ETF funds as an alternative to collective investment
ZÁMEČNÍKOVÁ, Veronika
This thesis focuses on ETF funds as an alternative to collective investment. In the first part of the theses collective investment is defined, its pros and cons. The next chapters are dedicated to history of collective investment in the world and Czech Republic, legislation in Czech Republic and subjects of collective investment. In the next chapter of the first part the indicators of yield and risk are described. The last chapter of theoretical part is devoted to ETF funds characteristics, differentiation of the basic differences between ETF funds and other funds of collective investment and the main categories of ETF funds. For the practical part of the thesis, I chose 15 ETF funds and 10 actively managed funds. For these funds the indicators of yield, indicators of yield with risk considered and indicators of risk were calculated. The indicators of yield with risk considered are Sharpe ratio, Treynor ratio and Jensen method of alfa coefficient calculation, as indicators of risk the standard deviation and Value at risk were chosen. The data used were monthly and it was set up time period of five years. Lastly, I compared the calculated values, determined if it is more beneficial to invest in ETF funds or in actively managed funds and I recommended funds for minor investor. The data used were between 2017 and the end of 2021, so its development was affected by the Covid-19 epidemic that negatively affected prices of securities and by that also funds that trade with these securities.
The yield, risk and liquidity of investment options
ZÁMEČNÍKOVÁ, Veronika
In this thesis I am focusing on financial investments, their yield, risk and liquidity and portfolio. First I will divide financial and capital markets, characterize investments and investing process phases. Financial instruments, into which investor can deposit his free finances, such as stocks, bonds, unit trusts, money deposits, commodities, real estate, or foreign exchange market are introduced to the reader. The investor has various options, but in my thesis, I will focus on financial investment. In the next chapter I will define 3 important terms, yield, risk, and liquidity, and how to calculate those values. I will also shortly inform about portfolio and calculation of its yield and risk. In the last chapter of the theoretical part I will introduce investment strategies, that investor can approach, based on investment period, approach to risk and risk of inflation. For the practical part of my thesis I chose savings account, state and corporate bonds and stocks. For chosen instruments I calculated yield, risk and guessed liquidity. Due to the nature and comparison of chosen investments I calculated only current yield. For risk I set up time period of three years. For chosen bonds the duration was calculated. Data that have been used in this thesis had to be months old, because of the COVID-19 epidemic, that had negative effects on stocks markets. I compared the results and, in the end recommended a suitable strategy for set investors.

Furthermore, the practical part informs about the needs of teachers who would like to include yoga in the education of preschool children. It was found that kindergarten teachers would welcome materials to teach yoga in preschool.
Inquire-Based Science Education in General and Inorganic Chemistry
Zámečníková, Veronika
This thesis deals with the possibility of implementing Inquiry-Based Science Education (IBSE) into teaching practice mainly at elementary schools. The focus is put on teaching general and inorganic chemistry. The theoretical part consists of the conceptual apparatus and research methodology related to implementation of IBSE activities into teaching. It also discusses how important may implementing of the IBSE principles be for supporting the student interest in science and for upgrading their scientific abilities which may make it easier in future to put the young generation into practice. Another chapter describes current situation in practical application of the IBSE in Czech Republic. It summarizes basic theories and experience with introducing IBSE into classrooms. The thesis also analyses the selection of curriculum suitable for applying IBSE in chemistry and chemistry didactics. The practical part of the thesis incorporates educational documents for working within IBSE principles and gives an overview of results of author's own research, realized between 2014 - 2016. The research was focused on attitude of students towards chemistry and its evolution after implementing the IBSE principles. Based on results of this research, specific drafts of IBSE implements are rendered for general and inorganic...

New trends in the Science education at primary schools
Hlavová, Lucie ; Čtrnáctová, Hana (advisor) ; Zámečníková, Veronika (referee)
The present diploma thesis concentrates on the usage of inquiry based education in the primary stage of education in the course of teaching science. Attention is firstly given to the students' skills which this type of education utilizes and without which it would be impossible to apply it in practice. These skills are analyzed on a theoretical level and consequently, by means of a didactic test, are practically tested with pupils at primary school level. Another part of the thesis are materials for selected science topics which evolve from the inquiry based education principle. The topics are chosen in accord with the official educational programme of the Czech education systém and contribute towards a more effective educational process and the heightening of the interest of students in science.
