Measurement of predator effectiveness by means of cage exclusion experiments
Fischerová, Laura ; Kindlmann, Pavel (advisor) ; Tropek, Robert (referee)
1 Abstract Cage exclusion experiments are used in ecological and agricultural studies to determine plant- insect interactions (Kidd & Jervis 2005). Cages are used to detect the insect density on the plant, while other influences such as natural predators or other pests are excluded. Exclusion of predators by using physical barriers (different mesh size) is one of the most used ways to determine the impact of natural enemies on the pest population. The results of these experiments suggest, that the pest population on caged plants, from which natural enemies are excluded, has a lower percentage of mortality and parasitism than the population on plants, where the natural enemies have full access to (Luck et al. 1988). Results of this method are used in programs of biocontrol when searching optimal plant treatments and possible alternatives instead of using insecticides (Lawson et al. 1994). The question is, whether cage exclusion experiments are adequately reflecting changes in pest populations and their impact on plants. As a result of caging the area, changes in microclimate and plant growth occur, which subsequently affects present insect populations. Cages do not also allow leaving the pests from the cage and, in some cases, unwanted natural enemies enter them, even though they have been previously...
E-learning as a means of teaching at universities
Title: Effectiveness of advertising in Czech hockey league stadiums for the sponsoring companies. Objectives: Expression and evaluation of efficiency of advertising in Czech hockey league stadiums. Methods: Quantitative research among the Czech hockey league stadiums and comparison of acquired data within defined regional units. Used research methods are the descriptive analysis, qualitative polling, content analysis, calculation of media indicators and the comparison method. Results: Effectiveness of advertising in Czech ice hockey league stadiums was mathematically expressed, including statistic and graphic analysis. Index of effectiveness of stadiums and advert types was compared. Due to the low number of stadiums involved in research, the most and less effective advertising type and place was determinate only as a theoretical conclusion. Keywords: effectiveness, advertising efficiency, sport advertising, sport sponsorship
Gemmotherapy and its use in practise
Škodová, Adriana ; Pokladníková, Jitka (advisor) ; Zubrová, Julie (referee)
GEMMOTHERAPY AND ITS USE IN PRACTISE Student: Škodová Adriana Tutor: PharmDr. Jitka Pokladníková, Ph.D. Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic Introduction: Gemmotherapy or budding medicine is an herbal healing method, whose roots go back to the Middle Ages and folk healing. It uses germ-shaped parts of plants (especially buds) for the production of liqueur glycerin macerates, which are proven to contain larger quantities of some important substances with healing properties than adult parts of plants. Objectives: The aim of this work was to summarize basic information about gemmotherapy from available literature; to summarize the description of the traditional use of selected plants and gemmotherapeutics prepared therefrom; to provide a summary of studies based on evidence-based literature, especially with regard to content and confirmatory medicinal properties, adverse effects, drug interactions and contraindications. This bachelor thesis deals with increasing labour productivity in a chosen company. The basic elements of productivity were based by Henry Ford who launched the first assembly line which made the production in his company very effective. The increasing productivity is tackled in the manufacturing company Valeo Compressor Europe s.r.o. producing compressors for air conditioning systems used in cars. The objective of the thesis is to suggest the most suitable adjustment of a particular production operation in the company making the whole production process more effective. Economic aspects of tax procedure for all taxes
Koňaková, Veronika ; Francírek, František (advisor) ; Vančurová, Alena (referee)
Indirect administrative costs associated with tax assessment and its proceedings are too high and the whole process is inefficient. During the tax procedure both primary documents and proper evidence are handled inefficiently which makes the tax system unnecessarily costly. In order to examine economic properties of the tax procedure in practice I used questionnaires and archive research. In order to store a quality outputs, in the form of properly assessed taxes in the shortest possible time, it is necessary to process the input data in the most efficient way possible. In my thesis, I propose austerity measures which will increase tax efficiency. Only good information system and a complete, clear systematic archiving of all transaction can guarantee productive work with low costs. Only those tax consultants or accountants who have complete documentation have a control mechanisms which allows them to offer high quality services which ultimately makes the whole tax system more efficient.
Efficiency of tax proofing for income tax and value added tax
Koprdová, Nikoleta ; Francírek, František (advisor) ; Vančurová, Alena (referee)
The diploma thesis points out the problem of higher than necesary compliance costs of taxation on income tax and value added tax in the proofing process and it provides an analysis of the causes of this indirect administrative costs. The thesis is focused on difficult proofing process in tax proceedure and provides most frequently required proper evidence by tax authories. Methods of analysis and synthesis from is used in the diploma thesis. These are the findings from literature, questionnaire and archive survey. The outcome of the thesis is that by consistent archiving of all proper evidence used on income tax, can significantly improve the proofing proces used on value added tax and vice versa. The recommendation is to create an separate archive where the tax entity keeps the all primary documents and proper evidence, which would also have the effect on reduction the compliance costs incurred in the tax proceeding.
