Technological unemployment

(in English): Will robotisation lead to unemployment? What will be the society-wide impact of automation? Will it affect the economy? And what is the general macroeconomic and microeconomic context of such developments? These and many other questions are asked throughout this thesis. On the next 70 or so pages, a detailed overview of changes connected with robotics revolution is provided, while the primary topic is the issue of technological unemployment. Based on the study of historical evidence, there is a proposition pronounced on a qualitative difference between current technology and earlier technological milestones consisting in the ability of the machines to substitute not only routine manual work but the non-routine cognitive tasks as well. This hypothesis is then being developed and analysed through a more detailed examination of the fundamental differences of robotics and the current technological foundation of industry and services. The method employed is a critical analysis of other authors' works, thanks to which it was possible to present impressive results such as the list of probabilities of automating a wide spectrum of jobs in the course of the next few decades based on an extrapolation of the current level of progress in machine learning and data mining. This bachelor thesis focuses on marketing and advertisement in entertainment industry. In theoretical part the work initially outlines basic marketing knowledge and after that attends to the theory of advertisement. In analytical part the work introduces marketing in entertainment industry on the example of movie industry. It examines movie success criteria, and afterwards analyzes, which factors affect the success of the movies. Finally, this work researches advertisement in movie industry.

This Bachelor Thesis is concerned with pricig strategies of companies. It analyzes various pricing policies, methods and factors, that determine price-settings. The main objective of this Thesis is to find out, in spite of rich variety of pricing models, if exist some general formula, that can be made best pricing decisions by. Then how important are surroundings of firms? The work reviews the field of pricing strategy and offers overview of the significant strategies standard used by firms and described in the available literature. It presents the circumstances, in which each can be used and their advantages and disadvantages. The study leads to this conclusions: many different parties are involved price decision, it means external and internal factors. But there is still field for pricing decisions in firms. It seems, that the general formula can be made by costumer's needs in a manner, that will achieve the company's goals. That's the best way about as good as it can be.

Shadow economy and its measurement

Stínová ekonomika je téma poměrně frekventované a není zdaleka jen doménou ekonomické teorie. Na tento pojem narazíme velmi často v tisku nebo v běžném hovoru. Zájem je pochopitelný. Část ekonomických aktivit lidí je skryta, odehrává se ve stínu oficiálních statistik a vyvolává řadu otázek. Jaké hospodářské jevy jsou vlastně skryté a proč ? Jde jen o snahy vyhýbat se placení daní a unikání před zákonem nebo je oblast stínové ekonomiky pestřejší? Jaké jsou důsledky? O kolik oficiální ekonomika přichází v důsledku existence stínové ekonomiky? Nebo naopak, existují nějaké pozitivní dopady stínové ekonomiky? Samozřejmě největší zájem o oblast stínové ekonomiky má stát a speciálně jeho složky zabývající se hospodářskou politikou a legislativou. Existence stínové ekonomiky pro stát znamená nižší příjmy do státního rozpočtu, což je vážný problém. Neméně vážná je okolnost, že nedostatky v příjmech musejí být zpravidla vyvažovány zvyšováním daňového zatížení oficiální části ekonomiky, což má řadu ekonomických důsledků. Obecně vzato ale stínová ekonomika znamená pro stát především nejistotu. Nejistotu o skutečném stavu ekonomiky. Financial management of ESF projects

Čerpání evropských prostředků je v současné době často skloňovaným tématem veřejného života, politických debat i každodenní reality hospodářských subjektů. Vzhledem k blížícímu se konci stávajícího programovacího období 2000-2006 veřejnost také sleduje vývoj čerpání evropských prostředků, které dostala česká republika po vstupu do Evropské unie v roce 2004 k dispozici. Jak už to bývá, když něco končí, něco jiného tímto začíná. A tak i v oblasti evropských fondů je to právě letošní rok, kdy vrcholí přípravy na nové programovací období 2007-2013. Jsou dokončovány nové Operační programy a konkretizují se pravidla jejich realizace. Je proto velmi aktuální diskutovat zkušenosti, které nám realizace projektů v předchozím, pro českou republiku prvním období přinesla. Tyto zkušenosti nám mohou pomoci odstranit možné bariéry čerpání v dalším období. Tato bakalářská práce si klade za cíl pojednat otázku finančního řízení projektů Evropského sociálního fondu (ESF) a upozornit na dopady, které s sebou v této oblasti rozhodnutí organizace pro vstup do projektu ESF přináší. The political business cycle

The main aim of my thesis was to describe the basic resources of political-business cycle and elements which have an influence on it. The tendency to put this phenomenon to a wider context showed us that the political-business cycle is affected by the type of electoral system, increasing power of special interest groups or bureaucratic system. Among the economic elements we can include restrictions of the Government to conduct a monetary policy because of central bank independence. Application of theoretical knowledge to conditions of the Czech Republic proved to be very problematical. Due to the economical transformation the political and economic system in our country demonstrated in non-standard conditions which made the empirical testing of political-business cycle more difficult. In connection with this also comes a problem of short time series which significantly reduces the possibility of any relevant comparison.

Injection-induced seismicity: statistic and energetic analysis

Fluid injection into the rock formations represents a valuable analog to study the role of high-pressurized fluids in the seismogenic process. It is carried out in depths up to first thousands of meters in order to increase the permeability of rock formation for better exploitation of hydrocarbons and geothermal energy. The increased fluid pressure results in decrease of the strength of fractures and faults which causes their brittle failure that is observed in the form of microearthquakes and enables imaging of the stimulated rock volume. Besides this positive role, seismicity sometimes increases to the level that can be felt by the population, which can cause concerns about the seismic risk of these industrial operations. Thus, one of the main interests focused by recent studies deals with the maximum earthquake that can be triggered by hydraulic stimulations. I introduce the ratio between the hydraulic energy and released seismic energy, the seismic efficiency of injection, to assess the effect of fluid injection to the seismicity. This parameter is applied to data from two geothermal reservoirs (Gross Schönebeck and Soultz-sous-Forets) and one gas reservoirs (East Texas).
