Revitalization Program of Floral Garden in Kromeriz

Flower garden is located near the center and along with Kroměříž Podzámecká garden is a nature - architectural monuments, included in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The whole garden is designed to very strict, according to the rules of Baroque garden architecture. Solved territory, the following Flower garden, in the past have been an integral part of the whole garden. For the contemporary nobility was a source of pleasure gardens and relaxation. Currently, the following Flower garden largely neglected and the public is not allowed here. For such sights, which Flower garden undoubtedly is, this situation is disquieting. Bachelor's thesis on the topic of revitalizing the garden should be to clarify issues and outline possible future restoration garden.

This bachelor thesis focuses on unfinished monument of Karel I. Filip of Schwarzenberg, which is located near castle garden in Český Krumlov. It deals with the urbanism of the building and its description and also describes its current form. Author deals with the construction history of the monument, the person of the monument builder and also the Field Marshal Karel of Schwarzenberg, to whom the monument was dedicated. Important part of this thesis is the style of the English garden and sentimental gardens, as according to the author, this topic is closely related to the topic of the work. In final chapters, the author deals with buildings of a similar type in the Czech Republic and in Europe.
Brno Villa Quartet and Their Gardens Potential

The presented diploma thesis "Brno Villa Quartet and Their Gardens Potential" follows four villa gardens in Brno that are currently open to the public. It presents individual gardens and observes their changes and use over time. Brno Villa Quartet refers to four Brno villas that were built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. These are the only private houses accessible to the public as part of cultural heritage. The work asks the question to what extent gardens are used as a space for presentation of villa buildings, or the space is presented as a monument of garden art. It is a comparison of individual gardens and their presentation in the category of self-service tours, tutored activities, accompanying seasonal events and the use of modern technologies. The second part of the work is more focused on the garden of Villa Stiassni. After the description of the garden, a draft guide text for the garden of Villa Stiassni is presented. This syllabus will become the basis of new guided tours. With help of a lecturer's explanation, the garden is treated as a monument of garden art. Villa Stiassni, under the management of the National Monument Institute, will thus be the first house in the Brno Villa Quartet to offer visitors guided tours focused on the garden. Methodology for the observation and assessment of the process of woody plant introduction in monuments of garden art

The methodology aims at the comprehensive evaluation of the process of woody plant introduction in monuments of garden art. The evaluation serves for the identification of suitable assortment of woody plants not only for historical gardens and parks but also for urban greenery. A detailed classification the methodology allows the assessment of individuals from the viewpoint of their aesthetical and biological functions. Data sets for individual species make it possible to estimate the introduction risk.

Methodology for the rescue and revitalization of introduced woody plants in monuments of garden art

The methodology was disigned with the aim to develop a complex tool for the identification of priority individuals of woody plants for their rescue and revitalization. Furthermore, a sequence of measures to that end is given. As a result, gardeners have a method how to identify priority plants and priority measures for the rescue of valuable individuals in monuments of garden art; thus, viewpoints of garden architects, dendrologists and arborists are integrated.

Methods to register living collections in monuments of garden art

This methodical tool is designed to register and catalogue woody plants in living collections that are integrated in monuments of garden art. The tool, with the aid of descriptive and evaluating criteria and within the framework of architectural composition and vegetation elements of the monument, aloows to develop a spatially explicit registry organized in a database in the GIS environment.

A certified monument protection methodology for the application of interests nd goals of monument protection institutions in the management of protected monuments of garden art with a high importance of woody plant collections

The main goal of the certified methodology is to establish a firm sequence and content of individual measures taken to secure interests and goals of institutions of monument protection in the management of monuments of garden art with important collections of introduced woody plants. The approach consists of a logical sequence of specific assessment and the interpretation of their results. This integrates interests of all the relevant specializations; in particular, the potential conflict between the viewpoints of a dendrologist and a garden architect is solved.
