The Renovation of the former District Court in Zlín

The Bachelor´s thesis is about the restoration and new use of the District Court in Zlín. The building hasn´t been using for a long time. Therefore, the aim of this work is to find a suitable architectural design which meets the requirements for a new use. This is a guesthouse with restaurant, brewery, spa services, and a small gym. Due to the extensive damage of annex from the north side, the object of the District Court and the newer annex are retained. But the annex will be reduced, two storeys will be demolished because of unstable ground and poor quality of roof insulation. Reconstruction will be favorable to architecture of Zlín. There is new sheathing by facing bricks. The facade of the District Court building is preserved, it has pastel colors.
Public Houses and their Publicans from 16th to 19th Century

This thesis focuses on all kinds of public house services in České Budějovice from the 16th to the 17th century. It describes the special status of publican guilds using guild instructions from different epoques and presents particular České Budějovice pubs and also a typology of these. The core topic of the thesis is the list of original brewing rights holding houses in which pubs were found and the introduction of important historical pubs, inns, or wine bars in the centre of České Budějovice. Brewery in the Chamber Domaine of Brandýs nad Labem in the 16-17th Century

Ondřej ZICH, Brewery in the Chamber Domaine of Brandýs nad Labem in the 16- 17th Century, The thesis, Charles University in Prague, The Faculty of Arts, 2013, The thesis presents the two main breweries in the Chamber Domain of Brandýs nad Labem between 1547 and 1700, the communal municipal brewery of the brewers' guild in Brandýs nad Labem and the emperor's plant by the castle in the same place. The description of the municipal brewery lets us see in detail the statutes and working of the brewers' guild, including its membership and its problems with beer taverns, through the municipal and guild chronicle. On the other hand, research about the castle brewery is based on sources from Nova manipulace indicating its building adjustment, employees and profit. The final part of the thesis is dedicated to the mutual territorial and price competition and a comparison of both breweries. The main goal of this thesis is to create a real business plan for establishing a small brewery in Dolni Libchavy. The work consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part will acquaint us with basic terms, definition of required analysis and detailed description of each part of business plan. In the practical part is processed business plan for the brewery. There are analysis for internal and external environmental and finally financial cover of entire business.
To recognition of the castle hinterland in the Middle Agens (13.-16. cent.) in Náchod district

This thesis deals with castle rear in Middle Ages (13.-16. cent.) in Náchod district. Terrain exploration has taken place at 15 castles in Nachod district and has brought some new knowledge about the castle rear. A major benefit of the work is the discovery of a fortified castle rear of Adršpach castle, which was detail analyzed. This thesis also deals with questions, if specific castle need castle rear to its own existing and which relationship has castle to different components of the economic operation. The greatest attention is given to relationship of the castle to the town, economic court, mill and brewery. The results of the work are compared in a broader context.

History of Znojmo's brewery (1363-2010) - abstract The content of this Bachelor Degree Thesis is the complete history and building development of the only remaining Znojmo brewery in the period of 1720 to 2010, a brewery that is no longer operating. At the same time, this thesis describes the history of brewing in Znojmo begining from the first sings in the 13th century (emphasising 1363 which was a legendary year for Znojmo's brewing) till 2010 when the last brewery in Znojmo was completely closed and the tradition of brewing in Znojmo lasting for almost 700 years was interrupted. The following chapters describe for example the origin of the name "Hostan", the present name of Znojmo's beer, concentrating to all products, once produced in Znojmo brewery, and awards that once famously delicious Znojmo's beer Hostan received all round the Czech Republic. The thesis completely summarizes all the years of Beer Festival - a modern tradition that arose thanks to the existence of brewery and ceased, when the brewery was closed. Strategic analysis of an enterprise

This bachelor thesis is dedicated to an analysis of strategic position of Plzensky Prazdroj, a.s. Theoretic body describes the thought sources of strategy view as a process of searching for a match between opportunities, which stem from the micro environment structure, and internal capabilities, which allow the enterprise to use these opportunities; further, it describes techniques used and characteristics evaluated during the analysis. Practical body applies these techniques upon Plzensky Prazdroj and eventually offers a conclusion on its strategic position and possible future directions of development. Thesis is concluded with several general recommendations on strategy formulation based on the preceding analysis.
Automation of brewhouse

Diploma thesis presents automatization of brewhouse in Ústecký Region. The first part of thesis describes beer brewing technology. Second describes changes made to the techno- logy and installation of remote service access. Further is discussed the implementation of algorithms in existing PLC, design of SCADA system including it’s implementation. The last part describes how commissioning was done, and further describes record of lautering.
Conversion of Brewery in Prostejov

This diploma thesis aims to outline the possibilities of refurbishment of former brewery in Prostejov from 1897. The thesis includes stages of realisation. It describes demolitions of objects unsuitable for conversion, new access to the area with pedestrian bridge over Hloucela river and gradual integration of the area into the city life to the rest of the city. In the area of the former brewery there are 4 buildings left from the former ones – main building of the brewery, stables, bottling plant and the former owner’s villa. The thesis includes the refurbishment of three of them. The villa remains unchanged and is used as an apartment house as today. The coworking center, multifunctional hall, bistro, shopping arcade, office spaces, six housing units, sports hall and kindergarten are gradually newly implemented to the area. The project aims to create place for living, working and leisure activities at the same time which would be suitable for wide range of people.
Historical Breweries: the Past or the Future?

Until these days we have registered 1400 brewery facilities. In this list there are factories which are fully functional, used for another function, abandoned or completely vanished. Unfortunately most of them are ruins or completely destroyed. Important thing is how we will treat with these structures in the future. Will we use this unique potential, or leave this place for a new function? Which way we can choose? What is the potential of these buildings and what they need? This article tries to briefly describe and highlight the extraordinary qualities of a large group of industrial buildings which due to dramatic changes in society became endangered.
