, it will deal with his Art Nouveau buildings in Prague and also outside the Capital. Attention will be focused on the Railway Station building of Franz Joseph in Prague, today's main railway station, the Hlahol building and the Cairn of Peace Memorial. This thesis also introduces Fanta's tombs, headstones and memorials. The thesis touch on his rebuilding of old historical buldings and his influence within interior design, particulary his designs in the Austrian pavilion at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris and his decorations for the visit of Franz Joseph to Prague in 1907. Lastly, this thesis will try to define Fanta's motifs in the Art Nouveau style and his interpretation of Art Nouveau. It contains art projects and theoretical study. The topic is looked from many different views. It's trying to explain, how was the theme taken in different times. Text is divided into three main parts: a) theoretical - about few artists (groups of artists), which had the railway as popular theme of work, mainly art and film b) didactical - contains realised projects, on a secondary grammar school and on a ceramics with younger children c) authorial part - is about my own production, it is divided for three parts: drawings, book and concertina book

This diploma thesis describes design of Electrical railway station cart. This thesis contains research part, which focuses on historical background, contemporary products, trends, technical specications and possibilities of progressive technology applications. Based on this research, nal design was created and is described in the second part from the view of shape, technology, construction and ergonomics. Thesis ends with summarization of designs benets and with evaluation of fullling thesis goals.
Restoration of vanished roads and railways connetcting Moravia to Lower Austria

The project deals with the restoration of the railway connecting Hevlin and Laa an der Thaya. The renovation of the railway station in Hevlin is divided into individual stages. The first stage consists of conversion of the Art Nouveau expedition building in the museum. In the next stage a platform will be built and adjacent sites will be re-arranged. An important step at this phase is the roof construction for the future expedition building. The roofing will serve for summer cultural events or markets. This new utilization will benefit from free flat space of the platform. The last step is completion of perimeter walls and the building will serve as a railway station. After construction of bridge the railway connection between Hevlin and Laa an der Thaya will be reopened. Another railway between Brno and Vienna will be created as well. The aim of the study is to strengthen relation of neiborougs from South Moravia and LowerAustria.
Railway station Brno - Královo Pole

The existing railway station "Brno-Kralove pole" is the second largest railway station in Brno, which has about 10,000 passengers daily, and serves for transfers between different modes of transport. The building of the existing Brno-Kralovo Pole railway station is located in front of a high-speed bridge and there aren't much space for situating of the new transfer center. In the framework of the reconstruction of the existing railway station, was created a complex reconstruction, combined with the improvement of the internal arrangement of the building. The reconstruction of building was made according to modern quality standards of transport and passenger comfort.
To Dvur Kralove by train - Transfer Terminal in Dvur Kralove nad Labem

The new transport terminal in Dvůr Králové, which combines mainly rail and bus transport. The new location opposite the old train station is significantly closer to the city center.
To Dvur Kralove by train - Transfer Terminal in Dvur Kralove nad Labem

It is a project of a transfer terminal in Dvur Kralove nad Labem, which is to allow easy transfer of train / bus. New terminal include additional features and services. I also focused on the connection to the surroundings, creating a new vision for the solution of the whole territory, which border street 28th of October, Benesovo nabrezi, Alesova and Dvorakova streets. Along the Alesova Street are designed multifunctional houses with underground parking. Between the terminal and the residence there is a park that allows access to the train and bus in several directions. On the side of Benesovo nabrezi, I placed an indoor pool with a wellness center. There is also a café with an outdoor terrace, a bicycle storage room, a bicycle rental and an information tourist center. The main station building also includes a post office, a grocery store and a bakery.
