The content of this work is the analysis and explanation of the data box in the e-government of the Czech Republic. The thesis will be dealt with the processing of implementation and using of data boxes in the state and local governments, specifically their using at the Municipal office in Chrudim. The result of the work will be suggestions and recommendations for more effective using of data boxes at the Municipal Office of Chrudim.

This diploma thesis called eGovernment from the perspective of interest groups engages with the current topic of the usage of eGovernment in the Czech Republic. The main goal of the thesis is to identify the main benefits and drawbacks of used eGovernment services from the perspective of selected interest groups. Supportive goals of the thesis are to identify interest groups that can view this issue differentially and characterize the actual status of eGovernment in the Czech Republic. A part of this thesis also focuses on the comparison of eGovernment status among the Visegrad Group countries. Benefits and drawbacks of eGovernment are identified by multiple methods, mainly by quantitative pre-research and qualitative research performed by the author of this thesis in the form of questionnaires and interviews with the representatives of selected interest groups. Prior to both types of research, the author conducted SWOT analyses of eGovernment services is conducted from the perspective of all selected interested groups. Furthermore, the thesis contains the analysis of settled Czech case-law that relates to eGovernment. This bachelor thesis deals with computerization of public administration and with associated benefits and disadvantages which arise during its establishment and functioning. The development and legislation is summarized and mainly the important terms are defined in the literary research. These terms are for example public administration portal, Czech POINT, data box, electronic signature, etc. Next in the research are described the advantages and disadvantages related to the computeri-zation of public administration. The main part of the thesis is concerned with instruments of computerization in public administration which are provided at the municipal office in Lelekovice. Next part of the thesis is based on a questionnaire survey concerning how the citizens of the village use the services given by the municipality. In the conclusion of the bachelor thesis, possible suggestions will be presented for the improvement of the deficiencies in the area of computerization of public administration, which were detected during the writing of this thesis.

The thesis is divided into two parts: literature research and the main part. The research part includes basic terms concerning eGovernment, a description of the aforementioned tools, corresponding with legal requirements, and the contemporary situation of eGovernment. The main part deals with the use of the tools in practice at the anonymous municipal authority of XY. The final section introduces changes proposed to secure the effectiveness of the authority.

This bachelor thesis describes individual tools of eGovernment that are used at the anonymous municipal authority. It is divided into two parts: literature research and personal work. Literature research includes definitions of basic terms, history and visions for the future of eGovernment. It describes electronic signature and stamp, filing service, agenda information systems, Czech POINT, basic registers and data boxes. Personal work is focused on using these tools, searching for their advantages and disadvantages or problems. At the end of thesis, there are a few suggestions for changes, which can be done for citizen’s satisfaction and for better efficiency by using these tools.
