RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AND SOCIAL CHANGES INCHRISTIAN COMMUNICATION IN INDEPENDENTKAZAKHSTAN

1950s may be classified as one of the worst periods in Czechoslovakia's history. The totalitarian communist regime in the period between 1948 and 1953 is called the Stalinism. The primary objective hereof was to evaluate teaching about the Stalinism period in Czechoslovakia in secondary schools, in particular, to assess the scope of correctness and completeness of the related curriculum and teaching methods. The secondary objective hereof was to introduce and describe the Stalinism as a typical example of totalitarianism and to define crucial elements of this non-democratic form of government using the example of Czechoslovakia from 1948 to 1953. The thesis proceeds from the theoretical part via a case study to the practical part. The first part classifies totalitarianism, defines its historical outset and determines its main features. The second chapter describes and explains the Stalinism, which is a typical example of totalitarianism having functioned in practice in the Soviet Union from where it spread to the majority of the Communist countries, including Czechoslovakia. The third chapter explains the practical application of the Stalinism elements and methods used to control a society according to the Soviet model using the example of Czechoslovakia from 1948 to 1953. 153 ABSTRACT This doctoral dissertation conducted research on religious education and social change in Christian communication using the example of transnational and multi-faith countries, in particular Kazakhstan. The work used basic principles and methods to present the historical and cultural state of contemporary Kazakhstan and its religious sphere of life. The relevance of the problem is connected primarily with the historical and social changes that occurred after the collapse of the Soviet Union, when the Republic of Kazakhstan achieved independence and assumed the role of a democratic and secular state. In this context, it is important to pay attention to the role of Christian religion in these changes. Every state faces problems that require active participation in solving them. In Kazakhstan, an important issue is the regulation of religious organisations. One of the key points is the importance of religious education in the formation of new social relations and the maintenance of democratic values. New forms of Christian communication are emerging and are being adapted to modern society. However, it should be taken into account that in the religious sphere there are also problems related to the rejection by some groups of society of certain religious beliefs, as well as problems of extremism and...
Proměny členské základny Českobratrské církve evangelické v 21. století a její příčiny
HAVLENA, Filip
The work focuses on secularization in the 21st century. In particular, it will focus on the Czech Brethren Evangelical Church, where the decline of believers in recent years has been particularly pro-apparent. The aim of the thesis will be to analyse the transformation of the Evangelical Church in the 21st century. The hypothesis of the thesis will be that the younger the generation, the more secular it is, using statistical data. Gender in the secularization process will also be an issue. The basic method of the thesis will be textual analysis of sources. Where the secondary literature is for a general orientation of the issue, but also the press and the website of the church under analysis, if there are not enough texts in these sources dedicated to content analysis, there will be qualitative research - interviews with several church members, who will be given pseudonyms. The introductory part will focus specifically on secularization as such, and on its historical context, as well as on the social transformation that secularization has brought about.
Early medieval sacral architecture in the Písek region- revision and analysis
NOVODVORSKÝ, Petr
Písecko is one of the South Bohemian regions where considerable building activity was carried out in the early Middle Ages. At that time, the efforts to colonise the uninhabited and vast forested landscape gave rise to several important cultural centres. The oldest of these emerged at the end of the 12th century in Milevsko. The influential Grand Duke George founded a monastery here, which he filled with a convent of the Premonstratensian Order. There was a workshop at the monastery, which influenced the construction activity of the surrounding area. As a result, a number of rural churches were built in the landscape, the morphology of which is often indicative of the participation of the workshop. Around the middle of the 13th century, another important cultural centre appeared in southern Bohemia, connected with the spread of monarchical power and the founding activities of King Přemysl Otakar II. The founding of the town of Písek and the major expansion of Zvíkov Castle required the construction of another South Bohemian building workshop, referred to in literature as the Písek-Zvíkov workshop. Its influence also reached the area around Milevsko, where the churches analysed and mapped in this thesis are located in the form of a catalogue. It will also include a review of the issue of the so-called Písek-Zvíkov workshop as it was formulated in Czech research more than forty years ago. On the basis of building-historical research and formal analysis of the buildings, the question of the influence of the building workshops should be clarified and an attempt should be made to place the South Bohemian buildings in a corresponding Central European context.
The Council of Chalcedon and its position in the history of Christology
Blahová, Andrea ; Ventura, Václav (advisor) ; Milko, Pavel (referee)
This diploma thesis will deal with one of the most important church councils in antiquity, which significantly influenced the further development of Christianity and whose conclusions became, among other things, the immediate cause of the First Great Schism of the church. Its starting point will be the existing contradictory situation in Christian theology after the Council of Ephesus, the course and results of which I discussed in detail in my bachelor's thesis entitled Christianity and the Church in the 5th century AD from the perspective of the Council of Ephesus. In this context, the work evaluates the causes and circumstances of the convening of the Council of Chalcedon, maps its course and analyzes the specific conclusions that this, in many ways groundbreaking, church council has reached. Due to the fact that Christological issues have become one of the central themes of this 4th Ecumenical Council, attention will also be paid to this branch of Christian theology and the position which the Council of Chalcedon occupies in its history.
Architectural study of the sacred building and the Salesian community center in Brno - Líšeň
Radchenko, Mark ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The task of the diploma thesis is the design of the sacral building of Salesians and community center in Brno – Líšeň. The founder of the Salesian order is the Italian priest John Bosco. The Salesian style stands on three pillars: reason, religion and kindness. It is a style of educational work, based on a preventive system and constant assistance. The Salesian congregation and subsequently the entire complex of the center in the urban district Brno-Líšeň received help from the foundation fund for youth, which he started in 1998 its construction. The proposed facility should cover the remaining needs of visitors and should be accessible to the general public. As a result, an architectural design was created, which includes an object of church with a parish section and a community center. The sacral object has a monumental appearance and its shape consists of a dominant cube standing on a monumental and long base, thus fitting into the contemporary surroundings and reacting to its overall structure. The composition is completed by a high concrete belfry. The entire complex consists of two masses connected by a covered colonnade. The first main mass includes a church with a rectory. The church can accommodate almost three hundred visitors. The parsonage serves as accommodation for the parish priest and other members of the congregation, and has access to the parish atrium. The second part of the complex is the community center with the main space of the multifunctional hall and administration.
