Architecture in Japan - influences, contrasts, paralels
Strnadel, František ; Přibyl, Ondřej (referee) ; Ondrík, Jozef (advisor)
Planet T, as the name suggests, is a certain fictional and imaginary city or planet. The name is derived from the capital city of Japan - Tokyo. The work is on the border of a documentary photo from existing places to create a non-existent science fiction scene. Just as many other cities in the world are characteristic in some particular way, Tokyo is a city that clearly encourages this sci-fi vision of the city of the future. In the course of creation, the work also became, among other things, a study on the border between ethnographic description and autoethnographic reflection of Tokyo. It took the form of a personal diary, where I wrote both everyday experiences and architectural notes, as well as notes from observations of Japanese people and their customs.
Building design optimization
Mikel, Jakub ; Doležalová, Monika (referee) ; Klika, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of optimizing the design of the building and the effect of this optimization on the realization price of the building. Part of this work then is the creation of a practical overview of the principles of the concept, divided into basic categories, so that it is possible to use these principles for the building as a whole, but for a specific part of it. Part of the work is then a comparison of the standard concept with the proposed solution and their resulting price comparison of the realization prices.
Blender Add-on for Procedural Bridge Generation
Kučerová, Alžběta ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the draft and implementation of a Blender add-on, which would simplify the process of modeling three-dimensional models of bridges while implementing a procedural approach. In contrast to already existing solutions, this implementation enables creation of multiple construction types. It also assembles select parts of the bridge either out of user’s own objects or models provided by the add-on itself. Procedural creation of geometry is implemented using Geometry Nodes as it provides many benefits over traditional methods of modeling. The final product was published and is available for free use.
Art Nouveau art in children's free time
Lachnit, Ondřej ; Hanková, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Blažková, Veronika (referee)
The bachelor's thesis focuses on Art Nouveau art in leisure time. In the first, theoretical part, I focus on defining the concepts of free time, the functions of free time, and the introductory characteristics of Art Nouveau, where I mainly deal with decorative elements such as stucco, painting and sculpture decoration, stained glass, metal elements, and lighting. The practical part is devoted to a project that I created for leisure-time educators and art teachers. Based on the created project, I discussed with art teachers and workshop instructors about the project and supplemented my bachelor thesis with their outputs. The project concept is divided into four blocks that are interconnected and intended for second-grade students. In the first block, I focus on searching for Art Nouveau symbols during a walk around the architecture in Prague. The second block is devoted to discovering Art Nouveau jewelry and its creation. The third block focuses on architecture and the creation of a model. The last, fourth block is devoted to the theme of the vernissage and its preparation, as well as an overall reflection on all the blocks.
New synagogue Jablonec nad Nisou
Janáková, Adéla ; Baranyai, René (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the design of the new synagogue in Jablonec nad Nisou on Lipanská Street. In the past, there used to be a synagogue for more than 280 believers that was located in the area which is being considered. The synagogue was burned down by Nazi Germany in 1938, during Kristallnacht. Today, it is a public space, public parking and a memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. The goal of the design is to create a new synagogue, the primary location of the Jewish community including the administration with the rabbinate, a community center, a study room and a library of Jewish literature, multi-purpose spaces, a kosher restaurant for community members and the general public, a kosher food store, a museum of Jewish culture and a mikveh ritual bath. The objects will be used for members of the Jewish community and at the same time for the education of the general public and academics. The construction of the building complex is located in an area with relatively challenging terrain. The key moment was dealing with the setting of the building on a steep slope and at the same time designing the correct operation of the individual buildings. The location of the kosher restaurant attracts the public from the adjacent Lipanská street, and at the same time it is also located in the quiet part towards the south. Its sales area is two-storey, so it also extends to the level of the lower floor open to the river. There is a quiet zone between the restaurant and museum buildings - summer outdoor seating, or museum exhibition. The museum is also situated along the adjacent street, where the main entrance to the building is located. The facade of the museum is characterized by an alternation of convex and arched windows towards the inside, which open into the elevated exhibition hall. Objects should radiate minimalism and purity. Therefore, light shades of colors were chosen. In the upper part, the facades are covered with white stucco plaster. In the part of the ground floor, a motif of flutes pointing vertically towards the sky was designed using shaped plaster in a shade of light gray.

It is located in a quiet area close to VIA University. The functional content of the building is housing. In the design, I try to respond to the surrounding situation and adapt the building to it functionally and operationally. The aim was to meet all the requirements of the operation and to add new value to a dilapidated building.
VUT Technology Transfer Center
Walková, Michaela ; Bílek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis is based on the subject AG035, in which a study on the topic of the VUT TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER CENTER was carried out. In this thesis, the already mentioned study is expanded to include documentation of DSP and DPS. The proposed new construction is located in Brno in the Královo Pole district adjacent to Technická and Kolejní streets and is situated within the Pod Paláckého Vrchem campus of BUT. Concerned area is surrounded by a garden settlement on the north-west side, and other surrounding housing development consists of the structures of the aforementioned campus. The assignment was to create a center in which flexible rentable production cells and laboratories would be located. The “shell and core” principle is recommended, i.e. equipping structures with a basic service core, while additional equipment should be easily replenishable according to the needs of the particular user. It will be a testing and verification center that would be funded by the EU resources. Administration part is also on the premises. With its mass, the building resembles the letter U, which creates a yard for supplying individual cells. The supporting system is a ferroconcrete skeletal system and the building is covered with a flat vegetated roof over the administration and a flat roof with installed solar panels over the production cells. The proposed buildings seem fully integral, but at the same time it is still notionally divided into individual functional units.

Selected monuments of the Late Gothic sacral architecture in South Moravia in arthistorical context
MALÍKOVÁ, Tereza
The diploma thesis entitled Selected Monuments of Late Gothic Sacred Architecture of South Moravia in Art Historical Context is based on the author's bachelor thesis. It deals with the history, architecture and context of the late Ghotic pilgrime church of St. Wolfgang in Hnanice near Znojmo. The thesis tries to place the Hnanice church in the context of other stylistically similar church buildings in South Moravia and Lower Austria. It gives three examples of possible analogies from the Moravian Danube and another three examples from the Austrian Danube. The bulidings are described and further compared. The thesis also tries to answer the question of where influences may have flowed and what all may have influenced on the emergence and rising of sacral architecture of the late Gothic period.
