Individual and social contexts of dawnward social mobility

The author deals with the phenomenon of individual and social contexts of downward social mobility. She focuses on cases of families with at least one college educated parent whose children did not follow their parents in college education attainment. After defining terms such as social status, social mobility, capital and social reproduction that are key for later analysis, she summarizes previous researches of social mobility and educational inequalities. Thereafter she presents a qualitative analysis of gained interviews with ten respondents. This research has been done by methods of grounded theory that enable to uncover contexts of the analysed phenomenon. The author argues that the phenomenon in general, according to the analysis, is not a problem. It is understood as a problem only after it has been set into the context of the social situation in which the phenomenon occurs. According to the analysis the children of college educated parents do use and develop their abilities gained by socialization and upbringing by college educated parents. Nevertheless, these children do not develop their abilities in the formal system of education that is commonly conceived as the best educational institution. Changing Role of an Educator in the Life of a Person with a Hearing Impairment

This bachelor thesis discusses the different conditions in the boarding houses for people with hearing impairments now and in the past. It provides the experience of the deaf and overviews available literature. The theoretical part explains the basic terms associated with hearing impairment, communication, and methods of educating the deaf, deaf institutions, defines the upbringing, education and teaching positions and deals with the boarding house in the context of past and present. The practical part describes the experience of hearing impaired people with boarding houses and with educators using a questionnaire survey analysis.
Prevention of socially pathological effects in Elementary school

The thesis is focused on sphere of the prevention of socially pathological effects in elementary school because only her has a great influence on teenagers. The main point of the study was to examine the level of prevention of socially pathological effects in individual schools. For comparison was made on Forcomparison, was made an research on a chosen sample of primary schools of urban and village type. According to methodological terms, was used substandard questionnaire used for personnel of selected primary schools. The research part was expanded to include the author's own practical experience in the implementation of prevention for children from 1 to 9th class of primary school.

SUMMARY: The thesis with the title " Development of the Juvenile Deliquency in the CR, Analysis of the Root Causesand Corrective Measures" analyses the development of the four following kinds of deliquencies - theft, robbery, riotous conduct and growth of drug addiction aminy adolescents in years 2000 - 2009. The thesis also focuses on the analisis of deliquency causes at this group and compares preventive measures in terms of various departments.
Periodicals of Czech institutions of adult education in the first half of 20th century

This work deals with periodicals of Czech institutions of adult education in the first half of the 20th century. It focuses on the analysis of one volume of the three institution periodicals. Specifically, the periodical called Česká osvěta and published by Masaryk's Educational Institute, a journal called Dělnická osvěta and published by the Labour Academy and the periodical called Osvěta venkova and published by institution called Free Pasant Study. The focus is on the volume of period 1929-1930. The main topics mentioned in the periodicals include theoretical reflections on adult education and awareness and concrete actions in this field in Czechoslovakia - the legal framework (educational laws), the annual reports of organizations, issues of cooperation at local and national level, an overview of offered activities. Periodicals also bring news, features and examples of similar activities abroad. In the fornamed periodicals there is also place devoted to outstanding personalities from politics, culture and education. The major topics also include librarianship, literature, theater, puppetry, film, or to a lesser extent, music. Magazines do not often keep away from political and ideological issues. Local elites and public life on Royal Vineyards 1880-1922

This bachelor thesis deals with local elites and public life on Royal Vineyards. The theme is defined by years 1880 - 1922, a time period in which Vineyards were an independent city before they joined Prague. The aim of the thesis was to determine which factors have influenced the creation of Royal Vineyards as a modern czech city, a place with history, tradition and prestige. The bachelor thesis first examines the composition of the population of Royal Vineyards inhabited mainly by the middle class population, from which rises the so-called local elites, personalities with social influence which participate in a decisive manner on functioning of the city and the formation of its specific nature. The process of the growth and building up of the city is also analyzed, including selected public buildings. The thesis ends with the study of education on Royal Vineyards, a selected part of public life, into which fade the aspects of previous chapters.
