Coaching as a method of increasing work efficiency
Havel, Jakub ; Tužová, Julie (advisor) ; Stejskalová, Irena (referee)
This bachelors thesis deals with the terms couching and increase of work effectiveness due to coaching. Its aim is to give a basic explanation of both terms and, subsequently, to study a work environment, where coaching is used as a type of personal management. This bachelors thesis should introduce the function of coaching, its fundamentals and tools it works with, mainly a coaching interview. The subsequent research focuses on a coaching interview in more detail. It shows what such an interview looks like in real life and it compares theory with practice. At the same time, the thesis strives to find out through a questionnaire what it is like for the coached persons to work at a position, where coaching is used, how the interviews are constructed, what their benefits are and how they provide motivation. An important part of the thesis is also a comparison of answers of the coached persons with a transcript of the interviews and a consequent comparison with the real achieved results of coached employees.
Comparison of the effectiveness of selected teaching methods in geology at the primary schools
MACHNÍKOVÁ, Petra
The presented master thesis compares the effectiveness of geology teaching at primary school using a frontal and "alternative" teaching methods. For the research pupils were firstly tested in the form a didactic pre-test, which was focused on the basic knowledge of geology. Then two geological topics were selected and worked out following a frontal and interactive teaching methods (i.e., using Inquiry Based Science Education and multimedia). The topics were alternately taught in two groups (classes) of respondents at the primary schools. The difference in the effectiveness of the selected teaching methods was evaluated on the basis of the results of the post-test. According to the obtained results the teaching of geology at the primary school is definitely more efficient using "alternative" teaching methods in the comparison with frontal methods of teaching.
Determination of the efficiency of solar collectors covered makrolon plates.
MATĚJKA, Jan
This thesis deals with the alternative cover of the liquid solar collector. It describes the structure of the solar collector itself and the influence of various parameters that directly affect its effectiveness. It analyses technical - economic possibilities of the usual type of the glazing and compares them with possibilities to cover the collector with the makrolon plates. The aim is to perform a theoretical evaluation to find out whether the referenced type of covers, due to its characteristics, could be used. In conclusion the evaluation of values and possibilities of its practical use are shown.
Income poverty in the Czech Republic and social transfer system effectiveness in its elimination in years 2005-2013
Kubelková, Karina ; Kotýnková, Magdalena (advisor) ; Krebs, Vojtěch (referee) ; Průša, Ladislav (referee) ; Kalmus, Jaromír (referee)
The dissertation deals with the issue of poverty in the Czech Republic, especially with its economic, political and historical context of development, theory and practice of its measurement and possible international comparability, both in scale and in terms of the effectiveness of social transfers system. The effectiveness is understood as reducing the extent of poverty represented by the at-risk-of-poverty rate used e.g. in Europe 2020 Strategy. The aim of the dissertation is to analyze the problem of income poverty and its development in the Czech Republic with a special focus on the effectiveness of the social transfers system in relation to reducing the extent of income poverty. The effectiveness is analyzed separately in case of social transfers as a whole, and in case of social transfers excluding old-age and survivors' pensions. The emphasis has been placed on international comparisons and on the poorest layers of the population represented by the study of the lower poverty lines than the standard one. Based on empirical analysis of survey data from the EU-SILC, it was disproved that the effectiveness of the Czech social transfers system was above average compared to the countries of the same welfare state model, the CEE region and the EU during the years 2005-2013. The Czech pension system plays a crucial role in the level of effectiveness of the social transfers system. The good position of the Czech Republic among the all three studied groups of countries in terms of effectiveness is maintained mainly thanks to its pension system. The current low level of poverty rate was achieved mainly thanks to the pre-crisis measures, respectively due to the specific timing of these measures package. The contribution of this dissertation consists in complex and systematized view of the income poverty in the Czech Republic, accompanied by the analysis of the effectiveness of the social transfer system. This analysis, owing to the time series (2005-2013), applied methods (methods of the European Commission vs. IZA method) and scope of the international comparison (welfare state model, CEE region and EU), has no similarity in the Czech scientific literature so far.

The merger is examined from several perspectives. Firstly, the author surveys the economic results and indicators in the long term horizon and interprets them in terms of the organizations themselves, but also in context of the cultural sector and public finance of the Czech Republic. The author draws information on the economic situation mainly from secondary documents, such as annual reports, management conceptions and also internal documents that were provided to the author by economic department of the National Theatre. In addition to economic impacts, the author also looks at other aspects of the merger, which are more qualitative -- such as dramaturgy or changes concerning employees. The author has received primary information for this purpose through personal interviews with current or former employees. In conclusion, the author presents the intentions of the institutions' leadership, as well as its visions for the near future.
