Legislation, support and possibilities of development of photovoltaic power plants in the Czech Republic and Slovakia
Svitek, Dominik ; Kouba, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Zelený, Martin (referee)
The thesis compares the geographical, economic and legislative conditions of establishing a photovoltaic power plant in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Describes history and predicts future development of renewable energy sources, especially photovoltaic power plants. On a practical example, a photovoltaic power plant built in Eastern Slovakia analyzes the economy of this plant and also describes its impact on landscape and locality development.
Market of Physical Media in the Field of Film and Music
Kratochvílová, Lucie ; Hanzlík, Jan (advisor) ; Zelený, Martin (referee)
The bachelor thesis is devided into two parts, a teoretical one and a practical one. One chapter of the teoretical part deals with the development of physical media in the field of film and music with an overlap to online distribution and the current state of the physical media market. Another chapter of the thesis is devoted to legislation in this field. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the influence of corporations on the market with physical media and marketing strategies. The main content of the practical part is quantitative research, which identifies patterns of behaviour in purchasing physical media today. The information obtained is interpreted in the form of graphs with the comprehensive description. The outcome of the research is a definition of a typical customer who, based on the answers I get, most often purchases physical media.
Short film and its distribution
Fojtíková, Anna ; Hanzlík, Jan (advisor) ; Zelený, Martin (referee)
Bachelor thesis Short film and its distribution explores the phenomenon of the short film and its possible spread. Thesis deals with the definition of short film and film distribution. By using the interviews will be held to analyze the possibilities of distribution of short films. Based on these interviews, the reader will be able to get a rough idea of how one can currently run film distribution of this type of film.
Culture Shock on the example of international students in Prague
Bezushchenko, Polina ; Dianová, Markéta (advisor) ; Zelený, Martin (referee)
This thesis covers the problem of culture shock that is nowadays becoming more and more popular, since our world is the world of both extensive and intensive integration and globalization. The aim of the work is to analyze how much international students in Prague are affected by culture shock. The first part of the thesis provides the deep information about the concept of culture shock. The second part of the work comprises the survey which was done by the mean of the questionnaire. The results are evaluated and presented in the particular chapter together with evaluations and inferences. The research shows that there are certain patterns of behavior that can be seen in particular cases regarding culture shock.
Ab initio calculations of the phase stability in Ni-Mn-Ga alloys
Pongrácz, Jakub ; Šesták, Petr (referee) ; Zelený, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with theoretical study of magnetic shape memory alloy based on Ni2MnGa with help of ab initio calculations of electronic structure within the projector augmented wave method. In particular the effect of Co- and Cu-doping is studied on total-energy profile along the tetragonal deformation path between austenite phase with cubic L21 structure and phase of nonmodulated martensite. Obtained results are used for estimation of doping influence on martensitic transformation temperature. Transformation temperature increases in the alloy doped by 3.125 at. % of copper instead of gallium whereas transformation temperature decreases in the alloy doped by 3.125 at. % of cobalt instead of nickel. If both type of doping are used the transformation temperature increases slightly because the effect of copper is stronger. Comparison of results from this work with available results obtained with help of the coherent potential approximation shows that a local lattice distortion around doping atom has negligible effect on studied properties.
Observation of twin boundaries in Ni-Mn-Ga alloys
Čech, Jan ; Jan, Vít (referee) ; Zelený, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on observation of twin boundaries in a magnetic shape memory alloy based on Ni2MnGa with 10M martensitic structure. Theoretical part of the thesis describes materials with shape memory effect, their response on mechanical or magnetic loading, phenomenon of twinning, which is closely connected to the shape memory effect, and various levels of twinning. Experimental part studies different types of twin boundaries in monocrystal of alloy Ni49.2Mn30.4Ga20.4 using optical and electron microscopy. The thesis also deals with detection of structural orientations in different twin variants. A holder of samples was designed and constructed for real time observation of twin-boundary movement by optical microscopy. Deformation by pressure shows, that stress necessary for movement of Type II twin boundaries is ~0.2 MPa, whereas it is ~0.6 MPa for movement of Type I.
Overindebtedness connected to consumer finance - possible solutions and suggested precaution
Zelený, Martin ; Angelovská, Olga (advisor) ; Trlifajová, Lucie (referee)
This thesis is mapping current situation in the area of consumer lending, shows main reasons and impacts of overindebtedness and also its connetion to consumer lending. The target is to suggest appropriate regulation to lower the rate of overindebtedness, that exists in this area due to the absence of regulation in the area of consumer lending in Czech republic. Suggested regulation insures higher consumer protection and compact rules for all the partcipants on the consumer lending market. It also collects complex information about clients and their debt ratio. It has advantages for all participants.
Digitization of film material in the context of film archives
Machová, Jana ; Hanzlík, Jan (advisor) ; Zelený, Martin (referee)
The thesis is devoted to the topic of film material archiving, digitization, digital restoration and possibilities of preserving a digital copy of the film. In the theoretical part, the reader will be introduced to the basic concepts related to topic of film material preservation and digitization. The digitization process will be explained both in theory and on practical examples from digitization of film Old Czech Legends. Based on the theoretical knowledge from the first part, the situation regarding digitization of film material in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic will be discussed in the practical part. This thesis aims to find the fundamental differences in film material digitization approaches in these two countries.
Decision making of Prague moviegoers
Macháček, Ivan ; Hanzlík, Jan (advisor) ; Zelený, Martin (referee)
The aim of this work is to analyze attitudes of Prague film viewers towards watching films at the cinema and at home and to find out on what factors do they base their decision to watch a particular film. The means to achieve this goal are research of existing literature related to this subject and my own research through a questionnaire survey on a sample population of Prague with a corresponding demographic composition. The most crucial conclusions from this investigation are related to the frequency of watching movies in the cinema and at home, attitudes towards the origin and localization of movies, attitudes towards various genres, factors influencing the choice of a film and comparing the results of various demographic groups (by gender, age and education) within these topics.
Experimental and computational methods for determination of local values of Young´s modulus in polycrystalline materials
Svoboda, Ondřej ; Zelený, Martin (referee) ; Jan, Vít (advisor)
The bachelor thesis combines computational and experimental methods for determination of local Young's modulus of polycrystalline materials. Quantum-mechanical calculations are used for theoretical determination of anisotropic elastic properties and the results are compared with those from nanoindetation measurements. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to apply these two methods to elemental iron as a pre-step for future research of binary Fe-Al alloys.
