v anglickém jazyce The main message of this work is historical reconstruction and recapitulation of distinguished, yet at our times forgotten, contribution of paintress and actress of the National Theatre in Prague Míla Pačová - Krčmářová and of minister of education and national enlightenment in years 1926 and 1934 - 1936, collector and patron in the fields of art Prof. JUDr. Jana Krčmář. First time in the history does this work discover uncommon and various testament of paintress and caricaturist Míla Pačová - Krčmářová. It focuses on reconstruction and examining the importance and further impact of her social bonds with the major personalities from the art scene (eg. Ferdinand Engelműller, Míla Pačová - Krčmářová graduated at his school, or Jan Štursa, to whom Míla Pačová - Krčmářová always stood as a muse). Apart from Míla Pačová - Krčmářová this work reconstructs in a similar way the impact of Prof. JUDr. Jan Krčmář 's social bonds in relation to his recurring post as a minister of education and national enlightenment, which stands for the area of culture - creative arts. This thesis ise focused on art that reflects the beauty of God. The aim of this work is to clarify that art as a human element can express the beauty and transcendental realities of God. We have evolved the presented topic on the basis of publications, articles, lectures and the spirituality of Tomáš Cardinal Špidlík SJ. The work deals with artistic creation as an activity, with the artist as the creator of art and with the image as the result of the activity of the artist. The artist communicates his inspiration through symbolic expression. The created world is an expression of higher facts in the artist's hands. In this work we present iconography and icon as a form of art which expresses the beauty of God. By following iconographic rules it is possible to create art that expresses eternal truths in the language of the present. According to iconographic rules, it is possible to create art that expresses eternal truths in the present language. An example is the practical aplication of the obtained knowledge in the creation of the mosaic God, the donor of every good" in the Church of Our Lady of Karmel in Karolínka (Czech Republic).
Analysis and comparison of French and German poster propaganda in the first world war

English abstract The dissertation analyzes French and German poster propaganda as it was used in and shortly after the First World War. It observes the visual motives, their cultural categories and the displayed themes. By examining 500 French and 500 German posters, the goal of the work is to create a detailed analysis of their contents, usage and argumentation, with which it wants to achieve closer understanding of the contemporary propaganda used by Germany and France. The mentioned motives, categories and themes are then compared between the two nations. Through this comparison, the work strives to find out the unique (or similar) message and language of the propaganda used by each country. Jews in the German and Austrian Armed Forces 1914 -1945

The main aim of this thesis is to introduce the development of the Jewish ethnic group within German language area, also to map and describe their involvement in both world wars in which their representatives had fought, first in the armies of central powers, and later in the army of the Third Reich. Besides chronology of war occurrences, there is a description of structural development of the German and Austrian armed forces with regard to the Jewish ethnic group of both countries and their performance of military service from the moment of introduction of general compulsory military service until the German capitulation in May 1945. This work gives a very detailed description of census of the Jews in German army that began on 1st November 1916 and also of its political consequences in post-war years. In the context of the Third Reich and the German Jews development, the complex of Nazi discriminatory legal standards and their link to the German military power are introduced and described here. This thesis also contains short personal stories of chosen Jewish war veterans of the first and Second World War that are complemented with a lot of personal information obtained mostly from military archives. Economy of Malešov estate during the second half of 18th Century

General analysis of both landlords and serf economy at the Malešov estate within time period ca 1725-1800. From the point of view of methodology, text descents from principles of historical statistics and standard methods used by the history of agriculture. Primary sources (land registers) should be used as principal, with addition of information from literature and/or other sources. Main task is to analyse the economy of Malešov estate in the 2nd half of the 18th century and to compare main issues with other contemporary estates, e. g. Černý Kostelec. Research should be divided into two branches, generally. First of them is to find out total shares of farmland areas used both by the subjects and landlords. Second part focuses toward study of serf homesteads pointing changes of their tenure as well as material equipment. Reflection of Napoleon in Czech literature at the beginning of the 20th century

The aim of this thesis is to acquaint the reader with Czech literature dealing with the person of Napoleon Bonaparte from the beginning of the 19th century to the first third of the 20th century. Furthermore, to objectively capture and try to explain the main views of the authors, which were reflected in their literary works. The thesis deals with the reflection of the person of Napoleon Bonaparte in Czech literature and is shaped to outline the development of the reflection of the French emperor from the beginning of the 19th century to the first third of the 20th century. The gradual chronological synthesis emphasizes key authors and their breakthrough literary works. Selected authors active at the beginning of the last century, namely Jan Miloslav Kryštůfek, Josef Svatopluk Machar and František Josef Čečetka, are subjected to key reflection. The analysis of the works with Napoleonic themes by the selected authors is complemented by the historical context of the time and the introduction of other authors who dealt with the same topic. At the beginning of the thesis, the possibilities of approaching a literary work as a source are presented. The Castle of Sokolov and its History

Za hlavní přínos práce považuji shrnutí dosud známých poznatků o zámku v Sokolově a jejich určitou revizi. Zejména studiem archivního materiálu se mi podařilo získat nové poznatky opravující a obohacující dosavadní znalosti. Značnou pozornost jsem věnovala především zámeckým inventářům. Díky tomu bylo možno mimo jiné zpřesnit dataci a průběh klasicistní přestavby, uskutečněné již před rokem 1800, snad na počátku roku 1795, kdy nejprve došlo k rozdělení tzv. velkého sálu a následně jídelny v severním křídle. Stejně tak považuji za přínosné objevení fotografií interiérů zámku, případně jeho nejbližšího okolí, neboť tento materiál k jeho historii nebyl zatím odborně využit. Provedené sondy do rodinné korespondence, spadající zejména do 19. stol., naznačují, jaký vztah měli Nosticové ke zdejší oblasti, kdy zde pobývali či jak trávili čas. Tato korespondence nebyla doposud více využita, badatelé se o ni spíše zajímali ve vztahu k osobnosti Josefa Dobrovského. Zámek v Sokolově stál z hlediska Nosticů poněkud ve stínu jejich paláce v Praze či zámku v Měšicích, nenacházely se zde ani jejich hlavní sbírky, jako např. sbírka mědirytin, obrazů či nostická majorátní knihovna. Do konce 18. stol. sloužil spíše jako správní centrum a členové rodu zde příliš času netrávili. Určitá změna nastala na poč. 19. stol., kdy byl...
