Software for manual focus of camera with 4K resolution
Sláma, Adam ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Kříž, Petr (advisor)
This Master thesis is focused on the analysis of currently used methods which whose target is to determine the rate of image focus. This analysis was used during the development of the program which evaluates the rate of image focus in percentage rate, works in real time and cooperates with a camera capable of 4k image resolution with a manual focus of the lenses. Application is then capable of a finding of a pre-defined image under certain circumstances which is being used for increasing of effectivity of image focusing. Another option is represented by a method that is searching the most suitable area for focusing in the center of the image. A detailed description of these methods and program itself are also included in the thesis. The final part of the thesis contains records of measurement tests with its results.
Preventing Computer System from Computational Overload Due to Interrupts
Hajdík, Tomáš ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the techniques to prevent computer system from computational overloading due to excessive frequency of interruptions. The goal is to document the effect of interupts on a selected computing platform containing the ARM Cortex-M4 processor core. The work describes and implements possible software techniques that reduce the impact of consequences of overload due to excessive interruption frequency. At the same time the work verifies and compares the effectiveness of the particular implemented techniques by appropriate set of experiments.
Data Analysis and Clasification from the Brain Activity Detector
Jileček, Jan ; Černocký, Jan (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This thesis aims to implement methods for recording EEG data obtained with the neural activity sensor OpenBCI Ultracortex IV headset. It also describes neurofeedback, methods of obtaining data from the motor cortex for further analysis and takes a look at the machine learning algorithms best suited for the presented problem. Multiple training and testing datasets are created, as well as a tool for recording the brain activity of a headset-wearing test subject, which is being visually presented with cognitive challenges on the screen in front of him. A neurofeedback demo app has been developed, presented and later used for calibration of new test subjects. Next part is data analysis, which aims to discriminate the left and right hand movement intention signatures in the brain motor cortex. Multiple classification methods are used and their utility reviewed.
Wavelet-type compression of images using distributed computing in Matlab
Seifert, David ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis deals with the possibility of wavelet compression in Matlab. In the beginning it only made me review the history of Wavelet analysis and its possibilities. Then followed a general kampitola wavelet transform, basic knowledge about it. It also identified Mallátův pyramidal algorithm. The following chapter on the DWT and its use for processing the image compression. Chapter One consists of the implementation of compression in Matlab. Here is the reason for dividing the image into blocks. There is also mention 2 basic methods of processing using Matlab, and parallel and distributed. In another part of the chapter followed by a description of the program itself. In the last part of the chapter is set to use this program with different parameters of the elective program.
Compression of ECG signals
Kašpárek, Jan ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Hrubeš, Jan (advisor)
This thesis contains general description of several basic compression algorithms used either for lossy and lossless compression. These algorithms are runlength encoding, Lempel-Ziv, Huffman encoding, Move-to-Front, wavelet transform and Burrows-Wheeler transform. Aim of this thesis is creation of ECG compression algorithm with implementation of runlength encoding and BWT. Another technique used in algorithm is wavelet transform. The algorithm is written in programming environment MATLAB.
Educational video codec
Dvořák, Martin ; Hála, Ondřej (referee) ; Slanina, Martin (advisor)
The first goal of diploma thesis is to study the basic principles of video signal compression. Introduction to techniques used to reduce irrelevancy and redundancy in the video signal. The second goal is, on the basis of information about compression tools, implement the individual compression tools in the programming environment of Matlab and assemble simple model of the video codec. Diploma thesis contains a description of the three basic blocks, namely - interframe coding, intraframe coding and coding with variable length word - according the standard MPEG-2.
Watermarking of digital data
Kupka, Jan ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The main aim of this project is to implement two different types of the watermarking algorithm in frequency (transforamtion) domain. Because of the huge amount of the watermarking algorithms is this thesis dedicated to the watermarking methods in the frequency domain. These methods use kind of transformation implemented on the original data, the second step is modification of transformation coeficients. This project is dedicated to the methods which use discrete wavelet transformation. Nowdays the most popular transformation, which meets the best efforts. The aim of every method is to embeed the watermark into the original data so precisly, that none observer can recognize any change between the original and watermarked data. On the contrary, watermarked picture should be as resistant to the attacks as possible. By the term of attack, we understand all the ways, that disable watermark extraction. The watermark method robustness will be tested with the use of Checkmark program.
Breathing Rate Estimation from the Electrocardiogram and Photoplethysmogram
Janáková, Jaroslava ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Kozumplík, Jiří (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the issue of gaining the respiratory rate from ECG and PPG signals, which are not only in clinical practice widely used measurable signals. The theoretical part of the work outlines the issue of obtaining a breath curve from these signals. The practical part of the work is focused on the implementation of five selected methods and their final evaluation and comparison.
Profiling of Embedded Applications
Koleček, František ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This thesis is about profiling of embedded applications. The thesis is focused primarily on the ARM Cortex-M platform. The theoretical part of this thesis contains explanation of basic principles and terms associated with profiling and development of embedded applications. The thesis also summarizes existing profiling methods and tools associated with this topic. The goal of the practical part of this thesis is to use the chosen means to profile various parameters and evaluate the results. I decided to implement a library containing profiling tools, which allow for execution time measurement and stack usage measurement. Results obtained using this library were analyzed by calculating the measurement uncertainty.
