This thesis evaluates the financial situation of Pekárna Crocus, Ltd. between the years 2006 - 2011. The aim of this work is to evaluate the current financial position of the company and to draft proposals for its improvement. The first part will summarize all the theoretical knowledge, on the basis of which the practical part will be created. The second part consists of information relating to the company. In the third part of the work a financial analysis will be done and finally the proposals and measures to improve the current financial situation will be presented.

Bachelor’s thesis evaluates the financial situation of the company Siemens s.r.o. within the years 2006 – 2009 through the use of selected basic methods of the financial analysis. It appears from accounting records of watched period. It determines problems and proposes possible solutions, which will be executed in the future to improve actual financial situation in the firm. Thesis also deals with information systems of company, level of assurance by information systems. It determines problems of the systém and proposes possible changes, which leads to improvement of company’s information systém.

This bachelor thesis focuses on evaluating the financial situation of the company Thermo Fisher Scientific Brno s.r.o. in the period from 2012 to 2016 by using financial indicators. The bachelor thesis is divided into three parts. The first part consists of the theory necessary to perform a financial analysis. The second part deals with the specific analysis of the mentioned company and in the last part possible solutions to improve the financial situation are suggested.

The Bachelor´s thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial health of the selected company by the analysis of business environment and financial analysis. The theoretical part processes literature review on the issue according to which is created analysis of the internal and external business environment, SWOT analysis and financial analysis in the practical part. Then there are evaluated the results and possible solutions suggested to the financial situation of the company which are based on the findings from each analysis.

Analysis of the selected company was made on firm which provides SPA treatment. Results of analysis of external enviroment are negative influence of political and economic factors. Most positive impact have technological factors. Best results of the financial analysis reached indicators of liquidity, debt and indicators of bankruptcy models. Low return of assets and turnover time of claim are deficiencies. Current position of company is very good in terms of financial stability.

The presented thesis is focused on the assessment of the financial situation of the company for the years 2009 – 2013 using selected methods of financial analysis. Pursuant identified results the thesis gives recommendations which lead to the improvement of the contemporary situation. The first part of the thesis is devoted to information about the company, theoretical knowledge and methods. The practical part contains calculations of the selected indicators of financial analysis and comments on the identified values. This part is concluded overall assessment of the financial position of the company. The last part is made up of suggestions to improve the current state of the financial situation.
