The Use of Metohods of the Project Management in Company

This diploma thesis deals with a project management issue. The aim of the thesis is to propose a project for the implementation of information system in a selected company with the use of theoretical knowledge discussed in the second chapter. The third chapter contains information about this company and the analysis of ice hockey statistical systems. In the fourth part of the thesis is presented the proposal of project documentation for the implementation and the benefits of suggested solutions.

For this purpose, reconstruction of a warehouse was used as an example. The aim of this thesis is to describe software products used for the project management and compare them according to specific criteria.

The bachelor‘s thesis approaches the use of project management methods in practice, specifically in the implementation of a new information system in a church non-profit organization. The introductory part is devoted to the theoretical basis of the thesis, which are then used in the practical section. The analytical section deals with the current project management of the organization and some of the analyzes used in the pre-project phase of the project. The analytical part is followed by the practical section, which draws on the performed analyzes and used methods and submits a proposal for the solution of project management applicable in the future.

Proposal of the Implementation of the Project Management Methodology into the Company

This diploma theses deals with the challenges of a project management in a particular construction company that handles projects on daily basis. I focused on the analysis of a particular project in this company, that has been successfully implemented. This analysis served as a starting point for the designing of the changes, as well as a devising a tool that simplifies the set up of the changes into practice. Selected problem was solved by comparing the project management methodology in the project with the project management practices officially proposed in the literature. Tool design was carried out in the environment of Microsoft Excel. I managed to design a tool in which the shortcomings are treated the way that facilitates their implementation into practice, especially by using an easy environment and outputs well-arranged for the user. This tool is therefore mainly used to eliminate the identified shortcomings and thus to facilitate and simplify project management in practice.

Increasing competition in the construction market, the demands of investors and the unstable economic situation, these are factors which are forcing companies to effectively preparing and managing procurement. . The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyze the management of construction contracts in the selected company. Then the desired output is to design and documentation preparation supplying me selected buildings "Residential building Rieger" in Czech Budweis with the help of project management methods.
