Hinková, Lenka ; Novotný, Josef (advisor) ; Ženka, Jan (referee)
The main theme of this master's thesis is an effort to explain the integration of transnational corporations from developing countries into the economic globalization. Firstly, we define the main concepts, such as process of globalization and competition. Then, we specify the most important characteristics of transnational corporations from developing countries, we identify major incentives and strategies of their integration into the global competition, we also devote our attention to measurement of degree of their integration into the global economy and evaluate their main competitive advantages and disadvantages. In the analytical part of the work we use quantitative analysis in order to find the differences between transnational corporations from developing countries and their counterparts from developed countries in the transnationality index, diversification of industry and industrial sector in which these companies operate. The last part is focused on a case study of an Indian transnational conglomerate Tata Group. On this example we show the practical aspects of integration of transnational corporations from developing countries into the global economy.

Peták, Šimon ; Černá, Stanislava (advisor) ; Patěk, Daniel (referee) ; Kindl, Jiří (referee)
This paper analyzes regulation of abuse of dominant position under the law of the European Union and under the Czech law. Both the European and Czech competition laws are not only very similar, as the Czech Act on Protection of Competition is inspired by the European competition law, but after the so called modernization of the European competition law, including the decentralization of its enforcement, the Czech authorities are entitled (and obliged at the same time) to apply the European competition law. Given the special relation between the two legal orders, this paper does not attempt to compare the two, but rather to analyze them it their mutual relation, which is the basic view for the submitted analysis. Firstly, a basic introduction to the problems of competition economics is presented, including characteristics of the basic functions and principles thereof. An explanation of the economic background and different models of competition follows, particularly of those important for understanding the specifics of dominant undertakings' behaviour and motivation. Models of monopoly, oligopoly and monopolistic competition are briefly described in opposition to the model of perfect competition and also some other important approaches to this issue are addressed, including the basic views of the...

Peřinka, Filip ; Honsová, Šárka (advisor) ; Chytráčková, Jitka (referee)
and key words The definition of problematicity: According to the date of birth, the whole population expresses their age numerically, sometimes known as the calendar or chronological year. Nevertheless, from the biological point of view, this statement can be misrepresented in the meaning. The real and precise age, here we mean the biological age, can be different. The Aim: The aim of my batchelor thesis is to consider and evaluate the populational biological age of children doing karate, ranging from 10-15 years. We want to find out whether the biological age has any impact on karate competitions' results. The methods: There is a group of individuals, including boys and girls, who accomplish the criteria for the evaluation. One of them is the approximate achievement of the same technical level of the karateist and the minimal two years competition's attendance. According to Brauer, the biological determination of the year will not only be carried out by the proportional method (in Riegerová, Přidalová, Ulbrichová, 2006; Riegerová, Sedlak, 1996; Riegerová, 1984) but also by the help of orientational growing age of children. Next, we compare the calendar and biological age and evaluate them. All results gained from the survey, will be compared with the anthropological research of Czech population,...

Mixová, Kristýna ; Holeček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Uhl, Michal (referee)
Bachelor thesis is trying to concrete the pressure to have slim and shaped body which is present in public places. Theoretical sources of the text are terms of Elias Canetti - order and judgement, and terms of Theodor W. Adorno - standardization and competition. The text is trying to answer, how the character of these terms looks like in the context of the pressure to have slim and shaped body. The methodology is qualitative research based on fieldnotes from walking through the city. The main findings of the text are that the main characteristic of order in context of social pressure to have slim and shaped body is unambiguity and the fact that the order instructs the way. For judgement is typical the evaluation and dividing people into two group based on their size Competition is present in competing in slimming, in competiting of beauty and in the advantages of helping to make the slim and shaped body easier. In standardization there is important the change in appearance of human body and the information that other people are involved in having a slim and shaped body

Biology, ecology and invasion characteristics of Campylopus introflexus in the Czech Republic
Mikulášková, Eva ; Soldán, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Tribsch, Andreas (referee) ; Kučera, Jan (referee)
A B S T R A C T Ecological and economic impact of invasive plants to natural ecosystems is the subject of many studies; however, invasive bryophytes have been stud- ied only marginally. Campylopus introflexus (Hedw.) Brid. is one of the most strongly invasive bryophyte species in Europe. The species appears to be native in the Southern Hemisphere. In Europe, it was collected for the first time in the British Isles in 1941. The moss has expanded eastward and the first collection in the Czech Republic is dated to 1988. This thesis found that more than 70 localities were known known in the Czech Republic in 2006, and more than 100 localities became known by 2011. It has been further demonstrated that the Czech Republic was colonized repeatedly by generative spores and all populations have a unique genetic composition. Genetic variation of the populations is low, the genetic diver- sity of populations within the Czech Republic is not correlated with their geographic position or with any of the monitored environmental variables. At a fine scale within particular localities, the species disperses by vege- tative diaspores, while it uses generative spores for spreading over longer distances. In Central Europe, C. introflexus prefers open coniferous forests, especially plantations of either spruce or pine. It colonizes...
