The Pikler Early Childhood Education

Title: The Pikler Early Childhood Education Author: Dana Noack Department: Katedra psychologie, FF UK Supervisor: Prof. PhDr. Lenka Šulová, CSc. Abstract: The intention of this study was to explore how the parents who are familiar with the Piklerian principles use these in upbringing their children in the family in the period of early childhood. The theoretical part describes the process of socialization (with the emphasis on the preconditions for the early interaction both on the child's and the parent's side) as well as the topic of upbringing in the family (basic models and the relation of upbringing to the socio-cultural and the historical context) and the most important aspects of the child development in the first three years. The last chapter of the theoretical part introduces the Hungarian pediatrician Emmi Pikler, the basic pediatrist Emmi Pikler, the basic premises of her approach and it's principles related to the issue of the motor development, care and play. The empirical part presents the results of the qualitative content analysis of data gathered by a questionnaire. These data provide us with a basic picture of how the concrete parents use the Piklerian principles in upbringing their children.

Kerhartová, J.: Czech grotesque /Graduation thesis of the post-Bachelor study programe/ Prague 2012 - Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Education, department of Art, 81 pages This work is oriented as a theoretical study with research aim. It's focused on analysis of the phenomenon of Czech Grotesque and it's causality as a wide cultural - social problem. We use qualitative research methods and research design by The Grounded Theory, authors Strauss - Corbin. Main theme of this study is to investigate possibilities about didactic use of this topic in art education at grammar school. We reflect contemporary trends in art education in czech education curriculum - methods of constructivist pedagogy and discursive analysis. Important part of this work is research probe leading to find out student's pre- concepts about Czech grotesque. At the end, we construct resulting theory which is grounded on our previous research. Title: Specifics of first aid education at primary schools Summary This diploma thesis deals with issues of first aid education at primary schools. Motivation for working on this topic is described in the introductory part. Aims, which were set for this thesis, follow. The theoretical part pays attention firstly to educational documents and programmes which look into teaching and learning first aid at primary schools. It describes theoretical basis for first aid education in detail. This basis includes definition of the term first aid, differences between injuries and illnesses, emergency services, materials used for first aid, types of injuries (illnesses) and first aid related to them, bandage techniques and last but not least prevention. Didactic view of first aid education is a very important chapter of this part. It offers useful advice for creating an effective teaching and learning process both organizationally and methodically. It describes briefly important aspects of teaching and learning process such as aims, motivation, didactic principles, methods and forms of organization. The empirical part follows. The thesis analyzes the issue of training and development of employees in career management, which is an integral part of effective personnel management. The text focuses on a career orientation in terms of individual's personality, attention is paid to career personality type, career movement and individual's career development. An important and often essential aspect of every career is a continuous education and human development, which this thesis deal with in detail. This thesis describes educational and development activities, trends in a company education, career management scheme, its context and planning of employees training. A part of this thesis is empirical research connecting topics such as career, employees education and career development.

The essay is concerned with education in the first twenty years of the Meiji era. At first there is a short account on situation of the education and the main govermental proposals concerning it. The main part of the essay is dealing with the discussion among Meiji era intellectuals about the goals of the education and means to achieve them. Bacause of the importance of the western influence the essay concentrates on the intellectuls with western experience gathered in a group called Meirokusha.
Information Economics and its Potential in Education of Information Specialists

Thesis "Information economics and its potential in education of information specialists" aims to define the basic assumptions and concepts of this area of human knowledge, to analyze the state of the information economics teaching at universities in the Czech Republic. Moreover, selected topics that are currently being discussed in the professional community are presented. The work describes the information and communication technology, development of economics itself, asymmetry of information, electronic business and commerce, the role of information in the economy, organizational hierarchy problems in the context of information economics, information-technology paradigm and influence of information on society. This theoretical part is then transferred into an electronic learning course. This course can serve to educate information specialists. The work also includes a survey of the information economy teaching at universities in the Czech Republic and research on this subject at universities worldwide.
The knowledge of mothers in care about physiological newborn

Bachelor's essay "The knowledge of mothers in care about physiological newborn" is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part includes summary of relevant information about first care about newborn after birth and next daily care. It deals with the means of education of mothers on neonatal ward and the role of paeditrician and a paediatric nurse on giving information about taking care of newborn. The practical part of bachelor's essay contains quantitative research. Through a questionnaire there were found ways of self - education of mothers in taking care about newborn as well as the degree and ways of providing information by a health team on neonatal ward and in a surgery of practictal pediatrician. The questions of questionnaire are also focused on evaluation of education by mothers. The research was carried out during a preventive examination of children's hips in a health centre Zelený Pruh. For the analysis there were used 66 questionnaires in total.

The bachelor thesis called "Educational reproduction: Does the social position of parents influence their children's education?" aims at the influence of social status of parents on their children's education. It is divided into four main chapters which describe the educational reproduction from three perspectives - education, school system and family. At the beginning of each chapter, the key terms are explained. The first part called "Education" explains the meaning and development of this conception as well as the problem of educational inequalities. In the second part, the school system in the Czech Republic and the inequalities are discussed. The third part "Family" deals with social differences between families and describes how these differences influence behavior. The last part "Educational reproduction in the Czech society" presents two examples of researches made in the Czech Republic.
The Influence of the Internet on Education

This work concentrates on the changes that the Internet has caused in education since its invention to the present day and predicts possible future development of the Internet use in education. It focuses on the learning needs of people in the information society and the role of adult educators in bridging the digital divide. The work further deals with changes in several cognitive functions, which are directly related to education. Special attention is given to a new theory of networked learning, connectivism, and specific ways of learning on the internet. Personal learning environments, massive open online courses, open educational resources and the concept of school 2.0 are critically viewed. The well-known web applications and tools suitable for use in teaching are briefly introduced.
