Complex rehabilitation after replacement of anterior cruciate ligament of knee joint and return to preoperative acitivites
BOOROVÁ, Pavla
As the topic of my bachelor thesis I chose "Comprehensive rehabilitation after replacement of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee joint and return to preoperative activities". I chose this topic because the rupture of LCA is very common especially with athletes with whom I would like to work in the future. Another reason was the fact that I have a personal experience with the LCA rupture and I would like to get more into this issue. The anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology of the knee joint is described in the theoretical part. I consider the chapter in which I deal with the mechanism of LCA injury interesting. I believe that this information could be beneficial not only for athletes. An important chapter the treatment of LCA injury is the one, where I describe both operative and conservative treatment and a chapter dedicated to physiotherapy after LCA sculpture, where I describe the various stages of rehabilitation and the techniques and procedures used. For the practical part I chose the method of qualitative research. The research group contained a total of four patients after LCA rupture. Two of them were treated operatively, and two conservatively. The therapy with surgically treated patients took place between 5th -10th postoperative week, and monitoring conservatively treated patients lasted 4 weeks. All patients were athletic people aged 32 to 52 years. Initial and final kinesiological examinations and appropriate therapy were performed within research. The aim of this work was to determine an appropriate rehabilitation plan that was optimal for patients after LCA surgery and to map alternative methods of treatment for LCA injury. The results of the research show that in the surgically solved patients regular exercise primarily resulted in an increase in joint extent, muscle strength and stability in the knee joint. In the conservatively solved patients we managed to ensure a better stability of the knee joint above all, which was most affected in both patients. This work can be used as a study material for physiotherapists in their clinical practice or for physiotherapy students interested in this issue.

Thesis name: Case Study of a Patient with Cerebral Palsy Goals: Goal of this work is to present theoretical requirements for leading a succesful therapy of patients diagnosed with cerebral palsy and to apply these findings in a therapy of a patient with cerebral palsy. Summary: This work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In theoretical part there is defined cerebral palsy and its forms, there is described epidemiology, etiology and risk factors associated with cerebral palsy. There are presented methods and procedures based on which is the diagnosis of cerebral palsy made. The latter chapters are focused on treating patients with cerebral palsy, and based on thorough study of articles and other literature are added comments regarding effectivity of selected procedures and methods. Mainly rehabilitational methods are presented with emphasis on physiotherapy. There is a complete case study of a patient with cerebral palsy in the practical part. This part is consisted of anamnesis, entry physiotherapeutical examination, individual therapeutical sessions followed by exit physiotherapeutical examination. At the end there are the results and evaluation of the effects of the therapy. Empirical evidence based on which was this thesis made was collected during an internship in Dominiek...

The influence of cross-country skiing on the posture of children from the psysiotherapeutic view
VÁCHOVÁ, Klára
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of influence of cross-country skiing on the posture of children in middle childhood. A disorder of children's deportment may causes a wrong technique of skiing and it may have a negative influences on the human musculoskeletal system or it may cause the deterioration of the primary disorder. The first aim of the thesis was to find out what influence has cross-country skiing on the posture of children. The second aim was to influence the quality of children's posture with physiotherapy. This thesis is divided into 2 parts. Theoretical part contains the theoretical basis of the cross-country skiing, general aspects of the musculoskeletal system, description of the age category of the examined group and possibilities of the theraphy. Practical part is elaborated as a quality research and contains an examination of 5 athletes at the age of 13. Based on the initial examination the uniform theraphy for probands has been suggested and took 3 months. Then the resulting examination and the conclusiont of the whole theraphy has been realized. The examination found out the hypertonus of musculus trapezius at all of 5 probands. At 4 of them there were found shortered flexores of the knee-joint and instability in the ankle-joint. The created therapeautic unit was applicable at all of the individuals. By targetly-suggestioned therapeautical unit the reduction of the hypertonus of musculus trapezius was reached. At 4 of the probands the grade of reduction by examination of shortered flexors of the knee-joint has been confirmed and also improving of the stability quality in the ankle-joint has been proved at 2 of the probands. This thesis can be used for insight of the problematics connected with children's cross-country skiing in middle childhood. Thesis could be also used as a study material for practice of physiotherapeutist, coaches of the cross-country skiing or as a educational material for special group of people dealing with the cross-country skiing.
Dysfunction of pelvic floor
Divišová, Kamila ; Šorfová, Monika (advisor) ; Tlapáková, Eva (referee)
Title: Pelvic floor dysfunctions Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to determine the effect of physiotherapy based on the methodology of Ludmila Mojzisova on patients that were showing pelvic floor dysfunction symptoms. The objective is to take the clinical picture of the patients and compare it to the typical findings of Mojzisova. Also to determine which one of the clinical history events had most likely the biggest impact on the development of the dysfunction. Methodology: For the assessment of the effectiveness of the therapy on the patient, I used the pain scale called visual analogic scale (VAS), that was recorded at the beginning and at the end of the therapy. For the comparison of the clinical picture, I used the aspection while focusing on the divergence from the posture and assessment of spasms and blockades according to Mojzisova. This was completed with a test of stretching maneuvers and deep and superficial sensation. In order to determine the root cause of the problem of each patient, I used their clinical history. Findings: This diploma thesis confirmed the benefit of the Mojzisova method therapy in lowering the pain levels and improving the functional state of probands. This was further confirmed by the clinical picture of the study subjects. The most probable root cause of the...
Physiotherapy as a way to improve adherence to CPAP therapy of patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrom
Dvořáček, Martin ; Bitnar, Petr (advisor) ; Smolíková, Libuše (referee)
Author's first name and surname: Bc. Martin Dvořáček Title of the master thesis: Physiotherapy as a way to improve adherence to CPAP therapy of patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrom Department: Department of physiotherapy Supervisor: Mgr. Petr Bitnar The year of presentation: 2018 Abstract: Obstructive sleep apnea is the most common type of sleeping disorder. It is characterized by an excessive daytime sleepiness, deficits of cognitive functions, serious cardiovascular issues and general decrease in the quality of life. The golden standard of the treatment is CPAP therapy. However the long-term disadvantage of this method is the low rate of patients adherence. The minimum requirements for CPAP machines usage are only met by approximately fifty percent of the patients. The presented thesis is divided into three main parts. Firstly, the positive effects of CPAP therapy such as reduction of excessive daytime sleepiness, improvement of cognitive functions and overall increase of life quality of the patients were reviewed. In the next part the relationship between the monitored factors and patients adherence to CPAP was investigated. Lastly, the desired increase of patients adherence to CPAP therapy was tested. Selected patients were divided into three different groups according to their therapeutical...
