Effective data searching on the Internet
Tlusťák, Miloš ; Vlach, Jan (referee) ; Lambertová, Petra (advisor)
This master´s thesis is concerned in problematic of data searching on the Internet which is very actual. It focuses mainly how centralized, decentralized and hybrid searching work. This paper also compares advantages and disadvantages of these methods and describes principles and syntaxes of most-used search engines. Possibilities of use intelligent search agents are shown here as well. The practical part of this thesis is dedicated to development and testing of specialized application for searching. This program enable user to harvest contacts of companies in accordance to defined key-words and creates database file from obtained contacts.
Database and test question generation
Rejko, Peter ; Míča, Ivan (referee) ; Vlach, Jan (advisor)
Purpose of the following bachelor thesis is to describe tools with focus on creating databases, HTML language, PHP and database server MySQL and creating practical demonstration with interaction those tools by development application which enables generating test questions. There is PHP language, sending of data between PHP scripts, creating and working with forms, relational databases, database system SQL and of course interaction of language PHP and MySQL describe in chapters. The last chapter deals with practical part of this thesis, with application generating test questions providing possibilities in relation with kind of log on user.
Urban study of developing area Dolní Vítkovice
Vlach, Jan ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (referee) ; Sátora, Josef (advisor)
The object of this Thesis is an area adjacent to European heritage site of Dolni Vitkovice, in the city of Ostrava, Moravian-Silesian Region. This work focuses on making the area more accessible by all means of transportation, overcoming natural and man-made barriers as well as exploring the possibility of dense development on the site while maintaining its industrial identity. All that in context of otherwise slowly shrinking post-industrial city with aging and declining urban population.
Eye-blink detection
Jeništa, Petr ; Atassi, Hicham (referee) ; Vlach, Jan (advisor)
The merits of my Bachelor's Thesis is description of the theoretical principles of methods which are used for eye-blink detection. This work discribes methods for location of human face in a frame with the comlex background. The next principes of the work are different manners how we can find eyes in the frame and its sequential tracking. The last part is the eye analysis and the evaluation whether blinking went ahead or not. There are describes different intermedia which is used for processing of the numerical frame. At the close of the work is described the practical realization of some mentioned methods, thus the realization of algorithm which detects blinking eyes pair.
Solution of hosting services on open-service platforms
Matějíček, Ondřej ; Vlach, Jan (referee) ; Kyselák, Martin (advisor)
The main point of this work is to describe complex solution of web-hosting server based on free software. This should provide main services such a post or www server. The work describes instalation of Unix(GNU/Linux) operating system. In addition are described individual services, evolved conrete implementations and also is spoken their installation and configuration. Though this text describe implementation of concrete application, some part of thist text contains generally information about installation, configuration and securing of linux servers.
Hardware-Software Codesign Algorithms
Vlach, Jan ; Schwarz, Josef (referee) ; Fučík, Otto (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with a parallel design of the program and a technical equipment of embedded systems. It involves both a general description of the whole process and an illustration of the design, a simulation and implementation of the FIR filter. It also includes a description of the proposed program Polis and the simulation system Ptolemy. The conclusion of the project is devoted to a generation of simulation models in VHDL language incl. a subsequent synthesis.
3D Racing Game
Vlach, Jan ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Tóth, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on desing and implementation of 3D racing game with graphical effects. The goal of this thesis is to create a racing game with the help of particle emitors. For collision detection is used Bullet physics library. Because of it, all players react to other scene objects. Terrain is generated from height map and supports multitexturing technique, which allows for multiple textures to be applied to terrain's surface. Game's racing track is defined by collision map. In thesis, there is an emphasis on creating editor for easy map creation and editation. Editor allows for drawing Kochanek-Bartels splines, which are then used to determine the movement of the oponents.
The influence of welding parameters on the quality and mechanical properties of the weld joint
Vlach, Jan ; Stejskal, Ondřej (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The Master´s thesis focuses on the possibilities of using MAG welding on carbon steel 1.1221(C60E) without using preheating. It researches the effect of basic welding parameters on the final characteristics with the goal being to find a welding seam without defects, without using preheating.
QoS simulating of wireless network in OPNET
Rágula, Michal ; Molnár, Karol (referee) ; Vlach, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor work is project and simulation of wireless network with the Quality of Service (QoS) support. It is composed of two parts, the theoretical and the practical one. In the first part there are analyzed findings needed for understanding the existing problems. The second part describes project in detail and setup of network. The theoretical part presents division and format of wireless networks, especially Wi-Fi settings, which is defined by IEEE 802.11 standard. The biggest attention is paid to IEEE 802. 11e standard, which improves the so-called Media Access control MAC (sublayer of line layer) with extension of the QoS (Quality of Service) support in wireless local networks. This standard is important for delay sensitive applications like Voice over Wireless IP and current multimedia. The practical part describes design of wireless network in Opnet Modeler settings and configurations of particular components for the right utility. The required quality of service (QoS) support is achieved by authorization of HCF (Hybrid Coordination Function) protocol at all operating stations and AP access points. It was necessary to make two models. First of them supported the QoS service. On the other hand the same service was inaccessible for the second one. Statistics are made by comparison of final graphs of these two models.
Analysis of the process of division of a limited liability company
Vlach, Jan ; Hobza, Tomáš (referee) ; Kopřiva, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the process of splitting a limited liability company in relation to tax and accounting aspects. In particular, it deals with the division of a business corporation by the method of division by spin-off with the creation of a new company and division by spin-off by merger. In the first part of the thesis, the issue of establishing business companies and cooperatives with a focus on a capital company is described. In the second part of the work, the division of a specific limited company is affected in two different variants.
