Child in a Family with Cumulated Problems, situation Evaluation and Care Planning, Role and Competence of NGO

This bachelor's thesis occupies with evaluation of a child's situation in a family facing cumulated problems and also with methods and procedures of these evaluations being mostly used in Czech Republic. The evaluation process itself is described from the point of view of a non-profit association STŘEP's social field worker dealing with a specific family. The thesis describes related rules of the work with this family and consequent evaluation of obtained data for further support of the family among other involved social organizations. The Evaluation Process of Engagered Child in Family in the Frame of Multidisciplinary Cooperation

The aim of this work is to describe the evaluation process of endangered child in family in the frame of multidisciplinary cooperation. The evaluation process itself is described from the point of view of nonprofit organization's field worker, who works with related client's family. It describes the rules of social work with multiproblem family starting from initial introduction of the family and involved experts up to the evaluation process which makes base for further plans of the work among the family and all involved multidisciplinary organizations. Children and Leisure Time in Jižní Město

This bachelor's work is called Children and their leisure time in Jižní Město. It is dealing with the topic of spending leisure time of children and young adults in the city district Prague 11 - Jižní Město. The work is divided into two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is defining the basic terms important for this work - endangered children and young adults, free time, unorganized children and young adults etc. The practical part is focusing on the secondary analysis of a questionnaire research. The questionnaire research has been organised by drop-in centres for children and young adults Ymkárium, Jižní Pól and Dixie in co-operation with the city district Prague 11. The research was completed in nine basic schools in Jižní Město by lower-secondary pupils ( age group 11 to 15). The respondents were answering the questions concerning their leisure time; trust in adults, parents concern and the rate of socially undesirable phenomenon. Conflicting Custody within the ASLPC

This bachelor thesis is focused on a role of a social worker in a social and legal protection of children and describes its position in the judicial proceeding as the collision custodian. The collision custodian is appointed by the court in those cases when a child can not be represented by its legal representative within the judicial proceeding. This bachelor thesis is based on specialised literature, adequate laws and theoretical findings, as well on practical experiences in a particular judicial proceeding. The aim of this bachelor thesis is first to describe and define the function of the collision custodian, its legislative embeddedness and role, its rights and duties towards the court and the represented child, and its position in the judicial proceeding. Second, it is to place the theme of collision custody into wider circumstances, to show that its execution expands beyond judicial proceeding, and to show its connection with the social and legal protection of children. The Needs of Families Carying for Seniors Suffering by Dementia

The needs of families carying for seniors suffering by dementia. The needs of families carying for old persons with dementia are serious social issue. The goal of my bachelor s work is to describe those needs with respect to their fulfilment by the field respiting care of Czech alzheimer society (later ČALS). I try to investigate if carying families know their needs and how are their needs fulfilled by the field respiting care. I ve chosen the field respiting care provided by ČALS. I ve organised four personal sessions with families members carying for the senior with dementia. On the basis of sessions I have established specific needs of families members carying for this kind of seniors and I have described how were their needs fulfilled by the field respiting care by ČALS. There are enclosures at the end of my work containing literal transcritions of all four sessions, description and characteristic of involved persons. My work discovery allows another point of view of carying persons needs by care providers.
Children's Rights and Welfare Officers as Guardian of Minors in Court Proceedings

The present bachelor's degree thesis focuses on the role of children's rights and welfare officers as court- appointed guardians of minors for the purposes of court proceedings. The thesis is based on theoretical knowledge gained from publications and laws, hands-on experience acquired serving as a guardian ad litem as well as information provided by guardianship judges. The aim of the thesis is to assess whether a court-appointed guardian may actually protect the best interests and well-being of a child. In the first part of the thesis, the author takes a look back at the history of guardianship in the Czech Republic while considering the nature of "the best interests and well-being" of the child and outlining the future of the guardian within the framework of the protection of children's rights, legitimate interests and social needs. The main focus of the thesis is the delimiting of the role of a guardian from the comparative perspective of law and practice, the importance of co-operation between the court and the guardian, the guardian's position in a court proceeding and the steps and acts before the court. Activation Programs for Children and Youth as Prevention of Social Exclusion

This bachelor's thesis focuses on work with children and youth who come from a socially disadvantaged and culturally diverse environment within the scope of their leisure time with regards to their future employment within a society. Primarily, the thesis discusses a positive influence on socialization of children and youth by activation programs in the context of low-threshold-organized streetwork and social work. I am interested in this kind of problematics and I have been working as a volunteer in this social field. I draw on my personal experience, which is connected to a concrete locality. I build my bachelor's thesis on my personal conviction that activation programs aiming on target group of children and youth in the context of low-threshold-organized street work and social work might play a crucial role in prevention of social exclusion.
