Physiotherapy procedures in patients after disc surgery in lumbar spine

This thesis focuses on problems of physiotherapy procedures after a surgery of intervertebral disc in the meaning of intensity, timing and therapeutic procedures. In the general part it gives comprehensive overview about functional anatomy, kinesiologi, biomechanics of the spine and about the function of intervertebral disk. It also deals with methods of investigation and surgical interventions. In the special part, the thesis focuses on the most appropriate choice of timing, intesity and mainly on special methods which are the most commonly used in patients after surgery of intervertebral disc. It gives the basic charakteristics of each special methods in relation to patients after surgery of intervertebral disc. The practical part of this thesis includes patient case report after surgery of intervertebral disc which describes the examination before neurosurgical intervention, surgery, hospitalization and outpatient rehabilitation.

In my bachelor thesis I have focused on discopathy and its effects on postural system of individuals. I concentrate on changes of intervertebral disc in lumbar part of the spine, as they are the most common. From physiotherapist point of view, I consider this issue essential for subsequent adequate and succesful therapy. Patients suffering from chronic low back pain present significant socio- economical problem. It is one of the most common problems, mainly because of lifestyle and absence of motional activity. 1 Title of bachelor thesis: The incidence of vertebral problems, for doctors, nurses, caregivers and technicians, design of physiotherapy intervention a subjective approach to working with a physical therapist Abstract: Bachelor thesis devoted to the topic of vertebrogenic difficulties with health staff, specifically with the group of doctors, nurses, caregivers and laboratory technicians, and closer to exploring their subjective approach to the cooperation with a physiotherapist. The theoretical part is focused on description of the anatomy and kinesiology of the axial body, also on biomechanics and disc plate. A separate chapter consists of the deep stabilization system and the next chapter focuses on the issue of vertebrogenic difficulties and their treatment. The first part of the practical part consists of research in the form of a questionnaire survey, which points to the frequency of occurrence of back pain in health personnel. Selected twelve of the respondents from each group of doctors, nurses, caregivers and laboratory technician. Compared are as individual respondents, or groups between themselves. The second part contains three case reports of patients with back pain.
