The answer to what Zaježová is, can be simple. Zaježová are so called „lazy“. Zaježová is perceived by the outside world - society - primarily as an alternative community of people living in coexistence with nature, and “Zaježová” presents itself “in this way”. Personally, I think that Zaježová is defined mainly by the strong individualities of people who are able to say about themselves and present that they live in a community. Last but not least, Zaježová is a place where I spent a large part of my childhood, because my parents belonged to these strong individuals and decided to live life “alone”. My work tries to capture what Zaježová is through various media, including architecture. The output is a set of atypical tourist maps and a proposal to transform the former fire station into a gallery.

The diploma thesis formally consists of a mosaic of outputs across the media. It contains a set of videos, a set of embroidered pieces of clothing and a set of hand-drawn, subjective maps, all supplemented and accompanied by drawings, watercolors, texts, objects and audio. Thematically, the work has two layers. First, it deals with the reflection of (my) selected hobbies that relate to specific ideas about nature and landscape. These hobbies are divided into three thematic areas named Emo Maps, The Cowboy Spectrum, and Bio Tops. In the second layer, the work is a critical reflection on the use of hobby strategies in art work, as one of the last available ways to create in times of permanent crises.

Community Web for Turists

This Bachelor thesis approaches design, development and testing of application designed mainly for tourists. Application is divided into two parts. The server part provides the main organization of users, recording of user tracks, tracks management and viewing, as well as integration into user groups and trip planning. The second part is represented by application for mobile phones, that allows users to upload their actual position in real terrain from GPS device onto a server and also monitor position of other users.

The development of the microregion on topographical and thematical maps

This master thesis deals development of geographical names, cartographic symbols and on thematically maps documents changes of land use in microregion Lomnicko. Basis for its elaboration were analog and digital topographical and thematically maps from various sources and different time of periods. A part of the thesis are characteristics of used maps documents and conditions of their obtaining. Development of names and cartographic symbols is documented by tables and charts.

Building Model Generator for Open Street Maps

This work concerns obtaining data from the maps provided by the project OpenStreetMap. The data are converted from the format of geographical latitude and longitude to the Cartesian coordinate system. This work also concerns building type recognition in build-up area which are situated on the downloaded map. Part of the work is a demonstration application which is able to model 3D geometry of the buildings, based on the results of the recognition algorithms and also creates a terrain in which these buildings are situated. Generated model is displayed using the OpenGL graphics library.

Naprocházku.cz - Web Service for Neighbour Walks

In this bachelor thesis we are going to describe the process of creation of a new web portal for sharing of tips for walks. The website is written in PHP using Nette framework. The goal of this application is to create user friendly interface for adding new walks and upgrade it with automatic retrieval of information about the walk surroundings from publicly accessible databases.

Web Application for Editation and Visualization of Borders

This thesis is about design and creation of an application for visualization of village borders and other territorial units and borders of areas, which are defined with them. First, transfer of borders options from OSM database and transfer from register RÚIAN are described. Then the thesis describe the application for visualization and editation this borders with ability to define own areas.

City of Pardubice on the maps - development and perspectives

The primary objective of this bachelor´s thesis is to analyze the development of Pardubice on topographic maps, cadastral maps and plans. The work deals with the presentation of the historical city maps since the 16th century, through military maps to the current maps. Part of the bachelor ´s thesis is devoted to vedutas and assess the accuracy of the plot of the city selected cartographic works.
