The role of communication strategy in nonprofit sector

New civil society organizations are those that are most often commercialized. Salamon (2005) discusses commercialization when organizations are motivated to offer services and products exclusively for profit. He presents commercialization as the penetration of market principles, culture and thinking into the non-profit sector. This phenomenon at NGOs serves the purpose of gaining financial independence and legitimization. On the other hand, the Center for Public Opinion Research (2019) published a report in which it was found that NGOs find themselves at the bottom places in a survey of credibility in selected institutions. The diploma thesis aimed to determine how NGOs should successfully communicate their activity to stakeholders to strengthen external credibility and gain financial independence and corporate culture. The research included techniques such as questionnaire survey, non- intrusive techniques and semi-structured interviews. The results have shown that the role of communication strategy is significant in the selected NGO. The NGO develops and evaluates the strategy annually and includes its entire organizational team. This bachelor's thesis focuses on internal communication and corporate culture of the communication agency Insighters. The main aim of the thesis is to examine the perception of mission, vision, and values by the employees of this company. Thesis deals with the influence of the length of employment in the agency on the mentioned phenomena. In the theoretical part, the concepts of agency, communication, and culture are first described. This is done to help the reader better understand the background of later defined concepts of internal communication and corporate culture. These concepts are theoretically defined in this thesis and introduce the reader how they should be properly set and understood in a corporate environment. In the practical part, the communication agency Insighters is first introduced, followed by an analysis of its internal communication and corporate culture. The reader is thus familiarized with formal and informal channels used by the agency, as well as its mission, vision, and values. The thesis aims to analyze the state of internal communication in the selected company, to identify bottlenecks (ineffective) in this area between subordinates/supervisors across all departments of the analyzed company and to propose possible solutions that would contribute to their improvement. Based on the theoretical findings and the results of the interviews with selected respondents of the analyzed company, solutions are proposed that will lead to improved information sharing, increased awareness, improved motivation and employee engagement, which in turn will positively affect the overall working atmosphere in the company.

The main aim of this thesis is to evaluate the internal communication in the selected organization and to propose changes to improve the current situation. The introductory part defines key concepts in the field of communication and deals with the specification of internal communication in detail. The most used communication channels in companies are described and part of the chapter is also devoted to the topics of feedback and corporate culture, which are closely related to internal communication. The next part of the thesis contains an analysis of internal communication in dm drogerie markt s.r.o. On the basis of a questionnaire survey, it examines internal communication tools, methods used to provide feedback and overall employee satisfaction with communication within the organization. In the conclusion, the results of the research are interpreted and recommendations for the improvement of the internal communication system in the company are proposed.

This bachelor thesis focuses on internal communication and corporate culture in the company GEMO. This bachelor thesis is systematically divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. In the theoretical part of the work, based on a search of professional literature, the issue of internal communication in the company, corporate culture and, last but not least, the specifics of construction companies are introduced. The practical part uses the method of quantitative research in the form of a questionnaire. The questionnaire is used to find out how internal communication and corporate culture are set up in the selected company. There is also an interview with a manager in the company. Furthermore, the method of SWOT analysis is used in the practical part of the work. The method was included because it is able to identify specific strengths and weaknesses in a specific area and strategy. Based on this SWOT analysis, recommendations for improving the current situation are defined.

The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on communication in the company as a whole. The practical part is focused on working with the acquired knowledge. The current situation in the company is analyzed and based on the obtained data, internal communication in the company is proposed, which aims to simplify communication and not confuse employees with irrelevant information, which will positively affect the working atmosphere in the company.

The diploma thesis Medium as a tool of internal communication in the ICT sector maps and analyzes the spectrum of media used in internal communication by companies that operate in the field of information and communication technologies. The thesis is divided into four main parts. The first part presents the theoretical literature review and provides the basis for subsequent analytical research. This section focuses on the description of internal communication as a field of inquiry and subsequently each communication channel and the media used in internal communication. The second part consists of a description of the methodology used for this study. The third part focuses on the presentation of data obtained from both qualitative (in-depth interviews) and quantitative research (statistical evaluation of the response of the electronic questionnaire) . The fourth part, discussion, is devoted to the analysis of the data obtained, comparing them with the theoretical part and at the same time, the author answers the research questions and sub-questions of this study.
