These buildings are connected by a glass passage way with winter indoor garden that can be entirely opened to the exterior during the summer season. The construction of the historic building is mostly current with a few changes in floor plan. The wooden construction of the mansard roof will be replaced by a system of modern wooden timber roof trusses, preserving the current exterior shape of the roof. The construction of the new building is made of concrete bricks in the underground level and a part of the above ground level. The distinctive element is the glass construction, using stainless steel support system and double insulated glass. From the architectural point of view, the current design of the historic building will be maintained with the distinctive mansard roof, cornices, chambranles round windows and window grid pattern 2 x 3. As well as that, the new building respects the old landmark according to it’s dimensions and floor plan. The newly constructed building doesn’t rival the old one, on the other hand it appears to be lighter and more elegant.
