Theoretical and Practical Aspect of Unit-linked Insurance
Merenda, David ; Karfíková, Marie (advisor) ; Boháč, Radim (referee) ; Vybíral, Petr (referee)
v anglickém jazyce Theoretical and Practical Aspect of Unit-linked Insurance Abstract United-linked insurance (ULI) is the most widely sold type of life insurance in the Czech Republic; frequently, however, this product is sold to clients without respecting their investment profile and financial needs (mis-selling); mis-selling, in turn, results in the loss of confidence in the system of financial distribution and its efficiency. Even though the current legislation offers tools to mitigate mis-selling (not only) of ULI, in practice such legal regulation proves to be insufficient. The causes of this relate to both the distributors and their customers, as well as to the financial products themselves. Behavioural research has proven marked shortcomings in the economic and legal understanding of a human being as a homo economicus, i.e. as a rationally acting agent. A number of studies evidence that people oftentimes demonstrate limited rationality, which negatively impacts financial distribution, in that these cognitive errors may be purposefully and skilfully abused by distributors who use their marketing and sales strategies to the clients' disadvantage. In this respect, this thesis analyses the current financial-political customer protection doctrines; the status of the ULI customer protection,...

Vybíral, Petr ; Růžička, Květoslav (advisor) ; Ondřej, Jan (referee) ; Kunz, Oto (referee)
The subject of this dissertation thesis is dispute resolution in the international sports law. A crucial is to focus primarily on resolution of disputes through international arbitration and its preceding internal dispute resolution mechanisms within sports organizations. First of all it is necessary to provide a definition of sports disputes with an international element. After that it is necessary to deal with internal mechanisms for resolving sports disputes, which are closely linked to the issue of law on associations. With regard to the location of the seat of most major international sports organizations in Switzerland and with regard to the country of origin of this dissertation thesis the subject matter is viewed especially through the lens of the Swiss and the Czech law. Crucial role in resolving of disputes in international sport plays a Swiss Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, which corresponds to an extent of this part of thesis. Finally, it also should not be omitted judicial and alternative resolution of disputes in sport, although in practice it does not reach significance of internal and arbitrational resolution of disputes. To enliven the thesis, the final chapter is devoted to resolving of disputes during the last two Olympics.
Code-switching of standard and colloquial Czech as a didactics problem
Čihák, Jan ; Šebesta, Karel (advisor) ; Vybíral, Petr (referee) ; Kvítková, Naděžda (referee)
Jan Čihák Code-switching of standard and colloquial Czech as a didactics problem Summary This dissertation examines the process of code-switching between so called standard and colloquial Czech in the process of education, especially in the language used by teachers in the classroom. Discussion about increasing use of colloquial Czech in broader situations and functions (based on previous research) among linguists is still present in various linguistic journals as it appears to be one of the central sociolinguistic problems of the Czech language. The main problems discussed in this dissertation are to what extent is the code-switching present in the teachers' speech in the classroom, what functions does it have in this specific area of communication and what (if any) are the features of code-switching to be considered for further teaching of Czech. In the theoretical part, different functional aspects of, and linguistic points of view on this phenomenon in Czech language are analysed with regard to its impact on the education of contemporary Czech in secondary schools. The author also analyses the requirements on teachers' use of language set by curricular documents and relevant linguistic papers, according to which there appears to be less emphasis at present on the use of standard Czech in classrooms,...
