Legal aspects of consumer protection when shopping online

The thesis deals with the issues of consumer protection when shopping online. The aim of the thesis is to find out what problems the consumer can encounter when shopping online, look into the options of their legal solution and finally advise consumers on how to prevent or solve possible problems. The thesis also deals with the basic obligations of the sellers, advantages and disadvantages of shopping online, institutions of consumer protection and the judicial and out-of-court proceedings. Results of a questionnaire study conducted by the author are presented at the end of the thesis.

Selected aspects of PR communication of companies

The aim of this thesis is to identify opportunities and ways of using blogs for marketing purposes, to give a basic overview of the state of the blogospere in the Czech republic and to evaluate the importance of blogs as a PR tool. The thesis is divided into 2 parts - theoretical a practical. The theoretical part deals with the topic PR, its definition, pros and cons, classification, strategical PR process, PR tools, evaluation of efectiveness and PR on the Internet. The following chapter is about blogs and - besides their definition, history or typology - describes also how they can be used in pursuance of communication of companies. Also results of the research Blogbarometer 2015 are introduced there. The practical part comprises of interviews with bloggers and companies and results of the questionnaire among blog readers. The final chapter includes a case study, the purpose of which is to demonstrate possible ways of cooperation with bloggers using an example of a particular company.

Personal data protection

On one hand development of information technologies contributes to really fast communication, what leads to technological progress and effective trade, but on the other hand this development leads to collecting big number of personal data. This thesis deals with basic terms and characteristics in connection with personal data protection. Second part presents application of these basic knowledges into particular areas, where is personal data protection really important. Main goal of this thesis is to find the unclearness in legal regulations of this area and evaluate how our personal data are protected on national and international level. I have analysed not only legal framework, but also some jurisdictions made in Czech Republic. This thesis is oriented on defining basic terms connected to personal data protection and also I have focused on describing the main problems and unclearness in real fields of our lives- banking, employment, health service and internet.

Analysis and visualizations of relationships over data from social networks

This diploma thesis deals with various types of relations observable in social networks. First part contains survey of existing papers focused on social media data analysis and visualisations. This survey is followed by research of existing visualisation applications. The contribution of this thesis is a new look at relations on social networks, from the side of relationship between users who write posts on any given topic. To visualize these relations was chosen network graph. On the basis of established criteria existing instruments were evaluated and since any of them did not meet all requirements, I created new application for visualising relations. Thesis also includes a description of selection the appropriate libraries for its implementation, explanation of user interface and a summary of configuration options and customization. The end of the work contains analysis and visualisations made with newly-created tool.

Selected aspects of development of information society for business opportunities in the Czech Republic

Today's environment of information society brings many changes. The main objective was to identify those changes which the development of the Internet affect business opportunities. A fundamental change is globalization and the related impact on marketing, strategic planning, record-keeping and human resource management. The thesis also focuses on the importance of education, experience and skills and their relationship to the business, which raises the question whether the current period has contributed to more successful business plans. Different levels of knowledge and experience, along with information literacy of individuals affect the use of modern information and communication technologies for formulating business plans. On real cases, the author applies theoretical knowledge and explains the context, because it shows that there is no demonstrable importance of Internet development to the success of business plans.

Vlog, the form of video on Internet

CTFxC - Internet Killed Television is an internet channel on YouTube, which has been operating since 2008. This channel introduces a new form of entertainment that is based on browsing the internet and is presented in the form of vlogs (video blogs). Using this internet channel, this work focuses on the form of a current vlog, its characterization, formal aspect, internal structure, content focus and furthermore introduces the topic of the creators of the vlogs. The work discusses the potential impact of vlogs on mass culture and the cinematography sphere and analyses the vlog in detail, using a selected film in which the vlog holds the role of the narrator.

Vlogs as a part of the Czech Youtube community's works

This thesis is focused on Czech YouTube vlogs, their authors and spectators. I have therefore been watching those videos and attending events in the YouTube community over a few months and also asking authors about their motivation to create videos as well as the spectator's motivation to watch them. I have categorised and analysed Czech vlogs and associated videos. I have formed an overall opinion by applying texts by various sociologists and other theoreticians with the aim of presenting an integrated view on this topic. Youtubers and vlogs have the power to influence their audience as there is such a large number of spectators, mostly children.
