Importance of special class for pupils with mild mental disabilities at regular primary school

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of education of pupils with intellectual disabilities in the environment of regular elementary schools. The aim of the thesis is to describe and verify the system of education in a class set up for pupils with mild intellectual disabilities and to evaluate the importance of this class within a regular primary school. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to the characteristics of intellectual disabilities, deals with school legislation, compares the education systems of pupils with special educational needs in neighboring countries and describes educational procedures and methods in the education of people with mild intellectual disabilities. The practical part is implemented by one of the methods of qualitative research, which is a case study. The research is carried out in the form of observations in the classroom set up according to § 16, paragraph 9, additional information is obtained on the basis of semi-structured interviews with schoolteachers and parents of pupils. The conclusions of the investigation offer the characteristics of the given class, its specifics and possibilities.
Motivation of Sportismen with Down Syndrome

The bachelor thesis focuses on the influence of motivation on individuals with Down syndrome in sports. It examines the athletic performances of individuals with Down syndrome in selected disciplines and compares the results of these performances between motivated athletes and athletes without motivational support. Furthermore, it addresses the sports opportunities provided to people with Down syndrome and provides an overview of the overall success of athletes with Down syndrome in selected sports at the international level. The thesis utilizes qualitative methods to determine how motivation affects individuals with Down syndrome who engage in sports. Athletes were tasked with completing specific disciplines that were repeated, with the only difference being the motivation provided by coaches. The research was conducted over a longer period of time to ensure that the individual's athletic condition did not interfere with the results of the observation. Work methods with pupils with intellectual disabilities in special elementary schools in Zlínský Region

This diploma thesis deals with work methods that are used in the education of pupils with intellectual disabilities. The aim of the thesis is to find out how teachers work with pupils with intellectual disabilities in special primary schools in the Zlín region. In the mentioned theoretical starting points, intellectual disability is first defined, the educational process and its specifics in the special primary school is mentioned, as well as the work methods that are used in the education of pupils in the special primary school. Information for the qualitative research was obtained using semi-structured interviews, conducted with twelve special education teachers. The obtained data were analyzed using a grounded theory design and open coding technique. The research revealed that special education teachers use a huge number of different teaching aids. They don't use textbooks much, and if they do, then those from Parta, Septima, Taktik and Nová škola publishing houses. In special primary schools in the Zlín region, they have a Snoezelen room, perform Basal Stimulation and some also provide individual speech therapy. Distance education of a pupil with mild mental retardation during the COVID-19 pandemic: case study

This bachelor thesis is focused on the distance education of a pupil with mild mental retardation during the COVID-19 pandemic. It should capture the benefits and disadvantages of this type of education. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part defines the concepts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of it on education. Furthermore is described the distance education and its types. There is defined the mental retardation, its etiology, classification and the definition of a mild mental retardation. The theoretical part also describes the education of people with mental disabilities and their education during compulsory schooling. Further is described the elementary school in Vokovice, its school's educational program and the division of the students into classes in the year according to the level of support. For the practical part was used the method of qualitative research with the help of semi- structured and narrative interviews with parents, the student's class teacher and with the student herself, and with the help of observation in the home and school environment. School principal at the implementer of changes affecting the quality of relations between the teaching stuff

This diploma thesis is focused on the position on headmaster and the relations between the teachers. The thesis has been devided into several chapters and subchapters. In the theoretical basis of this thesis there are the main basic concepts explained as school, culture of the school, headmaster, personality of the headmaster, vision of the school, concepts of leaderships and management. The main goal of this diploma thesis is an analysis and description of quality of the relations of teachers stuff. Secondary, the thesis approaches following questions: What kind of leadership has been applied at the chosen school? How and to what extent can the headmaster influence relations in the teachers stuff? How do the teachers perceive the personality of the headmaster? An analysis of questionnaires and interview are the main methods used to answer these questions. The final results of this research have been summarized in the conclusion.
