Statistical investigation of selected emergency call parameters
VLKOVÁ, Kristýna
The diploma thesis is focused on the activity of the EMS dispatch centre of the Emergency Medical Service, which represents an element of critical infrastructure and is also a part of the Integrated Rescue System. This work deals with the functioning of the Medical Rescue Service, its structure, legislation, crisis preparedness, cooperation with other members of the Integrated Rescue System in case of emergencies and crisis situations. In the research section, a statistical survey of measured data of selected parameters (causes, degrees of urgency) of 155 emergency line calls of the relevant region was used along with logical and empirical methods of applied quantitative research, Hypotheses about normality of the selected parameters were confirmed. Hypothesis about the correlation dependence of the selected parameters was rejected. During the survey, the most common acute problems of callers were identified. Calls were stratified according to the degrese of their urgency according to the valid legislativ. The results of this work can be used to raise awareness of the general population in this field. At the same time the collected data can provide a platform for further research.
Assessment of landscape fragmentation of Western Carpathians in relation to occurrence of large carnivores
Vlková, Kristýna ; Romportl, Dušan (advisor) ; Lipský, Zdeněk (referee)
This thesis deals with the landscape fragmentation in relation to the spatial and migration requirements of large carnivores in Western Carpathians region. Based on the data of the model species (Lynx Lynx) occurrence and selected environmental factors, the habitat suitability for Lynx Lynx is discussed using the Maxent habitat model. Employing the Effective Mesh Size method, the current landscape fragmentation caused by the transport infrastructure and urban development is studied in detail in terms of the fragmentation geometry. In addition to the analysis of measure of the current fragmentation, this thesis also includes a prediction of development of the landscape fragmentation in relation to the planned large transport constructions up to the year 2030. Comparing the habitat suitability model with the measure of current landscape fragmentation, the areas with the greatest potential of the Lynx Lynx permanent occurrence as well as the problematic areas in view of the dispersion and individuals migration are determined. Comparing the habitat suitability model with the prognosis of development of the landscape fragmentation, the impact of the planned road constructions on the suitable habitat is assessed.
Labour commuting in the district of Strakonice: geographical aspects and current trends
VLKOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis deals with the study of the labour commuting in the district of Strakonice. Using the data from SLDB 2001 and 2011, the changes of the spatial organization of the commuting and the consequent processes of regionalization are investigated. The methods of the authors L. Sýkora, M. Hampl and M. Halás, respectively employed in the analysis of sociogeographic regionalization of the district of Strakonice are also appropriately assessed and mutually compared. Taking into account these three various methods of sociogeographic regionalization with distinct regionalization criteria allows us to examine geographical aspects of the commuting and its conditioning more in depth. The main part of the thesis concerning the above-mentioned analysis is preceded by the chapters introducing a theoretical description of commuting, the theory of regions and regionalization and the bibliography. The last chapters are devoted to methodology, resource and data processing.
