New approaches in penitentiary care - model of the Open Prison Jiřice

The aim of the rigorous work is to identify and characterize the innovative concept of penitentiary care applied in the treatment of convicted men in the building Open Prison in Jiřice. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of elements of innovation at the architectural level (modification of outdoor spaces "Open Prison", specific accommodation for convicts, construction of a breeding zone, cultivation zone, ornamental gardens) and at the socio-psychological level. This is reflected in the professional work and application of specifically focused activities of the treatment program. It is based on a higher degree of professional intervention in terms of the application of the method of "accompaniment" and "case management", an open approach of employees in a mutually constructive, supportive communication with convicts. In the practical part, a qualitative survey will be used, which will aim to compare selected areas of activities of the program of treatment of convicts included in the execution of imprisonment in a ward with a medium level of security and a low level of security. Diploma Thesis: An analysis of the results from educational projects focused on the value attitudes of secondary school pupils that compares two concrete educational projects - Jeden svět na školách by NGO People in Need and Příběhy našich sousedů Post Bellum civic society. In the theoretical part, the thesis presents sources of civic and media education and the link between legislative and strategic documents in the Czech Republic thanks to the International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS) also under international comparison. In the practical part, the thesis focuses on the comparison of methodological, pedagogical, and other aspects of educational projects and solves questions regarding management and the meeting of set targets. This diploma thesis is focuses on management in private and public kindergarten. The aim of the thesis is find out specifics of management in two different preschool institutions. Diploma thesis is consisting of theoretical and practical parts. First part of theoretical thesis inform about public and private sector briefly. The main topic of theoretical part is describing different functions of management, which are important for the functioning of the school. It includes the areas of school management, school funding, but also personnel management. Furthermore, it is also focuses on the legislative conditions, curricular documents and qualifications of leaders in pre primary institutions include their rights, obligations and competences. The end of the theoretical part is describing cooperation with the founders and parents, which is one of the most important factors affecting the quality of kindergarten. Competitive Advantages of Secondary Schools

More recently, competition issues have not only focused on the private sector, but have become increasingly important in public administration, especially in the field of education. The thesis focuses on the issue of the competitive environment of secondary schools in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region, which provide education in the educational program Public administration. The selection of these schools was based on an analysis of the education market. The aim of this work is to find out what the competitive characteristics of secondary vocational schools are through the lens of individual headmasters. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, a competition-oriented literature survey is conducted. The survey then provides an up-to-date view of the perception of the competition in education in the world by various authors and scholarly articles. The chapter entitled Quality in Education characterizes the Quality of the school according to the Czech School Inspection and also serves as a basis for the practical part. The Diploma thesis titled Educational needs of elderly and their motivation for education has been aimed to provide an analysis of the current needs, interests and motivation in the area of education of elderly and introduce this issue to the public. The theoretical part of the thesis provides a brief overview of the basic terms and findings related to the topic of seniors' education. It comprises a description of opportunities, specific features and aspects of the issue, including existing and potential barriers. Amongst other things, this chapter emphasises a society-wide significance of the seniors' education, considering, in particular, the recent demographic trends. The thesis outlines future challenges, difficulties and possible solutions associated with education of the respective social group. Further, the theoretical part focuses on the phenomenon of motivation. It sums up basic findings gained to date, defines individual types of motivation as well as the function and role motivation plays in terms of participation in further education of adults, particularly seniors. This diploma thesis focuses on problematic of further professional education and development of Czech Republic police officers. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with lifelong education, professional development and further education. In this part of this thesis basic terms and definitions are defined. Furthermore, in the theoretical part the diploma thesis analyzes competency profile and professional requirements for police officers of Czech Republic. Next part of the thesis analyzes educational institution of Czech Republic Police and also Conception of lifelong education of Czech Republic police officers. Education of people during their custodial sentence

The aim of this diploma thesis is to approach a broad topic related to the education of individuals serving a prison sentence and their motivation for education. The work contains a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, with the help of specialized literature, I focus on crime, prisons, including prison history. The next chapter deals with prison statistics, punishments in the Czech Republic, including alternative ones. Subsequently, I focus on resocialization, education and motivation of individuals serving a prison sentence. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with treatment programs. In it I present the activities of the program, how the program is compiled and their types of programs. In the practical part I present my hypotheses, research methods and characterize a group of respondents. I made a case study with one specific prisoner. The next step is a questionnaire survey, which was sent to prisoners. The processing of its results and hypotheses follows. The last chapter of the diploma thesis contains a conclusion and a discussion of the acquired knowledge. Activation and educational activities in retirement homes during the coronavirus crisis

The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of offering activation and educational activities in retirement homes during the coronavirus crisis. The main goal of this work is to analyze the offer of educational and activation programs in retirement homes and findings and definition of differences in the offer of these programs in the period before and during the coronavirus crisis. The aim of this work should be to describe the current offer of activation and educational activities in homes for the elderly, how it differs from the normal situation and whether the current state affects the participation of seniors in these activities or their preferences. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part describes the definition of basic concepts of this problematics, describes the quality of life of elderly and society's attitude towards the elderly, functions and goals of education of elderly, possible ways of motivation and barriers in education of elderly and finally the importance and staffing for educational and activation activities in retairment homes.
