Analysis of banking assets and liabilities of households in the Czech Republic
Rektorysová, Natália ; Teplý, Petr (advisor) ; Fučík, Vojtěch (referee)
Czech household, an important factor of the Czech banking sector, is considered to be a subject with a conservative approach in dealing with its financial funds. This bachelor thesis deals with a demonstrability of this status, acceleration of demands for loans and with analysis of banking assets and liabilities of households and their changes in time. The theoretical part describes key concepts and specifies basic framework needed for a further topic elaboration; it also specifies two key hypotheses: the first one is aimed at a household balance in time, the second one is focused on growth rate in relation to pensioners disposable income. The empiric part of the thesis is focused on loan development trends which represent household liabilities and deposits as household assets, accentuating the changes based on legislative steps, unexpected events on domestic market or world financial markets events. The end of the practical chapter summarises development tendencies and their substantiation. The conclusion summarises a contribution of the thesis, declares Czech household conservativism demonstrability and confirms the hypothesis of Czech household debt paradox.
Application of consumption function on CR
Poncar, Jaroslav ; Hušek, Roman (advisor) ; Formánek, Tomáš (referee)
Consumer function is a standard instrument of quantitative economic analysis to examine the relationship between consumer expenditure and income or other influencing factors such as liquid assets, interest rates or various demographic and social factors. In this thesis are presented the most frequently used methods in econometric analysis of consumption function. Attention is paid to the hypothesis of absolute income, relative income, life cycle, permanent income, rational expectations and consumption function based on the error correction model. Furthermore, the suitability of individual models for the current economic situation in the Czech Republic is assessed. Subsequently an empirical model of consumption function for the Czech Republic is designed and tested. Furthermore, the estimates of each consumption function model for the period before and after economic crisis of 2008-2009 are performed and compared. Finally, a short-term prediction of the consumption of Czech households is made.
Analysis of structural changes in household expenditures
Bespalova, Yana ; Procházková, Radka (advisor) ; Hlavsa, Tomáš (referee)
The present Bachelor Degree work deals with the analysis of structural changes in household expenditures in the Czech Republic in the years 1999 to 2014. The theoretical starting points define elementary terms linked with separate types of Czech household income, expenditures and the household consumption. The methodological part is characterized by time series, index analysis and characteristics of structural changes. The analysis proper deals with the statistical examination of the structure of expenditures in individual consumption according to the purpose of use and the follow-up estimate of the expenditures in the next period. The work also chooses the best suited models of the times series. The final part is focused on the comparison of the structure of average consumption expenditures of one individual member of household.
Social groups of households in the Czech Republic compared with other countries of the European Union
Havrila, Lukáš ; Zbranek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Musil, Petr (referee)
In this bachelor thesis I am deal with households and lay stress on variety of social groups in these households. The aim of bachelor thesis is to research and compare structure of individual social groups of households, their income and expenditure, too. In the theoretical part I describe mainly basic concepts, such as economic household, national accounting, EU-SILC, income and expenditure of households. In the practical part I am compare indicators between social groups within the Czech Republic or the European Union. Beneficial is examining the dependence of the average equivalised net household income per 1 person per year in the country surveyed by EU-SILC on the one hand. And spending on household final consumption calculated at 1 person per year surveyed by national accounts of each country on the other hand.
Analysis of households consumption in Czech Republic
Matějů, Tereza ; Kloudová, Dana (advisor) ; Babin, Jan (referee)
Abstract This Bachelor's thesis is focused on analysis of households consumption between 1995 -- 2013 and aim of this work is to expose relation between households consumption and gross domestic product. The Author uses database of Czech Statistical Office and reveals that households consumption is the most significant part of expenditures on final consumption and gross domestic product. Households consumption is also very stable part of gross domestic product and therefore households consumption shows small fluctuations during defined period. The amount of funds has mostly increasing progress.
The development of household consumption in the Czech Republic
Pěnička, Jan ; Pavelka, Tomáš (advisor) ; Rusmichová, Lada (referee)
This Bachelor thesis deals with the development of household consumption in the Czech Republic , especially in macroeconomic terms . The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to explore the evolution over time and assess the impact of growth / decline of wages to consumption. The theoretical part describes the brief development of theories of consumption and also explains the basic concepts related to the topic. The practical part is based on the information mentioned in the theoretical part. It focuses on the relationship between selected macroeconomic variables and household consumption. Keynesian consumption function for the current and real prices is derived using regression analysis. The hypothesis, which assumes that the change in the average wage leads to a change in consumption, was proved. The second hypothesis, which assumes a reduction in consumption due to an increase in unemployment, could not be confirmed. Household consumption has been reduced in all monitored EU countries due to economic crisis.
Ekonometrické modelování spotřební funkce v ČR a SR
Málková, Jana
The main aim of thesis is the econometric model suggestion of consumption function corresponding with contemporary economic conditions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The thesis is also focused on testing selected models of consumption function and assessing the suitability these models for contemporary conditions of real economic situation in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The close attention is concentrated on testing three major economic models of consumption function--the Theory of consumption (Keynes, 1936), the Life Cycle Hypothesis (Modigliani, 1986) and the Permanent Income Hypothesis (Friedman, 1957), where is made by econometric modeling of time series a comparison of real data with macroeconomic theories of consumption function.
The Development of Household Consumption in the Czech Republic in the Period 2002 - 2011
Rott, Michal ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Vebrová, Ludmila (referee)
The thesis is focused on evaluation of the household consumption development in the Czech Republic in the period 2002 -- 2011. The objective of this work is to delineate main factors of decision-making of households on savings and on consumption in the period of economic boom and in the period of economic crisis. It is pointed out that the key determinant of the decision-making were primarily expectations. This factor contributed to a rapid consumer credit growth in the period of economic boom. In the period of economic recession, a considerable worsening of expectations (unemployment, further fiscal policy decisions) led households to gradual precautionary savings despite the year-on-year decrease in growth of nominal disposable income. Moreover, since 2011, the nominal disposable income declined. This analysis also shows that the factor of expectations influenced household behaviour more than the factor of banks' interest rate policy. This fact was notably evident in the recession when commercial banks responded to the change in rates of the Czech National Bank by lowering their consumer credit interest rates in a lesser extent. However, in this uncertain period of prudent stance of both banks and households, the consumer credit growth slowed down, moreover, it decreased in 2011. This piece of knowledge about this important role of expectations in the period of a great uncertainty that results in building up precautionary savings is indicated also by research papers from abroad.
