Influence of community planning at the municipality community planning
Hynková, Alena ; Vojtíšek, Petr (referee)
The author of this rigorous thesis has been involved in community planning of social services in the city of Pilsen since the beginning in 2005. At the times when all municipalities used financial resources from European structural fonds, Pilsen, as first large city, decided to go its own way and started financing its vision from its own budget. The goal of this thesis it to describe development in the field of community planning in Pilsen, as a field where the author has been active on three different positions since the beginning, but also to introduce an insight on effectiveness of the given method of social work (standing on cooperation of the triad) in context of limitations of communal planning on municipality level. The thesis introduces approximately 13 years cycle of city's focused orientation on the customer (receiver of social services, current or potential). Moreover, it discusses the problematics of meeting targets and measures that arose from community planning - implementation of priorities in the city's budget within the framework of strategic planning. In general, social services represent a very specific category. It is usual that one becomes interested in the offer and content of social services only in a moment, when they or their close ones appear in an unfavorable life...
The Principles of Gratuity and Nonprofit in Social Services in Czech Republic
Vojtíšek, Petr ; Tomeš, Igor (advisor) ; Víšek, Petr (referee)
This work targets the theoretical concept of social services system, which is based on the free market's principles and delimitated the regulation role of the state. The work targets the economical aspects of social services system and brings new views of financial flow in the system. Further, the work aims these services, where stay the client as an customer or submitter of the service. The general part reflects the current system of social services (1. chapter), which is based on relatively exacting state regulation and on the subvention system. Financial flows in the system are jumble now, there are combined the client pays and the state subventions without legal claim. Due to the providers cannot create long term strategy of social services development. Further, the subvention system disadvantages any legal forms of providers (NGO's, firms and providers out of the mode of social services' act. The first chapter brings a comparing in the European context. The second and the third chapter bring concept of free market system of social services. Due to specificities of social services is necessary to specify the principles of regulation, first of all the conditions of the claim on the advantaged (gratuitous) service (Chapter no. 2) and specify the conditions for generating of the profit (Chapter no. 3). The...
Macrocyclic ligands for selective complexation of large cations
Šefčík, Martin ; Kotek, Jan (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Pavel (referee)
4 Abstract Nowadays, macrocyclic complexes of actinides receive an increasing attention for their potential applications in radiotherapy. It requires significant demands on their thermodynamic and kinetic stability which are particularly influenced by an appropriate choice of a ligand. This Thesis focuses on a synthesis and characterization of two ligands that are potentially applicable for complexation of lanthanum as a model of radioactive actinium. Both ligands are based on a fifteen-membered cycle containing pyridine group, 15-pyN3O2. The first ligand, H4L1, contains two phosphonate pendant arms. The second ligand, H2L2, contains two phosphinate pendant arms. Both compounds were prepared and characterized. Keywords Macrocyclic ligands, large cations, phosphonic acids, phosphinic acids, dissociation constants
Above-standard healthcare - comparison of Czech Republic with selected countries
Rajmon, Ondřej ; Šámalová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Petr (referee)
In 2013, by the decision of Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic, the intention of standard and additional health care being separated was repealed. This led to chaos which, even though it is already long time ago, still remains. As law does not allow for the combination of standard and additional health care, it therefore depends upon health care providers who decide if and how will they provide additional health care. Hence, no option is given to the patient other than to pay full price, which makes it unaffordable for the majority. Dealing with this issue needs cooperation of professional associations, the public and politicians. The question is how to set the system in terms of equity, discrimination, and optimization. To answer this question, we shall get inspired by foreign countries - namely United States, United Kingdom and Germany. The paper will try to comprehensively analyse approaches of the countries to additional health care by using desk research method. The most important country to gain inspiration from, as far as Czech Republic is concerned, is the neighbouring country of Germany. Keywords: health, standard of health care, additional health care, qualitative standards, health policy, funding of health care, health insurance
Involment of adolescents in entrepreneurship in the Czech republic
Pechoušková, Kateřina ; Šťastná, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Petr (referee)
(in English) The theoretical part of this Bachelor Thesis focuses on the option of including the youth into social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic, as an opportunity for the youth to adopt work habits, and, most of all, acquire experience necessary for integration into their life as a part of society. The Thesis focuses on the positives as well as the possible negatives, that the involvement of youth into the social entrepreneurship could bring. The evaluation was made based on the results of a quantitative research, which consisted of half-structured interviews with social workers, who work as staff in children's homes, half-way homes and lead workers of social businesses.
Expectations of social workers when entering the profession
Novotná, Lucie ; Vojtíšek, Petr (advisor) ; Kodymová, Pavla (referee)
(in English) The diploma thesis deals with the relation of social workers to social work. It uses interviews to determine what helps social workers deal with stress in their work or what makes them leave from the field of social work to another area. Also, it focuses on how realistic expectations social workers have from a specific post. It means which informations they can get from the study, and entrance interview before starting the job. Data was gained through semi-structured interviews with respondents from different groups. The first group is social workers who graduated in social work, but now they are working in other areas. The second group is social workers with experience in the field of fewer than 4 years. The third group is social workers with experience in the field for more than 10 years. The fourth group is the supervisors. This group was chosen to compare the experience with stressful work between supervisors and social workers. This research shows that social workers are influenced by their expectations from a specific post. The most common reason for a field change was financial reasons or burning out. Klíčová slova (anglicky): social work; profession; social worker; employer; working conditions; expectations; job application
The impact of manager's education on managing an organization operating in the field of social work
Cabalková, Kateřina ; Vojtíšek, Petr (advisor) ; Šťastná, Jaroslava (referee)
(in English): This diploma thesis focuses on the impact of top manager's education on managing organization. Specifically, it focuses on directors who have studied in the field classified as helping professions and also have experience in managing an organization operating in the field of social work. The entire thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part introduces a definition of helping profession and presents field of education that a helping worker could study. It also introduces reader the theory of management, from historical development, through introducing management as a management process or as a group of managers. The last chapter of theoretical part presents a theory of management styles, a theory of communication or a theory of intentional influencing through control or support. Aim of the practical part is to find out whether and how education could affect for example manager's crisis management, communication in the organization, employee evaluation, attitude to employees or attitude to clients. A qualitative method was chosen for the research survey, specifically a form of semi-structured in-depth interview. Klíčová slova (anglicky): helping profession, education in helping profession, management, management functions, management styles
Coordination chemistry of pharmaceuticals
Malová, Zuzana ; Lukeš, Ivan (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Pavel (referee)
Present methods for diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases are rather limited and in clinical practise are missing. This thesis is focused on utilization of the positron emission tomography using isotope 64 Cu(II). For the project, two contrast agents were proposed containing ligand for Cu (II) coordination and thioflavine T derivative as fluorescent dye, also as a targeting compound. Structure of the thioflavine T derivative was defined by X-ray structural analysis. The selected fluorescent dye has a high affinity for incipient amyloids and, when bound to their structure, has enhanced fluorescent properties. The proposed ligands are tetraazacyclic. The first one is a diamide, where the thioflavin T derivative is part of a macrocyclic ring. The second selected ligand is linked to the thioflavin T derivative via a linker. Key words: complexes; pharmaceuticals; transition metals
Cyclam derivatives with coordinating bifunctional groups in 1,8 positions for selective copper(II) complexation
Hörnerová, Alžběta ; Kotek, Jan (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Pavel (referee)
Copper radionuclides are the object of increasing interest due to their advantageous properties for use in tumor diagnostics (PET, SPECT) and radiotherapy. In order to accomplish the best biodistribution the metal ion needs to be complexed by a suitable ligand attached to a biologically active molecule. The aim of this thesis is the synthesis of asymmetrically disubstituted derivatives of 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecan (cyclam) with methylphosphonate and methylphosphinate pendant arms in 1,8 positions. Although the synthesis of designed ligands failed, the obtained knowledge will be used in further approaches of preparation of these compounds. Keywords: radiotherapy, SPECT, PET
Radiolabeling of aluminum and gallium complexes with radioisotope 18F
Kuncová, Lucie ; Kubíček, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Pavel (referee)
The most widely used emitter in positron emission tomography is the fluorine isotope 18 F, which can bind to a number of atoms, and thus allows the formation of imaging agents for positron emission tomography. This work will summarize methods for labeling complexes containing aluminum or gallium as a central cation, which can serve as stable carriers of the positron emitter in a human body. Both of these elements have unique physical and chemical properties suitable for molecular imaging. Therefore the development of complex labeling, their structure, coordination environment and some applications in nuclear medicine will be described here.
