A Demand Forecasting Model for Bottled Beer
Bek, Klára ; Oulehla, Jiří (referee) ; Luňáček, Jiří (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with building an econometric model of a bottled beer consumption forecast. The aim of this study is to provide such input in an investment plan, which considers purchasing a bottling line in a craft brewery. Besides it contains procedures of statistical and econometric model verifications in order to determine the optimal one.
Analysis of ZOO Brno Attendance
Stejskalová, Markéta ; Šustrová, Tereza (referee) ; Novotná, Veronika (advisor)
The main aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse visitation of the zoological garden in Brno and to make recommendations which could result in higher values of visitation. The major causes of the fluctuation in visitation are found out and the econometric model is created. Due to this model, we can predict the future values of the reference indicator. In order to determine the interdependence between Zoo Brno attendance and the number of guests accommodated in the South Moravian Region, the econometrics model of South Moravia Region visitation was created too. Based on the analysis of external and internal environment, recommendations which could positively influence Zoo Brno attractiveness and number of its visitors are suggested. All used methods of analysis and creating model are presented in the theoretical part of this diploma thesis.
An Econometric Model of Electricity Demand in the Czech Republic - a Comparative Study of the Relationship between Retail and Commercial Prices in EU
Franěk, Martin ; Pavláková Dočekalová, Marie (referee) ; Luňáček, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of this master´s thesis is to create an econometric models explaining the formation of electricity prices with a focus on comparing the environment of retail and wholesale prices between years 2010 and 2020. The model will be created for the environment of the Czech Republic and another chosed EU member country. The partial goals of the work are the research of professional literature, the creation of a database for the computational part, the creation of the model in the appropriate statistical software (GRETL and IBM SPSS Statistics 25), testing the stability of the model and the discussion and evaluation of results.
The Long-term Energy Planning
Pallová, Ivana ; Paar, Martin (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with long-term energy modeling. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the explanation and description of the main parts of econometric models and comparison of these models. Then explains a description of LEAP modeling software. The practical part is focused on data analysis and their use for creating model of the energy system of the Czech Republic. The next part describes the creation of the model with information about input data and their expected progression until 2040. The last part is devoted to control and evaluation of results from LEAP modeling software.

Holánová, Z. Factors influencing the number of medals won at the Olympic Games. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2023. The thesis includes the identification of factors that influenced the number of medals won at the 2016 Olympic Games. The literature review consists of the development of the Olympic Games. It also deals with the identification of the factors that may influence the number of medals won in the Olympics. Then the thesis in-cludes work with data and the selected quantitative method. The last part of the thesis includes the use of regression analysis and the evaluation of the factors that actually had an impact on the number of medals won at the Olympic Games. The results are commented and compared with the literature.
Ekonomické a ekologické aspekty elektromobility
Otáhalová, Barbora
The bachelor thesis deals with the dependencies of economic and ecological factors in the field of electromobility in European countries for the year 2021. The literature review characterizes electromobility, briefly describes its development, current status, as well as advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore, a comparison of certain factors between European countries is presented in this chapter. The theory of regression analysis and the stages of econometric modelling are also included in this study. The practical part includes creating and testing two econometric models. The results show that there is a positive dependence between GDP, the number of charging stations and the number of newly registered electromo-biles. Another sub-result is the confirmed dependence of newly registered EVs on the reduction of CO2 emissions.

Zámková, Nikola
A remuneration is an important activity from both the employee's and employer's point of view. A wage is a main source of income for an individual or a family. There are many factors affecting the wage. The main aim of this thesis is an identification of the factors affecting the average wage. The aim will be achieved by creating appropriate econometric models. The independent variables will be chosen on the basis of an overview of literature. The partial aim of this thesis is a verification of the gender pay gap. In the practical part, models with differences according to gender and education will be created. These models will be tested on the premises of a classical linear regression model. The results of the models will be compared and afterwards, the impacts on the average wage will be interpreted.

Srbová, V. The Economical Aspects of Waste Management in the Czech Republic. Diploma Thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno,2017. This diploma thesis desribes the trends in waste management in the Czech Republic and the implementation of waste management in the regions and their development in time. Further, it concerns in the economics of waste management in the Czech Republic, that is above all in the production of waste based on regions, its subsequent processing, municipal waste. An econometric model is created based on the data available. This model meets the requirements of a classical regression model. An analysis of waste production in the Czech Republic in period between 2002 - 2015 is carried out via time series analysis. Graphical and numerical outputs suitable for the illustration of the particular problem are created. The data used were comming from the databases of the Czech Statistical Office, the Czech Ministries and their organizational bodies, organizations dealing with waste.
