Tourist Stamps Collection Administration Application for Android
Mráčková, Kateřina ; Láník, Aleš (referee) ; Kubíček, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes design and implementation of an application for administration of tourist marks collection for Android platform. The object of the thesis is to implement application allowing management for more profiles, filtration mechanism, view on map and simple statistics creation. Application is written in Java language and for its work uses, among other things, GPS, two points distance calculation by Great Circle algorithm and source data retrieving from XML files.
Trees Have the Power
Mikušková, Nina ; Fajnor, Richard (referee) ; Kovářová, Marta (advisor)
The project "Trees Have The Power" is being developed since 2013 and revolves around the strength of interpersonal connections experienced throughout our lives. It points out the reality, that we all create our own micro-cosmos around us, shaped and expanded by every new person we meet. First phase of the project involved exhibition of a tree within a gallery, which served as a metaphor of an ever expanding organism. For the second phase an online social platform was developed, to map out and connect my personal contacts. The third outcome offers space to present the "tree". By involving people from my own personal tree of connections, we are creating lectures, interactive events, concerts, film screenings, and discussions focused on multiple aspects of life. The aim is both to test the skills and initiative of a specific community as a driving force in sharing and accumulating knowledge and experience; and at the same time to demonstrate the magnitude of impact of such activity. This unorthodox framework of encounter offers opportunity to generate new perspectives within the community, and enrich the audience.
Library for OSM Rendering on Smartphones
Vaďura, David ; Brejcha, Jan (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The aim of my work was to design and implement a vector map rendering library for mobile phones. The source of the data for the library is the project OpenStreetMap. The library must include these functions: loading and caching of tiles, support for online and offline maps, rendering of all geometry types and possibility to define custom map style. The proposed architecture uses a hybrid approach to presenting the map. Base features are rendered into texture upon loading them. Layers containing text or icons are rendered in real-time above the base map. This enables them to rotate and it ensures that the text stays readable even when zoomed in. The resulting library was implemented in C++ using OpenGL ES for hardware accelerated rendering. It works on both iOS and Android, and it is designed in such a way, that it can be easily used by individuals and companies.
Web Application for Longboard Routes Mapping
Jedlička, Jan ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Bambušek, David (advisor)
The gole of this thesis is creating web application with database of longboard routes, which will allow users to find the nearest places suitable for this sport, or add their own route with its description. Framework Google Maps API is used for displaying the map and routes.
Augmented Reality on Android - Displaying of Map Features in Terrain
Halás, Timotej ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create an application of augmented reality for Android operating system. Based on the preview from the camera, map data and the location of the device determined by the GPS module, a scene is created showing additional tourist information in the field. As a source of information and altitude data, the OpenStreetMap map and the Google Elevation API are used. The position in the Cartesian coordinate system is determined by geographic location using the WGS84 geodetic system. LibGDX game framework is used for rendering. The resulting application was tested in the field and it is useful in getting to know the surrounding landscape. It has also helped to navigate to points of interest by displaying their distance from the point of observation. The result of this thesis is an application suitable for exploring the observed environment.
Fitting and Extrapolation of Turbocharger Turbine Maps
Turbo codes and their applications in transmission technologies
Kuvik, Michal ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
Purpose of this work is to clarify problems of anti-error security with the help of turbo codes. This work can be divided into two parts. In the first part we look at the theoretical aspect of features of turbo codes, their coding and at various approaches of decoding secure messages for example SOVA and MAP, also at analyzing usage of turbo codes in promising transmission technologies. Second part is focused on creating an application with the help of software Matlab and on verifying attributes of this method in this software.
Multiuser Mapping Application for Mobile Device
Utěkal, Jan ; Láník, Aleš (referee) ; Mlích, Jozef (advisor)
This thesis presents design and implementation of multiuser mapping application for mobile device. The aim is to create a coordination system intended primarily for controlling mobile units of the Police of the Czech Republic. First, the existing solutions with similar focus are described. Subsequently, the most suitable communication, mapping and database technologies are selected. The next part of this work describes the system design and its implementation. Effectiveness of the system is verified in a series of tests, which deal with the power and data consumption. The thesis concludes with possible extensions of the program and ways of future development.
