The high current pulse inverter
Cejpek, Miroslav ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
This work is devoted to welding, different types of welders and their principle, efficiency and welding using an inverter. The main responsibility of the bachelor project is design of switched welding source. Thanks to the welder as a switched power supply operating at a frequency up to 60kHz welding machine can be realize with very small footprint. The proposal involves the following parameters: Current range 55A – 135A Voltage range 13V – 36V Out voltage 80V Critical current 25A
Parameter analysis of an induction three-phase machine with a wound rotor
Porubský, Ondrej ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the general principle of induction motor operation in the first part. The second part deals with the renovation of the historic motor rotor winding further describes the measurements needed to calculate motor parameters and their analysis.
Emergency back-up power source with a thermoelectric cell
Kubík, Roman ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This master´s thesis is directed to an research of thermoelectric cells as power sources. It is discoursing about general properities of thermoelectric cells and their using at practical aplications in the first part. Then a heating and cooling system is designed and made for a selected type of thermoelectric cell which represents the emergency back-up power source. In the next part a DC/DC step-up converter is designed for a selected type of thermoelectric cell. This converter generates the DC load voltage 12V. The converter is controlled by PWM with a carrier frequency 50kHz.
Switching source in electric tractions vehicle
Škunda, Michal ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The first part of this work describes the design and implementation of switch-mode power supply for control circuits for 12/2x24V 4.5A fuel cells. The introduction picks the issue of power sources in electromobiles and final design and implementation of switching power suply. The next part deals with the issues of fast-charger and generators for power transistors. It describes the structure of DC converter and control and protectin circuits of quick-charger. In the end this work describes selected driver circuits and charge tests on fast-charger as evidenced by measurements.
Low-frequency Power Amplifiers
Matějka, Vojtěch ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor thesis was to design a low-frequency amplifier with some specific parameters. The thesis includes several different connections of known and used amplifiers which are somehow unique or revolutionary. Also it contains the description of classes, the distortion and the structure of amplifiers. The low-frequency amplifier was designed with emphasis on resulting parameters. A design of a printed circuit and the prototype of the board were made. Then the resultant amplifier was modified and adjusted and finally its parameters were measured.
Device for induction heating with a power of 2,5kW
Krist, Petr ; Vašíček, Adam (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with designing of an induction heating of small iron parts. This device should be primarily designed for a farrier practice or an artistic blacksmithing. Considering the practice, the referential heated iron part will be a horseshoe. The basis of this device is a power inverter with serial resonant circuit connected to inverter as a load. This thesis contains designing and development of electrical and mechanical parts of whole device. It means control circuits, resonant circuit, box for heated part, etc. At the end of this thesis is realization of the device, electrifying, optimization and testing. During the test the horseshoe was heated close to demanded temperature.
Motorcycle on-board computer
Hadwiger, Tomáš ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Růžek, Václav (advisor)
My thesis deals with the construction of on-board computers for a motorcycle. The scheme is based on the parameters of onboard computers appearing on the market. In comparison with the models, which are offered commercially it also allows measurement of the motorcycle’s fuel consumption and location by using GPS. On-board computer measures speed, traveled distance, motor speed and engine temperature. It is controlled by a pair of eight-bit AVR microcontrollers. The measured data are showed by a graphical LCD display with touch screen.
Push-pull quasi-resonant DC/DC converter with a transformer
Dvořák, Petr ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with analysis of function and subsequent construction of a quasi-resonant DC / DC converter 300 V / 50 V for an output of about 1.5 kW. The aim of this work is to test and describe the behavior of an experimental converter at various operating parameters. In the theoretical part, resonant circuits are described, as well as our connection of the resonant converter. Based on the used topology and the simulated behavior of the converter, the individual components of the power circuit and its control and excitation circuit are designed in Chapters 4 and 5. The sixth chapter deals with the construction and testing of the converter, including a description of its behavior. The last chapter contains technical documentation.
LiFePO4 battery with BMS circuits for a battery drill
Fiala, Václav ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with problematics of lithium accumulators. There are listed properties and practical use of lithium accumulators. There is also the chapter of lithium-ion-iron-phosphate accumulators, which will be a practical part of this thesis Next part of the thesis solves a safety electrical circuit system for new lithium batteries which will be able to protect batteries against overcharging or undercharging. In the practical part of the thesis new LiFePO4 batteries for the cordless drill were designed. Also, the mentioned safety electrical circuit was designed and tested.
