Zhodnocení významu škod zvěří na vinicích v okolí obce Limbach
Hlavatovič, Ondrej
This bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of the importance of wildlife damage in vineyards. The vineyards on which the field investigations were carried out are located in the vicinity of the village of Limbach, located in the Pezinok district. The actual damage assessment was carried out using the walking method on three areas of interest using bite plots located at the beginning, middle and end of the vineyard. Subsequently, the economic impact of the damage on the individual areas of interest was quantified. The work also included monitoring of the intensity of vineyard use by wildlife, which was carried out using photo traps placed at the points of arrival of wildlife in the vineyard.
Hlodavci jako škůdci na zemědělské produkci
Vargová, Michaela
The thesis critically evaluates the existing knowledge on the importance of rodents as an important pests of agricultural crops. The main part of this thesis, i.e. the literature review, focuses on a brief description of the damage caused by rodents in the global context, and subsequently in the Czech Republic. The thesis focuses on the possible causes of this damage. Furthermore, the thesis mentions rodent species and their distribution according to food consumption, followed by a description of economic and sanitary damage. The thesis also mentions preventive measures against rodents, monitoring, methods of damage control and their economic impact. The thesis concludes by mentioning possible gaps in knowledge of the impact of annual crops on damage levels and potential alternative options for rodent damage control.
Vliv sucha na rostlinnou produkci v kraji Vysočina
Čižmariková, Žaneta
The Vysočina region is not a homogeneous whole in terms of soil quality and climate. A European watershed runs across the Vysočina region, which divides the climate in the Czech Republic into maritime and continental. The total annual precipitation in the Vysočina region in the years 1961-1990 averaged 640 mm, while in the monitored years (2011-2014-2015-2016-2018) it decreased by 62 to 121 mm. The average annual temperature in the Vysočina region, which has been 0.4 oC lower for a long time compared to the rest of the Czech Republic, increased by 1.1 to 2.2 oC in the same period (long-term average 7.1 oC). Yields of monitored crops in the Vysočina region and the rest of the Czech Republic changed irregularly (up to 10%) during the year and year-on-year under the influence of several biotic and abiotic factors. Lack of water (drought) is and will be a bigger problem for the Vysočina region (in agriculture and forestry) than the average increase in annual air temperatures in recent years. Reducing the effects of drought requires a complex of measures with an emphasis on maintaining water in the landscape, ie on agricultural and forest land, and the need to care for its fertility in several directions.
Traditional plant breeding, advanced biotechnological engineering with emphasis on GM crops and environmental risk assessment of GMs
KOPICOVÁ, Klára
While searching for the best approach that would ensure an adequate supplement of the current still growing world population, the national governments support different strategies to multiply crop production and to stabilize profits. It is obvious that traditional plant breeding techniques are not capable to meet this challenge. Hence, scientists developed an advanced plant breeding techniques that cope with the adversity of the environment (e. g. pest and weed pressure, drought, salinity) as well as satisfy major needs of human society (e. g. sufficient yields, nutrient content). However, advanced bioengineering arouses distrust in consumers. This review compares both, the advanced plant breeding techniques with traditional breeding approaches; and the debate is further extended by critical assessment. Further focusing on genetic modifications (GMs) and genetically modified (GM) crops, this study describes a status of their growing on the example of two completely different strategies - strategy of the United States (U.S.) and the European Union (EU). Additionally, this thesis suggests a new design for testing of GM crops environmental risk assessment (ERA) - more precisely, a very little explored, potential transfer of GM gene constructs into invertebrates.
Classification of selected agricultural crops from time series of Sentinel-2 and PlanetScope imagery in Kutnohorsko model area
Kuthan, Tomáš ; Kupková, Lucie (advisor) ; Potůčková, Markéta (referee)
Classification of selected agricultural crops from time series of Sentinel-2 and PlanetScope imagery in Kutnohorsko model area Abstract The thesis is focused on the analysis of spectral characteristics of selected agricultural crops druring agriculutural season from time series of Sentinel -2 (A and B) and PlanetScope sensors in the model area situated around the settlements of Kolín and Kutná Hora. It is based on the assumption that the use of multiple dates of image data acquired crops in different phenological phases of the crops allows better identification of crop species (Lu et al., 2004). The aim of the thesis was to analyse the characteristics of the seasonal course of spectral features of selected agricultural crops (sugar beet, spring barley, winter barley, maize, spring wheat, winter wheat, winter rape) and to determine the period of the year suitable for the differentiation of individual crops. Another aim of the thesis was to classify these crops in the model area from time series of two above-mentioned sensors and to compare the accuracy of the pixel and object-oriented classification approach for multitemporal composites and the accuracy for monotemporal image from the term when the individual crops are clearly distinguishable. The training and validation datasets and the classification mask...

Quantitative analysis of biophysical parameters of crops using multispectral data Copernicus
Mišurec, J. ; Lukeš, Petr ; Tomíček, J. ; Klem, Karel ; Jakešová, L.
The development of a methodology for retrieval of biophysical parameters using multispectral satellite data Sentinel-2 has been optimized for the most frequently grown crops in the Czech Republic: winter wheat, spring barley, oilseed rape, lucerne, maize and sugar beet. The target crop parameters were chlorophyll and water content in leaves and leaf area index (LAI). The method of calculating biophysical parameters was based on the use of the ProSAIL radiation transfer model, where the model simulates canopy status for various combinations of biophysical parameters in inverse mode. A combination of biophysical parameters, showing the best match for the reflectance values observed by the Sentinel-2 satellite system is searched. Developed products will find use in farms, for example in planning the management of agricultural land.

Current questions on specific DNA determination : possibilities of effective use in agriculture and food industry: 11.12.2009
Ovesná, Jaroslava ; Pouchová, Vladimíra
Research into the genetic variability of economically significant crops brings new opportunities to improve their biological potential. This seminar focused on the possibilities of some procedures, their use for gene characterization and genetic expression in important crops such as wheat and barley, as well as minor crops such as garlic and hemp, where there is not enough data available on the sequence of genes. Also practical applications of the obtained results have been shown as well as sampling procedures.
