Brno - Compact City among the old and the new railway stations

Urban-architectural study of a new part of town between the existing and future main train station in Brno. The study is a new concept of space as a potential alternative to the approved land-use plan. The main feature of the solution is to transfer the planned route of the proposed urban boulevard roller coaster in urbanized areas have street griddle. This solution is particularly beneficial in this respect that the body does not make the roller coaster of the area urban barrier. Emphasis is placed on the proposal to create exciting new urban spaces and their interconnectedness. The idea is to create a new pedestrian route as the natural link between the new railway station and historical center of Brno. The proposal addressed two sites. It is the creation of a new residential area on the waterfront Svratky and also address the reconstruction of railway station area. The proposal envisages the territory of the city with the addition of new functions such as library, conference center and also a new church.

The diploma thesis focuses on design of logistic concept in the storage hall of production to ensure the activities of assembly processes. Thesis is focused on the process of picking material for assembly, specifically on uneffective activities within the process. Through the theoretical part, the concepts and methods related to the issue were clarified. Based on the theoretical part, the analytical part was developed. The analytical part provided the basis for the design of logistic concept focused on the optimalization of production looses.

The aim of the diploma thesis Analysis of costs of a selected company using Activity Based Costing methods is to design a form of implementation of modern calculation methods for a selected company CIREX CZ, s.r.o. The analytical part is devoted to the introduction of the company and the products offered. The design part will be processed on the basis of outputs that result from strategic analyzes. The implementation of the calculation model consists of five stages, each stage will be discussed and analyzed separately. The diploma thesis sets out strategic initiatives that lead to eeting the objectives of the goal. The conclusion contains ecommendations and benefits that are associated with the implementation of the model in society.

Master’s thesis deals with analysis of costs of the selected company. Theoretical part brings on fundamental that is later elaborated in the second part. The selected company is introduced and also the current economic situation is evaluated in the practical part. Later the costs are analyzed and important part of the thesis is dedicated to the project of utilization of the Activity-Based Costing method. Conclusion of the thesis evaluates the results of this method.

Activation methods in the teaching of health education at the 2nd grade of selected elementary schools

The diploma thesis on the theme Activation methods in the teaching of health education at the second grade of a selected primary school deals with activation teaching methods and their use in the teaching of health education at a chosen primary school. The theoretical part deals with basic terminology and describes in detail the individual methods, the way of classification, and the field of health education itself. The practical part consists of the own quantitative research. There was selected a questionnaire survey as a research tool in the second grade of the Karel Jeřábek Elementary School in Roudnice nad Labem, specifically in the 8th and 9th grades. The aim of the research was to map the level of use of activation methods in the teaching of health education at the given school. The sub-goals were to find out what are the most used activation methods within the teaching to health education at a given school, the difference in the subjective perception of activation between pupils and the teacher of a given subject, to compare the representation of activation methods between individual teachers and to find out the degree of use of ICT technologies as an activation element. Liturgical space of the church in the selected parish

The bachelor thesis deals with the liturgical space of the church of St. Jacob the Elder in Boršov nad Vltavou. At the beginning, the thesis briefly defines the concept of liturgy and describes its development in the historical context. Then, it generally introduces the meaning and the historical development of the liturgical space, especially the influence of the II. Vatican Council to its apperance. The thesis also describes the Roman Catholic parish of Boršov nad Vltavou as a territorial community with surrounding villages where the sacral buildings are used for liturgical activities. Based on the facts from the first part, the main goal of the thesis is to describe the development and current form of the liturgical space of the church of St. Jacob the Elder. Finally, it presents leisure activities in the parish, in which the community of parishioners participates.
Life of a patient with ankylosing spondylitis

The bachelor thesis deals with the life of a patient with ankylosing spondylitis. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part presents anatomy and physiology of the spine, ankylosing spondylitis, its diagnosis and therapy. Furthermore, attention was paid to nursing care, communication and needs in everyday life of a patient with ankylosing spondylitis. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis was conducted through a qualitative research investigation, using the method of questioning, the technique of individual semi-structured interview. The study sample consisted of 7 patients with ankylosing spondylitis in a healthcare facility. Three objectives were chosen for the bachelor thesis. The first aim was to find out in which areas of normal daily activities ankylosing spondylitis affects the patient. The second aim was to investigate the role of the patient's family in the integration of the patient into normal daily activities. The third aim was to explore patients' perceptions of nurses' support in relation to their illness. In line with the objectives, research questions were set. Based on the results, it was found that patients with AS manage normal daily activities independently or with only minor assistance. Patients use compensatory aids to help them cope better with everyday activities. Treatment has a big impact on the patient's life, even though they use spa treatments and exercise daily. The research also showed that the support of family and friends plays a big role in the patient's life. Patients require more information from the nurse in collaboration with the doctor about treatment options, compensatory aids, exercise and social support.
