Coordination of Economic Policies of EU Focusing on The Visegrad Group Countries

This thesis examines the process of coordination of economic policies of the European Union on the example of the Visegrad countries. The introductory chapter describes the development of the economic policy coordination, discusses the key legal documents that most affected the process of coordination, and assesses the importance of the coordination for the European integration . The second chapter focuses on the latest changes in the legislation relating to the coordination of economic policies. The last chapter describes the influence of the most essential tools for coordinating the countries of the Visegrad Group. Assesses the extent differences involvement Slovakia coordination process, as the only state that groups that have adopted the euro . Assesses the impact of the crisis on developing coordination and lightly touching the issue of the future adoption of the euro in the countries of the Visegrad Group, which still use the national currency.
Visegrad Cooperation in the EU: Eastern Partnership as an Area of Common Interest

This thesis deals with the Visegrad Group (V4) as on of the cooperating coalitions in the European Union (EU). Then, a deeper analysis of one common topic of V4 in EU is provided - analysis of V4 activities in the framework of Eastern Partnership. Therefore the aim of the thesis is to analyse concrete actions of V4 within the policy of Eastern Partnership and choose those that contribute the most to the development of Eastern Partnership.
CULTURAL AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES IN THE VISEGRAD GROUP

This thesis analyzes the state support of the cultural and creative industries in selected post-communist countries, now the Visegrad Group. The first part is devoted to the impact of the totalitarian regime on culture and cultural policy, economic transformation and current economic situation of individual countries with emphasis on chracteristics of the cultural and creative industries concept. The main part of the thesis deals with the issues of culture policy perspective of each state including the opportunities available under EU funds. The final section presents the summary of a comparative analysis along with pros and cons of the models in all countries.

This bachelor's thesis deals with the problems of unemployment in the countries of the Visegrad Group. The main aim of this work is to investigate the development of unemployment and employment policy expenditures with potential impacts that these expenditures on unemployment may have. The theoretical part deals with the various types of unemployment, its potential impacts and are also introduced measures, whose aim is to limit the rise of unemployment. The practical part describes the development of two basic macroeconomic indicators of each of the countries of the Visegrad Group, it is effect a forecast of the future development of unemployment for the three monitored groups and then it is monitored the development of the expenditures of individual countries on employment policy.

The thesis deals with the pension schemes of the countries of the Visegrad Group. Literature review chapter introduces the reader to the issue of pension systems and pension reforms. The next section is a comparison of pension systems in the countries of the Visegrad Group and as a basis to identify significant differences in these schemes. The thesis analyzed the possible scenarios of further progress of the pension reform in the Czech Republic, including their benefits and impacts.
The Comparison of Central System of Public Administration in Countries of the Visegrád Group

This thesis is primarily focused on central systems of public administration in particular countries of the Visegrád Group. These countries include the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Slovak Republic and Poland. The introductory part of this thesis is dedicated to the concept of public administration and its structure in general, i.e. the definition, dividing and also its subjects and executors. The theoretical part is based on the description of particular systems on their highest levels including the constitutional and the political positions of its players. Last but not least, there is a description of its coherence with the state administration as well. At the end of this part, the importance of the Visegrád Group and the co-operation within this community is mentioned. The practical part of theBachelor's thesis consists of mutual comparison of analysed political structures.
Impact of the European Funds on the Economic Growth in the Visegrad Four Countries

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the impact of the European funds on the Economic growth in the Visegrad Four countries. The research focuses on the Structural Funds together with the Cohesion Fund. The thesis also examines the impact of the European funds on the convergence process in the countries of Visegrad Four and the indirect impact of the funding from the Cohesion Funds. The empirical results prove the positive impact of the funds on the economic growth and on the convergence process. The indirect impact is not confirmed.
The Comparative Analysis of Competitiveness of the Visegrad Group

The thesis deals with the analysis of competitiveness of the Visegrad Group. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the competitiveness of the Visegrad countries - the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. The countries will be examined in today's competitive environment within the Visegrad Group and the European Union. The analyze is based on data available from public sources and statistics. The work is divided into three chapters. The first part is devoted to the theoretical definition of competitiveness and methods of how to measure the competitiveness of the state. The second chapter introduces Visegrad Group and its common characteristics. The another part of the work is focused on the macroeconomic indicators - inflation, government debt and GDP per capita. The foreign trade and territorial and commodity structure of exports in the last ten years are also examined in this part. In the third chapter there is an analysis of the competitiveness based on investigation of labor productivity, labor costs, expenditures on research and development and tertiary education. In conclusion there is an evaluation of competitiveness of Visegrad Group based on the Global Competitiveness Index in 2011-2012.
Competitiveness of the Czech Republic in International Comparison

This diploma thesis focuses on competitiveness of the Czech Republic compared with other states of the Visegrad Group and Slovenia. The paper is divided into three parts. The first part is aimed at specification of the term competitiveness and the criticism of the concept of national competitiveness. The second part focuses on measuring of competitiveness. The last part analyzes competitiveness of the Czech Republic and other observed states.
