Vliv vitamínů rozpustných v tucích na reprodukci mléčného skotu
Jandová, Romana
Abstract Fertility is an important factor in dairy cattle breeding. Temperature stress, lack of food, insufficient amount of vitamins and minerals in the ration or diseases can have a negative effect on it. As stated in this work, fertility is mainly influenced by the content of fat-soluble vitamins, especially vitamin E. Many authors describe its beneficial effect on spermatogenesis in males, while in females it helps maintain the fetus or ensures a suitable environment in the uterus. Vitamin E deficiency causes delayed sexual maturity and low libido of bulls. In females, keratinization of the epithelium or absorption of a non-prosperous fetus. I work as an insemination technician. In my work, I described the influence of fat-soluble vitamins on fertility. At the same, in the chapter "Personal experience" I described the effect of the addition of a preparation with protected fats and the addition of a vitamin supplement on the fertility of dairy cows. From the results of my monitoring, it follows that these preparations had a beneficial effect on fertility. Thanks to the protected fats, there was also a better absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E) and thus a lower incidence of cysts and a higher percentage of pregnant cows after insemination.
Analýza reprodukčních ukazatelů plemene limousine ve vybraném chovu
Neubauerová, Ester
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate the reproductive indicators of the limousine breed in the selected breeding. For this purpose, monitoring and data collection was carried out in the period of 2021 and 2022. Subsequently, an analysis of selected reproductive indicators was carried out, which mainly included the percentage of conception (%), gross and net birth natality (%). Using the results, it was possible to evaluate the fertilization ability of breeding bulls that were used as part of natural breeding in breeding. In each year, all cows were divided into 3 herds and a breeding bull was then placed in each herd. As part of the monitoring, a lower percentage of pregnancy on average was found in a specific breeding for all monitored cows, namely in 2021 and 2022 (77.8% and 55.3%). This lower conception rate also resulted in a lower percentage of gross and net birth natality (74.1% and 51.8%). However, when looking at specific herds, significant differences can be seen with regard to the breeding bull used. As for the gender representation of calves born, in both years bulls prevailed over heifers.
Midwife and Reproductive Health
KUBIŠOVÁ, Kristýna
The bachelor thesis focuses on reproductive health with the coherence of midwife's work. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with the definition of reproductive health, the physiology of human reproduction, the menstrual cycle, and the need for sex and reproductive education. Furthermore, the function of the public health service system is explained as well as the prevention as part of primary care in the Czech Republic. The midwife's doing is clarified along with her competence and her meaning in the prevention topic. The factors which influence reproductive health such as age, diet, recreational drug use, stress, etc. Are described in detail. The bachelor thesis also centers on family planning, a healthy conception, and types of contraceptive methods of birth control and some information about infertility is mentioned as well. The practical part aimed to discover upper-secondary and tertiary education students' opinions about reproductive health. Further, two hypotheses were determined, which were formulated as follows. Hypothesis n. 1: The tertiary students perceive the need for reproductive health education from a midwife more than upper-secondary students. Hypothesis n. 2: Women perceive the need for reproductive health education more than men. Qualitative data collection was chosen on which the questionnaire was based. The questionnaire contained 41 questions (31 closed, 8 mid-closed, and 2 open ones). It was spread in online form through Google Forms application. The research aggregate consisted of 210 respondents from upper-secondary education students (3rd and 4th years) and tertiary students from various occupations. The research sample was composed of students between the age of 17 to 27 from numerous regions of the Czech Republic. Fisher exact test was used for data analyses of the formulated hypotesis. The level of significance was stated as follows alpha = 5 % (0.05). H1 was not confirmed. It was proven that interest in reproductive health education is not dependent on students´ education; either upper secondary or tercially education degree. Also, it was not confirmed that the reproductive health education is required to be performed by midwife. H2 was confirmed. Based on the analysis was proven that women require reproductive health education to be performed by midwife more than men. According to 87 % (182) respondents of our survey the reproductive health education should be included in upper-secondary and tertiary education but 5 % (11) of respondents would not include it at all and 8 % (17) was not sure. The survey has shown that the ideal learner should be an externally educated person in reproductive health. This person would suit 78.5 % (124) of respondents, 8.2 % (13) of students would like to have a doctor for education in this topic. However, 6,3 % (9) of students would like to have teacher from their school and only for 5.1 % (9) of students the midwife would be suitable. The rest of the students, 1.9 % (3) would like to have somebody else. The Bachelor thesis and the survey could be used for purpose of educational plans and materials in topic of reproductive health education for students.
Českomoravský belgický kůň a jeho využití v minulosti a současnosti
Bartoš, Michal
The bachelor thesis describes the history and breeding of the Czech-Moravian Belgian horse breed. Its development, current rearing and areas of its use. This breed is also referred to as the Belgian horse, or the Belgian draft horse is the most common breed of cold-blooded horses. Part of the bachelor thesis is an analysis of the frequency of use of stallions in insemination. Stallions in Tlumačov and Písek stud farms were monitored. Data collection took place in the case of Tlumačov between 2009 and 2020. Data for the years 2012 to 2019 were collected in the Písek. The percentage of conception of these stallions was evaluated. There were 11 stallions working in the stud farm in Písek, with which a total of 176 mares were inseminated. The average conception in this stud farm is 58.86 %. There were 9 stallions in Tlumačov, with which 200 mares were inseminated, with an average conception value of 68.90 %

Přibyláková, Martina ; Brož, Luděk (advisor) ; Sokolová, Věra (referee) ; Hrešanová, Ema (referee)
How is the experience of pregnancy in a patriarchal society shaped by pregnant women's socioeconomic status? So far, qualitative studies have primarily focused on the effect of socioeconomic status in healthcare, and unintended conception in poor adolescents. Based on a 17-month comparative ethnography conducted in Lima, the hyper-stratified capital of Peru, this dissertation addresses experiences of women of different socioeconomic dispositions including conception, abortion, and (inter)personal lived pregnancy experience. The dissertation employs the concept of reproductive habitus to reflect on the differing classed and gendered dispositions in women of different socioeconomic statuses as an embodiment of institutions: the institution of patriarchy and healthcare institutions. The dissertation identifies status-related reproductive dispositions/differences in forming pregnancy experience in four areas: (i) in women's conception circumstances primarily in terms of pregnancy (non)intentionality, women's childbearing age span, relationship status (integrity), and male partner (non)abandonment (desertion). Socioeconomically differing conception circumstances produce psycho-physiologically different human subjects. (ii) Women's reproductive habitus is expressed in women's possibilities of safe...

Mudruňková, Kateřina ; Zemánek, Marek (advisor) ; Löwensteinová, Miriam (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to present tchämong, a specific Korean dream of conception, that if properly interpretated can provide some information pertaining to the conception and other qualities of the unborn child to the dreamer. This thesis contextualizes tchämong into a broader category of dreams of conception, and then focuses on its specific features in Korea's culture. The fundamental aim of this paper is to exemplify the claim that tchämong is embedded in the system of traditional beliefs, practices and myths, which act as a main factor in continuing this tradition into modern times.
