The Use of Statement Analysis in Qualitative Research

This diploma thesis concentrates on the use of Q method in the processing of qualitative student feedback and case studies. It deals with three research questions. How does the statement analysis simplify work with qualitative data? How is the statement analysis suitable for work with qualitative student feedback? How is the statement analysis suitable for work with case studies? In the diploma thesis I find out that using of the statement analysis for qualitative student feedback and for case studies greatly simplifies work with qualitative data and makes it more uncluttered.
Testing of identity management systems

This diploma thesis is focused on the testing of identity management systems. Its main objective is to describe the issue of testing identity management systems and support methodological testing of these systems by defining the approach to testing based on the case study. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the identity management in the organization and the significance of its introduction. It also describes identity management systems that serve to systematically support it through technical means. In the practical part of the thesis, a case study on the implementation of an identity management system in the organization has been carried out. Specific features of identity management systems are identified, with which the approach to testing is designed for the identity management system in the case study. The proposed approach is subsequently verified using the pilot project.
Global Terrorism and New Media: The Case Study of the Islamic State

The diploma thesis Global Terrorism and New Media: The Case Study of the Islamic State examines the use of modern means of communication and technologies by global terrorists on the case of the terrorist organization Islamic State. The main hypothesis of this study is the claim that the Islamic State is using a very sophisticated communication strategy that, in combination with new technologies, allows its global scope. Through its propaganda methods, it tries not only to manipulate the audience and attract potential followers, but also demoralize and intimidate its enemies. The combination of two qualitative research methods, the case study and thematic analysis, enabled a more detailed examination of the Islamic State communication strategy and its propaganda messages in a selected data sample.
Using the online marketing tools of the selected business (case study)

In the theoretical part are described various tools of digital marketing and their specifics. Furthermore, the work provides the necessary expertise to compile a situational analysis and marketing plan. The theoretical part follows the empirical part, which tries to meaningfully interconnect the acquired theoretical knowledge in the context of exploring small business marketing activities. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out whether and to what extent it is important for small entrepreneurs to use digital marketing tools. Furthermore, the aim of the thesis is to obtain realistically useful outputs for the company being investigated. These are situational analyses; A case study on the use of digital marketing tools along with a set of recommendations for improvement; A plan for a specific marketing campaign.
The Use of Facebook by the Czech Municipalities

This diploma thesis discusses the evaluation of the extent and way of using the social network called Facebook by the municipalities of the Central Bohemia Region, participating in the local Agenda 21. The subjects of the research are official Facebook pages of the municipalities on the mentioned social network. Emphasis is placed on revealing the relationships between the characteristics of individual municipalities and their activity, or the way of using Facebook. The theoretical part of the thesis provides definitions of the basic terms and the theoretical background. The research questions are formulated in the Methodology chapter. They are answered in the research section of this thesis by using combination of research methods. Official Facebook pages were created by four municipalities (until the 1 January 2016) from total number of twelve municipalities and small municipalities, participating in the local Agenda 21 in the Central Bohemian Region. According to the results of the econometric analysis, the higher the unemployment rate in these municipalities, the more likely it is that the municipality has an official Facebook page.
Didactic analysis of the topic of international marketing and brands

This bachelor thesis deals with marketing education at secondary economically oriented schools, specifically with the topic of international marketing and brands. The first part of the thesis contains the importance and inclusion of the curriculum in the study programs. Another theoretically focused part deals with didactic aspects and means used to teach the above-mentioned topics. Because the aim of the work is creating a case study linking the two topics mentioned above, this method is discussed in chapter three and the proposal of case studies of specific IKEA brand, including the solutions and methodological guidelines for the contracting authority, is elaborated in the last fifth chapter. The fourth chapter deals with the factual analysis of the subject, including the evaluation of textbooks used for teaching subjects in marketing at secondary schools.

Rapid digitization of enterprise processes and software applications simplifying daily-life routines enhance the need for software arrangements. Based on this growing trend, the underlying thesis discusses revenue recognition for software arrangements under US GAAP, the lingua franca of financial reporting framework in software industry. The thesis examines the first industry-specific guidance - SOP 97-2, its successor ASC 605 and aims at capturing the main implications resulting from the new converged US GAAP/ IFRS revenue recognition standard ASC 606/ IFRS 15 on a case study. The five-step revenue recognition model introduced by ASC 606 is applied to the US-based technology and software seller Apple Inc. and its wide range of product portfolio including software.

Embankment of Prague, like a public place (space)

This diploma thesis is devoted to the topic of riverside docks in Prague. Riverside dock is a coastal area, which is on a lower level than an embankment. Previously used as docks for cargo and passenger ships and storage of sand. Nowadays they fulfill mainly recreational and socio-cultural function. The case study is focused on one of Prague's riverside docks, the riverside dock on Rašínovo nabrezi. In this thesis, I will focus on the description and explanation of the use of the riverside dock on Rašínovo nábřeží. Concentrating on its practical operation, conflicts of interests of individual participants and the impact on the environment and on the direct surroundings.
Case study of inclusion children with special educational needs in preschool

This bachelor thesis deals with inclusive education of disabled children in preliminary facilities. This process is hereby examined as a perspective of stakeholders of inclusive education. The main aim of the thesis is to clarify an attitude and opinion towards to inclusive policies of particular stakeholders and what are their chief interests and values. Meanwhile, together with respondents' statements it provides a view on the ways of how the inclusive politics is implementated. The first part elaborates mainly the theory of inclusive education, history of juristical changes and contemporary valid juristical adjustments of education for children with special needs, as well as a concept of actors of public policy together with the its implementation focused on teachers as street level bureaucracy. The core of the second part is an inclusive politics stakeholder analysis and their statements withdrawn from qualitative interviews using a case study design. The results of analysis summarize approaches, opinions, interests and values of a headmistress and teachers of a particular pre-school, as well as of teachers' assistents, parents and a pre-school founder.
